Whatever you do, avoid the older gentleman like the plague if you're getting a pedicure. He's absolutely terrible. He shaved my toenails down to the nail bed to the point where I'm bleeding through gel nail polish. He clipped my cuticles and skin to the point where I'm bleeding. He was extremely rude and told me I needed to go see a doctor and that's my toes "look better" now. The only reason I paid for this service is because I'm in the industry. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS TOM IS DOING YOUR NAILS.

Called and spoke with the owner. It's been 2 days now and my toe is infected and extremely painful. He wouldn't give me a refund and only offered a free service (as if I would've ever go back there). BEWARE OF THIS SALON!

Expectation

So I just got engaged and I really wanted to get my nails redone. I called this salon and they were able to schedule me a last minute appointment, (I called an hour in advance) which was nice. I explained that I had gotten engaged over the weekend and I wanted my nails to look nice because I wanted to take photos. I showed the woman the photo of the ombré manicure that I was hoping for and explained how I liked the shape and length of the nails in the photo. I really just wish that if nail techs were unable to please their paying customers, they would just be honest and say "no, I cannot do it." Instead, I feel completely disappointed with the result. There is still glitter all over my nails from my previous manicure that I asked her to remove. I asked her if she could put a tan tint on them because they are mainly white nails, and she said that she didn't have anything! She gave me my check, wanting me to pay full price. After I explained (as I was sobbing) to the man who was cashing me out that I was extremely disappointed because I had plans to take photos, he knocked off a whopping $5. I paid $55 for this manicure that I am ashamed of. I do not even want to wear my new ring. I'm upset that I wasted my valuable time because I am very busy with schooling and work. The customer service and lack of empathy is what hurts the most though.

Ask for Gee!! I have been going to Gee for over a year now and will not go anywhere else! She is amazing!

I'm not local and come to Bethlehem around 2/3 times a year to see my grandparents, and from now on I'll only get my hair done when I come out here. The atmosphere was so amazing, everyone was chatting, music was good, and my stylist Ashley was so attentive and did better than I imagined. She fixed my hair and in only an hour. I just wanted to say thank you again and recommend this place to everyone!

However i really feel Apotheca needs to know about my experience. I walked out with the second worst hair cut of my life. I asked for a shag hair cut, with curtain bangs. I ended up with some sort of bob like cut. My bangs were utterly destroyed. The stylist took a weird blunt chunk out of the center, and didn't blend them. I have a weird mix of long and short chunks for bangs now. To their credit a senior stylist 'fixed' my bangs-its better than what the original stylist did, but it's still a step below good. I realize I was given to a junior stylist, and it's a learning process, but I think she really needs a senior stylist to take her under their wing and mentor her. I certainly will not be going back.

I cannot continue to support this business with my patronage. My nails are naturally VERY thin and…read moreflexible. Every time I have had a service here, I have always asked for my nails to be hand filed rather than drill filed due to how thin they are. My requests are usually ignored When I need my gel/dip nails removed, rather than a gentle soak off with acetone and polish remover, the tech will JAM ANOTHER NAIL TIP UNDERNEATH my nails to remove them and it is so painful!! When I wince; they always act annoyed or surprised. Like hello? You are tearing up my nails. I thought these behaviors were normal and I lived dreading certain parts of what is supposed to be a relaxing service. Unfortunately I have had this happen at other salons in the area as well. I recently spoke to and received phenomenal service from a professional nail technician who works at a different salon, and she told me that these poor practices are due to laziness and because some salons want to get as many people in and out as they can. Please be aware that this is not ok. Now I know better and will not be back. PS: Once when I asked for the heels of my feet to be scrubbed for callouses, they pulled out A LITERAL LEMON ZESTER TO TAKE THE SKIN OFF MY FEET. Pretty sure that is not sanitary nor a safe practice.
