We reached out to several vendors in the area for an install in our back yard, and everyone was backed up for several months and we were getting discouraged that we wouldn't get it done this summer. I noticed a SYNLawn truck in our neighborhood one day, and I hadn't heard of the company before so I took their phone number and reached out to them that week. Within two days, they sent a tech out to visit with several samples and had a quote in my hands. I was told that the team could be out in the next couple weeks to complete the install. Wow! Everything from the tech visit to the install was smooth. I can't believe how great the yard looks. The install crew knocked out our yard in a single day. I really couldn't believe it. We started with an uneven, swampy mess, and ended with a perfectly graded yard that drains like a dream. I've tested the yard multiple times already after heavy rainfall and it's dry. My kids can play in our yard. care free for the first time we've owned our house. The best part is the lifetime warranty on the product (virtually every other company would only offer 10-15 years at most, and that's on the install and not the product Itself). SYNLawn did a great job on our front yard in San Diego a couple of years ago so we didn't hesitate to get in touch when we decided to get turf in our back yard in Seattle. The main reason we decided to do it was to make our yard more practical for our kids to play. We don't get much sunlight due to constant shade from massive overhanging trees, so grass didn't grow nicely and it was just dirt, mud and patchy grass. Our backyard was a constant weed pit no matter what we did. We decided to completely redo it and to try turf. SYNLawn's products are sold at Lowe's, which gave us more confidence than other companies we found online. They came out to give a quote just a few days after our initial contact. It took several weeks to get it installed due to COVID-related slow downs, but once they were here the whole job was done in a day and a half. The turf is great quality and even more comfortable than real grass. The installation was very well done with the gravel being extensively compacted, and the turf wrapped around the edgings to prevent fraying or pulling up. Our dog and baby both love it, and we have already spent more time in our yard over the last week than we have in the last 2 years combined. Highly recommend! I worked with Lou who was great in helping decide which turf would fit my needs. the raccoons and crows digging for grubs had turned our once thriving lawn into a barren muddy wasteland. I have always preferred real grass but came to the conclusion with more drought issues, cost of water in seattle where our drinking water is the same for watering lawns, maintenance, mowing, seeding that it just wasn't worth it. I found a couple vendors to compare prices and they were very close to the same. The rep for synlawn was an army veteran and was quick in his visit using lasers and mapping the yard. I had the quote the same day, asked to move forward on a Friday and the crew was here on a Monday and completed by Wednesday (weather delayed work Tuesday or it would've been done in 48 hours). It is so much more aesthetically pleasing to look at, my young kids are thrilled to have a lawn to play on and can't wait for summer to have a poop and sprinkles out. The lawn is only a few days old so I can't speak to longevity or maintenance but they did provide a nice 10 page manual on taking care of the lawn, dealing with spills, and the warranty. read more
