This business is now just Tom Snyder Painting. "D" has dropped out of the business. We used them over 10 yr ago and decided to do this again after interviewing several painters. We have some rotten wood trims needing replacement. Why do we paint again so soon you may ask? Well, we have cedar siding (for those who have cedar siding, you know the cost of high maintenance with this siding). The paint job from 10+ years ago still looks good, but we are extremely picky and detailed (this can be an expensive curse). Anyway, Tom and his crew were very professional with great craftsmanship in repairing some of the wood siding/prime and paint. They sealed the cracks on the wood and around the windows, renailed the cedar boards that popped out, and much more. They did an awesome job and completed in 1 week on a one story 2800 ft2 house. They also repainted my front door, and it looks brand new after.
I watched the painters working one day. They've 1 guy spraying the paint on and the other follow the 1st guy rolling the paint in. Tom comes by to check on them frequently and gave great direction to guide them. No problem with communication with Tom at all. They pay close attention to hot weather and high wind which both are not good for painting. All the painters we interviewed were very nice, but Tom offered me a lot more detailed in how they would do the repair (as an engineer, this is what I listened to).
He is flexible in the type of paint you like to use, but he recommended Sherman Williams Resilince. I ended up upgrading to a higher quality SW paint, and he just charged me the paint price difference. No problem with this order change. read more
