The agreement was to begin Sept 15th 2020 and end September 15th 2021. We paid that contract in full. I requested payments be stopped because we were switching gyms. In October no payment went through. The owner contacted us Monday, November 15th 2021, requesting payment for October. I clearly explained to her that we had fulfilled our contract and would not be paying her anymore money. On November 16th 2021 a payment was processed. I contacted the owner and requested a refund. She claimed she didn't know why the payment was processed and said she would let me know when she got to the gym and could look. She has since ignored my messages and failed to respond to my request for a refund. I would suggest you stay away from this gym as the owner is dishonest and will continue to charge you even after you leave!

Not to mention his deep knowledge and wisdom of JiuJitsu. I just had my first match yesterday and he protected me all the way through to 2nd place with great coaching as I battled. Not only that I made new friends, lost 58lbs and am addicted to JiuJitsu. The atmosphere is rare because everyone is awesome. Once you find that- you call that home. Five stars.

I've never been to headquarters but from what I've heard it is the same atmosphere. Professor Rivaldo Junior is extremely skilled, humble and takes time to walk you through some of the more difficult systems. He also pushes you past your comfort zone... gently. The staff is also awesome. I have three kids attending their program and I am very happy with the level of attention and patience all the instructors have. Lastly, they have some pretty big names; although, I do not follow professional fights like UFC, various BJJ tickets, and IBJJF matches but I am proud to say that many members of the gym are pros, down to earth, and I'm grateful to do my little part to train with them.

Roland's academy is…read moreaffiliated under Master Pedro Sauer, who teaches Jiu-Jitsu the way it was originally intended to be trained, for self-defense (dealing with strikes on the ground, weapons, etc.), and not only for competition. There are no egos, and everyone is there to help each other get better. Safety is heavily emphasized, and while rolling is intense (as it should be) it is also friendly. Roland is a good teacher who wants to give people the real deal. He also has several high level brown belts who help to teach, as well as a few that will soon be testing for their Black Belt under Master Sauer. There is an established curriculum that is followed, with clear criteria for each belt rank, and the curriculum is worked on frequently in class. If you are looking for BJJ, and are interested in it for all of the reasons that made it popular in the first place, you should check it out. I've tried several of the other BJJ academies in town and, while I found good people at all of them, I wish I had found this one first.

Prof Malone and the class immediately made me feel welcome. I was very impressed with his technique, attention to detail, and natural teaching ability. The Gracie/Sauer based curriculum provides goal directed learning and sets a high standard. The focus on self defense is what sold me, and I now feel more confident on the mats and in the street. The personal attention you get here was hard to find elsewhere. Can't speak enough about this place. You owe it to yourself to check it out!

I was told equipment will be provided then the day before the class i find out that i actually need to buy it all myself because it's "not guaranteed." Not what i was told at the beginning but okay (i have texts to prove it too). It seems like whoever is in charge of responding to peoples questions and concerns doesn't really care if you're not apart of the gym already. Not sure if that's what's going on for sure, just how it feels after being ignored and getting a lackluster or no response at all. THAT'S NOT EVEN THE WORST PART. I'm a total beginner. I have made that very clear from the beginning and i think i have asked which Muay Thai class is the beginner class (because you guys have 3-4 of them at different times) because obviously I dont want to go into an intermediate class when, again, I'm a beginner. You think you'd want to answer this question relatively fast so someone doesn't get hurt but i guess thats not the case here. I thought i found a good gym and one that was close to the house but i guess it's back to finding a new gym.
