So most people who have gone into the Kebab place are off their face drunk, normally after some crazy night out. Now I will admit, I had been out, the thing is I hadn't been drinking so I could truly taste and see what this place was. A bottom the barrel s-hole for the drunk and bumbling. Now fair enough this is a Kebab shop near student accommodation. Sadly that is not an excuse for this.
Food: I went for a King size Kebab and Chips with BBQ and Garlic Sauce accompanied by a 500ml bottle of Coke(Which was needed) The proportions for this meal was not worth what I paid for it. £5.50 anywhere else would have gotten me so much more anywhere else. So your probably thinking the taste will make up for it. No don't be stupid I rated this one star, the taste was edible, but only just I would equate it to those child friendly crayons. Edible not the best tasting though. Now here is where things just go from worse to the Third Reich. the Chips had no structure, as soon as that sauce hit the chip it was basically a yogurt. I could even pick up a chip on my plastic fork without having to do some cradling maneuver. and you know what speaking of the source, lets get this out the way the guy basically put all the sauce on one side, the distribution needs to be relative to the amount of food you have. Honestly if this is enough to make you not go, you haven't even read the rest yet.
Customer Service: Now I am not one to judge but when the guy doesn't know how much the kebab would cost in the shop then what is the point, So there are three option, Medium, Large, or King(Extra Large). Let me get this out the way, call it what it is, Small Medium Large none of this make it look bigger bull they are pushing. but to the point, £5.50 plus my drink which was £1.00. £6.50. I gave the guy about £7, he then gave me £1.50 change, work his maths out there. If you are going to hire a guy to work at the counter make sure he can do basic maths. Those curious I did not give him the money back as at this point I knew this food was going to be a disappointment. This is also the guy who put the sauce on my food, so not his biggest fan.
Hygiene: Now you guys all know those little green pieces of laminated Cardboard they have to put in their window to show their hygiene rating. There's was a 1, now this is where you question why did I go in. It was about 3 in the morning, I was a tad tired, oh and also it was placed above the door so it was in nobody's basic line of site, Now I am not one to base my entire experience of one moment but this could count. As we left after this vile experience I looked for it and saw it was a one which made me instantly feel betrayed. How is this allowed, going out of your way to hide it from people, It wasn't like they had no where else to put it, the door was made of glass, the walls were primarily made of glass, as they were 2 large windows.
Are there other things I could say, yeah pretty much. Am I going to say them, probably not. you get the idea. My overall conclusion here is go around the corner to the place with a hygiene rating of 3 and you will probably have a much better experience. I have yet to review that place but I am sure that day will come.
