We took it back less than 20 hours later in the original package with the receipt and were told they cannot take it back due to they purchase them from a 3rd party vendor and they will not get reimbursed from their supplier, so no exchange would be granted. This not a huge dollar purchase ($18) but if you sell a product you should stand behind what you sell. Always thought Smoking Joe's was a upstanding business, I guess I was wrong. Please use your best judgement when frequenting this business.

This is absolutely one of the greatest hidden little lunch spots in downtown Buffalo. I work a block over, so I've been here many times and I can honestly say I have never had something bad from here. I tried their fried bologna today, and I can honestly say it was the best I have had in Buffalo. Their subs are great - which is weird, because the ingredients are pretty normal, but somehow they taste better than other places. My very favorite part is their breakfast sandwiches. They're kind of like crack for me. Unlike Timmy Ho's or Dunkin, they make them on bread that they bake fresh in the store every morning and the eggs/sausage/bacon/whatever is usually cooked fresh on the grill as well. I haven't tried one, but the salads get rave reviews at my office too. And, finally, the staff (Nick, Mike, Deb and some very experienced cooks) are super friendly and down-to-earth as well. Sorry if I sound like a fanboy here. I've been meaning to write this review for a while. Kudos are well-deserved. Be forewarned: This place serves all kinds - Lawyers and hobos, side by side. It is an experience, but definitely in a good way. (Note: there are three Holly Farms stores in Buffalo. This one on Pearl St. downtown, one on Allen, and one on E. Delavan. They aren't related to each other. This review is for the downtown one.)

This didn't used to be a 711, but recently it was converted, sort of like Cat Stevens and Cassius Clay. It has average 711 prices and a less-than-average selection, but in an area with almost no 24-hour gas stations and convenience stores, it's very useful and, er, convenient. The gas prices here are usually a bit higher than at the cheaper places in the area, but the fact that you can literally roll down the hill with no gas all the way from my front door to the gas pumps here, means it's never going to get less than a three from me. Speaking of 3, this also used to be called 311, but then they realized that they don't make anyone feel like they are home again (except me).
