Always choose quality over quantity - yea I am saying it from experience. As a person who has wasted his money in more than one coding camp, I can personally tell you that wasting your time at places that may offer you some free extra classes and have lower fee is not worth it. There is no shortcut to success, no you can't learn how to code let alone a whole new programming language magically in just two months - no matter how good you think you are! Coding is a very fast paced world and people sometimes try for years to build a successful career in this field bcoz it takes time to understand what your niche could be and how willing you are to master the same. The funda is simple - you get exactly what you put into it! So don't fall for those free sessions, low fee structure coz they aren't giving quality and probably get zero placements done too! SynergisticIT was the place I enrolled into after being duped the first two times. So I left the first place midway because their curriculum was so outdated and the teachers were always taking classes unprepared. Nobody would clear our doubts and they hardly paid attention to our submitted assignments. The second place wasn't structured at all. There was no fixed schedule and they used to take classes or give assignments whenever they felt like. Due to uncertainty, not me but many of my batch mates dropped out too. With SynergisticIT the schedule, curriculum and faculty was never a problem. Yes you do need to pay a part of your fee upfront (but the rest can be paid when you find a job, which in itself says that they would get you a placement) but that's because they invest in every student, teach them, train them to be the best programmer. So they can't do that without money, in fact nobody can coz we all need money to sustain! Just one thing I did not like much was I never got a chance to meet my batch mates in person because it is an online camp, the other two places had this advantage. I am fresh ms student originally from Andhra and from out of Louisiana. I was called by a recruiter from Synergistic and i was not sure but after doing my research and a couple of calls i decided and moved to their guest house on the october 2010.They had a 2 bed 2 bath guest house where couple of more students were staying also had a female candidate guest house too.they provided basic stuff like groceries etc. I was not expecting much i was here to get a job. It was like a mile away from the office. Here is my opinion they are good, give attention and have small batches. They handpick students so the students you have is of similar capability.Training is free they do charge something like a deposit which they refunded to me in my first paycheck.Marketing is aggressive and all students in my batch leaving those who don't attend classes were placed. Good interview preperation and mock interviews. We actually did practicals and wrote code rather than just theoretical. . I have had no complaints till now. join them if you want to get project in java anything related to web java, .net, etc they are good in marketing and placing, I got a job in my fifth interview and then they cancelled couple of other interviews which I had been lined up for. ONe thing I want to point out if you miss out on classses assignements and later on they find out that you did that they would not market you and ask you to take classes again. SynergisticIT is a great coding bootcamp. The upfront cost can be daunting, but the training you receive is very good. If you're completely new to programming you might find the course a little difficult to adjust to as it is a LOT of knowledge to take in all at once. If you have prior coding experience, it might seem a little slow at times. The biggest perk that SynergisticIT offers is their ability to market you. In the current tech market, marketing yourself is very difficult. They have teams with inside knowledge dedicated to marketing your skillset. They guarantee a minimum W2 salary of $75k (which may have been updated since the time of this writing,) but many of their candidates secure positions offering quite a bit more. The biggest con behind SynergisticIT was the total time spent training. If you're working at the same time while training with SynergisticIT, it can quite difficult to manage your time. They can be somewhat flexible with your lesson times and they record a lot of the lessons so you can catch up on your own time, but it is essentially a second job with the amount of time you'll have to commit to it. I think they mentioned the training should take 4-6 months, but you can probably expect it to a few extra months. The interview process is naturally dependent on where you live, your willingness to relocate, and what the tech market is like currently. I went here for java training and placement. They said it will take 4-6 weeks for the training and I was Ok with it But it actually took 8 weeks for me. i was not happy about it, but in the later stage i realized that my extra 2 weeks mattered a lot. They will not market you if you are not ready. They are very strict about it. After my 6th week of training I would go and ask them to start my marketing , but they said I was not ready yet. The trainings are very knowledgeable and they spend even 3 or 4hours with you till you are confident with the subject. I would definitely recommend them for Java. And their payment is also on time. I had a wonderful experience working with them.I was like a roller coaster for me, but it was the best decision I could have ever made for my own self and I feel that it was a great value.The trainers are just wonderful and take a personal interest in clarifying all the doubts you have and make sure that you are clear with the concepts.
