My company has been using PDS for desktop and laptop PC needs for 2 or 3 years now. I have never…read morehad a problem of any sort with PDS - it's absolutely incredible. We have about 30,000 employees and PDS has never had trouble keeping up or keeping in touch. PDS would unbox and image desktops/laptops for us, so you'd get a "rack-n-roll" cart with a dozen devices ready to be dropped in place and fired up. Simple. Let's say a hard drive failed on a laptop: I toss PDS an email saying "serial ABC123 needs a new hard drive" and the part is on my desk the next day. Crazy fast. Let's say a laptop display cracks: I toss PDS an email and they order the part. As soon as the display arrives, an experienced and friendly technician calls to say he's on his way to install it. Recycling old parts? No problem, just have PDS leave you a couple of their bins and they'll handle it. I do not work for PDS, but my large company is moving to another vendor and my team will miss the quality of service we had with PDS. I could go on and on. Imagine the very best service and communication possible - that's PDS.

Delayed this decision for weeks, trying to find out if this company on the up and up. What I have experienced as ordering parent- 1) No student discount, just platinum level list pricing. Pricing seems uncompetitive even for higher end graphics laptop. And do not actually get microsoft office, just office 365 in the cloud through the school. 2) REQUIRES you to use a credit card, then charges a REQUIRED convenience fee. If no alternate method of payment is offered, then such fee is illegal for a vendor in my state. Assume it must be different in Wisconsin. Should be illegal. 3) Sales tax estimate seems off. 4) Long customer unfriendly terms of sales agreement. 5) Charges for shipping when being shipped by third party. From third parties that frequently ship free. Seriously. Over $2k and have to pay shipping, also no shipping options offered. I'd give this ordering experience one star, but taking on faith the university will make them live up to the extended special warranty. And that buying this way really is necessary to guarantee curriculum software compatibility and on site service at school. But is has a bogus feel about it all.
