Very…read morerude staff member (black dude couldn't catch his name) told her she needed to just wear them "and get used to them" he then took her old glasses away and told her "you can't have these" Next day she still can't see, has horrendous headaches, we called and they asked us to pop down.... All ok so far. We get there and I asked where her old glasses were as she can't have no glasses. "We don't take old glasses" I told them they most definitely did. Same member of staff who fitted her glasses then interrupts my conversation to say he didn't take her old glasses. I explain he did. "You weren't there so you need to stop talking" My husband then interjected and told him he was there and that's what happened. He loudly called us liars. I asked them to check the cctv and lo and behold, we were right and Mr arrogant attitude was the liar. They sorted her glasses and gave her a free pair but I have NEVER been spoken to with such a huge level of disrespect. What's worse is that upon telling other people about this 3 other people have stopped going here because of this one man! Maybe retrain him or don't let him near the public. Under no circumstances is it ok to tell a customer they are lying and it's beyond the pale to tell them to stop talking. Man's an imbecile and I certainly will never be back nor will any of my family! As for his forced apology before we left "Sorry you remember things wrong" isn't really a sorry. He can stick it right up his behind if there's room... his head so far up there already.

I was a little worried that I would get stuck with trendy 'hipster' glasses this time - huge ones that wouldn't suit me, but I was able to find two pairs I liked that were a good match (one is of the slightly larger framed variety, thus both on-trend and they don't look daft on me - win!). They are very careful about checking time and time again that your new specs are comfortable and sit correctly on your ears and nose. They also offer lots of useful advice so that you can get specs which are as comfortable and aesthetically-pleasing as you'd like. The opticians are very good at explaining to you what they check for, the health of your eyes, and what has changed about your prescription. The other staff are very good at advising, and helping you decide between frames. Overall, does what an optician should do.

i have never had any problems at this opticians and have been a customer here for about 10 years…read more during this time it has been the same guy that has done my sight tests every time. they have a great selection of frames and are all very reasonably priced without any hidden extra costs. they are reliable, and the glasses are always ready when they say they'll be ready. the staff are nice and helpful, and they will help you pick a frame that suits you, not just sell you anything. they will send you a reminder card when you are due to go back for a check up too. i have also found them to be cheaper than many other opticians for their contact lenses and solutions.

I popped by, registered, made an appointment for a couple of days' time, and that was that. All super easy. When my appointment came, I was seen by optician Alan, who's very friendly, and put me at ease. He answered a couple of questions I had about why I have a tendency to close one eye, and gave me a few exercises to try at home. After the test, I was handed over to one of the women front of house who very patiently helped me sift through lots of very similar looking frames til I found 'the ones'. She explained the prices available, and I set up a monthly subscription that covers various costs and gives me a pretty heft discount on frames (sweet). I've also been in for new contact lenses, which I was dismayed to realise won't be a perfect fit in my right eye due to my excessively wonkily astigmatic eyes, but they're doing the best they can. Hurray! All in all, I've been pleased with the service I've received from 20 20. They're not the cheapest opticians by any stretch of the imagination, but they are friendly and I do now own a very swanky pair of purple specs so overall I'm pretty pleased!

The staff was extremely nice and after a quick look assured me they could fix the glasses and to take a 15 minute wander about and they would be ready when I got back. All relevant paperwork was filled in and when I did need glasses I was given plenty of time to look at the frames and try those I picked out on. Even for those on benefits the staff do their best to pick out fashionable frames, helping to hide the fact that they are much cheaper than the others. Glasses are ready within days of being ordered. The shop itself is fairly small though it is well lit. They also carry a great variety of frames.

My eye exam, which I didnt pay for due to it being covered by the NHS, was top notch. I have had several problems with my contact lenses that others could not solve and Mr Wallace took the time to get it right and was very knowledgable and able to sort things out for me where others had not. The contacts and glasses that were carried were all obviously high quality, but were very well priced. The staff were knowledgable about what was best for me and did not offer me the most expensive thing, but the thing that would best suit my needs. I got a lovely pair of glasses that I can see very well out. They are very stylish and all my firends have commented on how nice they are. They were very up front with me about everything (cost etc) and the way the various contact lense packages worked was made very clear. They were all actually very good value and included all my solutions at a very good price. All the terms were explained up front and I do not believe for a second that had I finished my fittings and then PAID for my fitting session that they would have withheld my contact lens prescription from me. That previous commentor does not ring true at all. The interior of the place and waiting area was lovely and warm and open. The staff was all friendly and professional and the testing room was one of the nicest I have been in and they had very up to date machines etc. I really had a great experience and really feel I got great value for my money. We were vacationing from the states and my daughter's glasses' nose pads had decided to go…read moreelsewhere...she was beside herself because her glasses would be pretty painful to wear with wires poking one on either side of one's nose...and the little-bitty-partial bandaid worked, but it was not such a great solution. I looked on maps for opticians and here is where we came. We lucked out, the optical experts here were so helpful and cheerfully told us that they could definitely replace the little tiny pads! They replaced them so quickly and told us we should replace them when they get discolored. I asked how much we owed them, but the gentleman helping us said that there was no charge! I think we were floored! He said because they sell this brand, there was no charge. This is a heavenly country for sure!! Btw, the frame selection is very on point, so do yourself a favor and stop by.
