I was there during the week on lunchtime with friends, it's got this really lovely laid back cosy style, and was super friendly. I like the fact they have a massive blackboard wall, with lots of menu choices, from tapas to light bites, and have specials too. We headed to the back of the building which almost feels conservatory like. The whole menu looked mouthwatering, I opted for the Home Smoked Trout with cream cheese, scrambled egg and radish salad. All of the flavours really complemented each other, and the scrammed egg was the lightest and fluffiest I've ever tasted. It was an ample portion, and really set me up for the rest of the day. The other thing I should mention is price, you get high quality for a great price. My brunch was priced at £6.90. The perfect price for a lunch deal in my opinion. I shall most certainly be back, and would highly recommend this place.

I think most of their meat is supplied from Pipers Farm, where the animals are treated incredibly well, they are mostly grass-fed and the meat tastes incredible. As someone who doesn't buy a lot of meat anymore, and I hardly eat meat when I eat out because I can't be sure of where the meat has come from, this is a massive plus! Thank you to all the staff for creating a unique experience!

They do a deal at lunchtime where they cook up a few dishes and you can have whichever of them for £2 and add rice or noodles for £2. I had a chicken masaman curry and rice the other day for £4! You can barely get a McDonalds for £4! What's on offer varies for the lunch deal but they do tend to stick to popular dishes. They do proper yummy thai prawn crackers too (the orange ones that are slightly spicy) with sweet chilli sauce and play Thai music and the staff are lovely. If it was 30 degrees outside you'd feel like you were in Thailand! Decor is basic, long benches for seating and toilets aren't the best! They've got some pictures of the food on the wall, along with the specials boards and menu. I love it when there's pics of the food because I like to try new things and this helps with what to expect. There's also lots of interesting traditional Thai decor; old photos in frames and some offerings for buddha and pictures of the king. Don't go here for a night out kind of meal because it's quite quick to arrive and there is only a small bar, but definitely go if you want a fresh and delicious, cheap meal. It's the best in town for thai in my opinion.

I think this was to reflect their new day/lunch menu that, during the summer, they sell through their open windows. I've eaten here so many times that I now have 2 dishes that I rarely stray from. The Gosereng Malaysian Noodles and Chicken in Chilli Oil with Pineapple Rice. Both are absolutely delicious! The noodles are spicy with lots of veg and flavour. The chicken in chilli oil is saucier than you would imagine, it's not just flooded in oil. The pineapple rice is so good, not overly sweet and with a nice flavour of its own. Think wagamamas style noodles benches, chilli pots on the table and an all Thai cast.

Serving quality organic food and great coffee, it is often difficult to find a table in this surprisingly large café. (From the outside it looks like a small hobbit-built dwelling, but inside, the deceptively diminutive exterior, gives way to a spacious interior, with plenty of hobbit sized tables and seating.) It's possible to take food and drink outside to on of the picnic benches situated in the mini-adventure playground to the front of the building. There's quite a buzz to the place, especially in the mornings, with clusters of friends all indulging in animated discussions, although it's not uncommon to see people taking root for breakfast armed with the days copy of the Guardian. There's a very definite creative flavour to much of the chatter that goes on here, even the staff are all artists, musicians and writers. It's definitely one of Bristol's best child friendly bohemian spaces.

Based in the middle of Gloucester road, it has a fair bit of competition. In fact, over the last few years there have been quite a few burgers restaurants open in Bristol, but Atomic Burger offer a really different, fun experience. First things first; the restaurant is comic book themed. Everything from the walls, floor, menu and windows is covered in marvel-style comic book pictures. That obviously makes it a great place to take kids, but you'll also find lots of couples, groups and students. It's probably not the best place for a business lunch. Me and my girlfriend went for the first time yesterday and it was great to sit outside and make the most of the sun. We sat on the same table as another couple and got chatting to them. They had been to Atomic Burger MANY times and were on a quest to try every burger on the menu. If you do then you get 20% off for 12 months. Just ask for a sticker after your meal and if you collect them all you get the life discount. The couple both had cocktails that had a bottle of Sol larger upside down in the glass - I didn't care what it was, I wanted one! After ordering "whatever they've got" it turned out to be a 'largerita' which was SO good! The Sol slowly tops up your margarita as you drink - genius! I'm a sucker for a gimmick! The menu is big and actually a little bit confusing. I went with the LLAP: beef burger, pulled chicken, blue cheese sauce, Louisiana hot sauce and spring onion. It was amazing! I had the garlic and chilli fries which were also really good. The best thing for me though, was the beavers jalapeño mustard. Mmmm, beavers jalapeño muuuustard!! A must try if you like spicy food. We left, met some friends at another bar, and then went back to Atomic Burger to show them the largeritas. I'm not sure if I'll eat there enough times to get the 20% life discount, but I'll definitely be back!

The food isn't exactly diet friendly, but who goes to a burger joint for salad? There's absolutely loads of choice so you can pretty much have anything you want on top of your burger, and you have the choice of chicken, beef or veggie. All the burgers are named after famous characters and the menu looks great. There's some crazy drinks on there too - from bacon milkshakes to lageritas (a personal fave!) My boyfriend ordered the hot chicken wings recently. He was warned they were extremely hot but he can handle spice so he went for it anyway! What followed was hilarious! One bite and he was sweating, dizzy, couldn't feel his lips and not feeling so clever anymore. We since found out they are made with three of the hottest chillies on earth! They had over a million Scoville units! They do takeaway if you don't want to sit in (or you've got someone you can send to pick it up and bring it to you in bed with a hangover!) They also do a mean hotdog! I had a hotdog with red onions, American cheese sauce and pulled pork the other day and it was yummy! It's quite a lot of money for what it is (£10ish a burger) but you get a naughty, messy meal that's delicious! I took my 12 year old nephew and he loved it because it's something a bit different! My 30 yr old mates also love it for the same reason.

At BTP, you will find the most sandwich and full-bodied semi-sweet pancakes you will ever eat in your life. Flavoured with a cascade of maple syrup, they will be the perfect match for the fried bacon with which they are served. Tired of avocado toast - let's face it, I can do it myself at home, without spending nine effing pounds - I wanted to try the famous eggs Benedict. Accompanied by two slices of sourdough toast bread and hollandaise sauce they were fire! I also wanted to add some bacon just to keep it light... because why not?! I was expecting classic American bacon in thin, crunchy and super scorched strips, but I think this is the English version: thick and almost rounded slices, more like a slice of meat, but still delicious af. The meat was tender and cooked evenly, nicely browned at the edges.

Our food came out in a timely matter and was absolutely delicious. They veggie breakfast was so tasty! The only thing I'd change would be to add a vegan sausage or avocado in place of the missing egg from the standard veggie breakfast. The banh mi was perfect as is! We finished our food and soaked up some son. Everything about our experience was enjoyable and we will definitely be returning!

They were nice enough, but they spent most of their time standing outside smoking. They have LOADS of clearly labeled vegan options, which is always appreciated. I got the Mothership: This Isn't A Chicken & Bacon Pie with leeks and white wine, minty mushy peas, crispy onions, gravy, and mash. It was edible; just soooooooo much less flavorful than it should have been and could have been given its components. The pie was mostly crust with very little filling; the mash was also barely there compared to their marketing photos on social which make it seem like you're getting some enormous tower of delicious eats. The food was bland, the atmosphere was bland, the experience was bland. There are better pie and mash places in Bath!
