My Explorer was in need of the rear end to be rebuilt after 100,000 miles, as it started howling on a recent trip. I was expecting this not to be a cheap repair but with the expertise of SDL, they still made it reasonable and what I was expecting to pay. I also brought up a couple of small leaks on my transfer case and Phil's team included the repair as part of the initial quote! If you're looking for a repair shop to talk to you in unicorns in pixie dust, please get that out of your mind before you walk in the door as you will basically get a point blank description of what is wrong with your vehicle and what is needed for them to complete any service to your vehicle. Be prepared for direct and honest communication! Don't expect to get a trophy for showing up and bringing your car in for service! Thanks again Phil and team, I have a feeling the bearings in my rear end were making noise longer than I thought, as I don't recall my vehicle being as quiet as it is now for quite some time! Even if you have a smaller job, (I needed to repair my mower deck for the riding mower after hitting a stump), this is the place to go. A new deck would cost me over $1,000, but they welded the two supports for $150. I believe they can even come to your location, but I took the mower deck to them. G & M replaced our existing railing and added a new railing for the steps…read more They did a fantastic job! The railings were designed and fabricated exactly as we envisioned. Our stairs have a unique curve so the guys did the rough fabrication on site to make sure the curve matched perfectly. Unlike other (cheaper) vendors, G & M uses high quality materials and offers powder coating for a longer lasting finish (won't rust)! They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish, met the timeline they quoted and installed a great product. We are thrilled with the results and definitely recommend them. The top portion of an exterior trim window on my second floor was starting to rot and peel away, so…read moreI was looking to have someone to be able to remove and replace it. It was a bit of a tricky job due to the trim being arched, which meant it had to be traced and cut appropriately. I had the pleasure of contacting David, whom I asked several questions of how he would go about the process and I felt very comfortable with everything he walked through. He scheduled the work for a couple weeks out, text notifications let me know when he would be arriving and he was able to complete everything within a few hours. David cut the replacement beautifully using PVC so there is no maintenance on it in the future and caulked / sealed up all points of exposure to rain. He was very efficient, kind, and answered all the questions I had since I'm learning to do these kinds of tasks on my own. The pricing was extremely competitive and there's no question that I'll have David back pretty soon for other jobs around my home that I'm not comfortable handling.
