We were a large group 12 adults w/ 5 kids.. another table was of similar size and the 3rd and 4th group were tables of 4.... didn't see others in restaurant at the time The GOOD... Management willing to be flexible and acknowledge short comings.. "see the bad" nothing that cant be fixed.. floor staff need to be better trained to deal with large bookings, hangry (hungry n angry) patrons and kitchen better prepared The BAD... it is an ALL YOU CAN EAT with a 90min time limit.. and a food wastage charge of $5 / 100gram... this is fine but.... if kitchen is not prepared and the first complete order is not even served after 50min has passed! There is obvious room for improvement. the psyche of an all you can eat patron is... he is on the clock!!! "I'm going to this place to eat as much as I can!!!" With the expectation that he'll be booted out if he doesnt finish in time.. there is also the expectation that he gets what he wants and fast!! the all you can eat patron cannot wait n wait n wait... and that is exactly what happened! No food for 30min and even then what ever was brought out was gone in 3min due to our large group. with no sustainence in stomach that then feeds the brain??? The "hangry" orders more and more. There is something seriously wrong here!! why is there still no food??? the dribs n drabs that is served - gone.. After an hour and 10 minutes have past.. there was only 20min left before times up! So the hangry got even more hangrier!! ... worse still NOT FULL??? O M G! Repeat of Ishin in Forest Hill... The YUMMY At an all you can eat, there is expectation of quality and if there are small short comings it can be forgiven but none of that here! The sashimi cuts were of high quality!!! Thick and fresh. No skimping eg at Ishin! The rolls were ok as expected from an all you can Japanese places though they load it with dense rice. So avoid repeated orders for rolls.

The Tempura bento is great, with veggies and seafood tempura, miso soup, sushi & sashimi, rice salad and a small starter it's bento heaven. I went to Hibachi for lunch after seeing its 5 stars on Yelp. And what a disappointment it was!…read more I'm vegetarian, and restaurants can usually cater to me pretty easily. But not at Hibachi: the waitress repeatedly asked me if I was allergic to sea food. No I'm not, but being vegetarian should be reason enough not to put fish in my dish! The chef couldn't whip up something without fish stock in it, making me question how fresh things really are there... I ended up having a vegetarian roll, which was quite good but cost me 18$! My friend had a bento menu and was not that amazed by the flavours, although I have to admit there was a lot of food on the tray. One place I'm sure I won't go back to!

I've often found myself waving for attention, desperate to order after being forgotten by the waitresses for 10-15 minutes at a time. Even though I order the same thing every time (chicken box) my order's been messed up too many times to count, and the staff are prone to arguing over an order instead of just admitting their mistakes. I'm fairly chilled out and lenient on waitstaff, but I have no tolerance for situations where they make me feel stupid and embarrassed for no reason other than saving their own hides. The food is still good, and lunch can be a good deal - dinner is very overpriced, though. Some days are better than others.

The food is good, but this didn't even touch anywhere near my favourite Japanese restaurants. It's a good size place - plenty of tables for two and plenty for bigger groups. It can get noisy, but not to the point where you can't hear yourself think. The staff were friendly and attentive even if they did often linger and collect items one by one all throughout the evening off the table (even before dessert came, one guy was taking away the menu placemats, and when I had my elbows on it while looking at my phone, I felt him trying to rip it out from under me. Quite rude). I did feel the service/meal was quite rushed, and so if you're looking for a long night out at a restaurant with friends, it's definitely not that. The menu has a little bit of everything you know, and a few more unique things. We didn't order the tempura eggplant, yet the presentation was superb when we saw it arrive at other tables. Everything we ordered came out looking good. We shared their version of Chicken Karaage, and a really nice tuna sashimi taco. I ordered some tuna/salmon sushi rolls, and tried their Chicken Katsu Don. Everything was quite nice, but nothing especially so good that I'd rush right back. The restaurant itself is clean and modern looking and they had good music and there was a lovely atmosphere. Pricing is a little on the higher side and parking is a little on the frustrating side. Overall, I would come back again at some stage, but perhaps when they have a menu change and I'll know to come if you want just a nice, quick dinner.

They were exceptionally accommodating tonight, as they were solidly booked (which tells you how good they are) yet they found a way to squeeze us in if we went a little early, which was no problem at all. The food is as beautiful as the decor and the service was top notch. I had the Pan Fried Curried Beef Dumplings and the Sweet and Sour Chicken in Batter which were both SO incredibly delicious. Everyone else at the table loved their meal too and we will definitely come back. It can get a little loud, but again, good service, good food and it was a really nice dining experience. I highly recommend it.

DO NOT DINE HERE!!!…read more My family and I have been ordering takeaway from Chois for years. This was our first time dining in. Our booking was confused with another large group and we were placed in the private dining room. The manager Amy began to ABUSE my mother about conversations that occurred over the phone with the other group. My mother was accused of hanging up the phone and disregarding emails. Amy the manager then realised that she had confused us for another group and did not apologise or explain her lack of professionalism. Amy instructed us to move to the main dining room where the rest of the dining staff greeted us with animosity. The food service was fine and we managed to salvage the rest of our evening. The bill arrived and we were charged $39 for WATER($13 per bottle). We specifically requested tap water and the waiters accused us of requesting still. We tried to reason with them but they treated us with the same rudeness that they displayed at the start of our evening. The food was unbelievable expensive and they charged us a $25 fee for brining our own birthday cake. After the water debacle our night was completely ruined. We went there for a birthday celebration and had the most memorable night of our lives FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS.
