We lived here for six years and loved every minute. Always felt safe and secure; always felt taken care of, almost like family! The leasing office and management staff? Consistently responsive to our questions and concerns. We made the park on the north side of the complex our home; had many walks through the pecan and oak trees. We never had an issue with security; and we could enter the complex at any hour of the night. Our apartment had a beautiful view overlooking the park, and we watched the seasons change over the years. Location is perfect. One mile from the state capitol, less than a mile from historic east Austin. 1 35, 290, and 183 all close by. All in all Mueller is the best. read more

I submitted two work orders, one about 3 months ago and another about a month ago. They haven't fixed either and they stopped responding to my emails and text messages about this. They literally fix nothing and we pay a lot of money to live here. Wish I would have known this before moving in, I would have found a different place. read more

Edit (October 2024): There is a major rat infestation here. It started from the trash room by the garage entrance but has quickly spread to all areas of the apartment complex including inside some of the apartments on the top floors. Not recommended - Management not good not ready to listen. Don't rent this apartment. I left this apartment one week before and around $800 deducted from my security deposit which a hell lot of money. The reason given to us by Casey because of carpet replacement. We already mentioned in initial form that carpet is dirty, now Casey has send us backside carpet pictures with stains which no one can see. Apartments are not getting maintained well, ants cockroach rats can be seen everywhere in the apartment and garage. The garage and first floor and sometimes whole apartment stinks so much most of the time but we never complained for those issues. Condition of apartment is not well maintained. Daily one or the another things keep on breaking and even makntaince team says management don't provide good quality material so they also cannot do much. It's been only one week we left the apartment and we are still hoping if management can return our hard earned money around $800 back to us. I would've given a favorable review of sync until this morning - the fire alarm was blaring straight from 2:30 until 4:15 am. There is no excuse for allowing the fire alarm to go off (when there's no fire) for so long in the middle of the night. Thankfully, I live on my own but I can't begin to imagine for folks with young kids or pets. This is completely unacceptable to be charging us what they do and keep us up all night with deafening alarms. read more

Be Aware! We signed for a 2-bed almost 3 months ago and moved in on Saturday September 10, 2022. We called Sync a day before we moved in and asked to make sure the apartment was cleaned and ready to move in and the response was "It has been cleaned and ready to move in". We on Saturday September 10, 2022 and the entire family was in huge shock. The condition of the apartment was way beyond our imagination and worst than we have ever seen an apartment in our entire life. We went to the office, showed photos to the girl but, instead of apologizing, she kept telling us how good the management staff is. When I said that I will post these photos online and ask other people if these photos indicate good management; she requested us to give her another opportunity before posting these photos. We did not stay in the apartment due to its filthy condition, she said she would talk to management about hotel reimbursement and would have all fixed on Monday September 12. On Monday September 12, we received 2 emails from Sync stating all work orders were completed; we went back to the apartment and it looked awful. We will report this to Austin Tenant Council and see if we have an option to break this lease due to its condition. read more

Great location - but building is not well taken care of. The garage is CONSTANTLY being stolen from and building has taken no action to prevent or correct. I've given up on trying to keep my bike in their "bike storage" because my tires and accessories like lights have been stolen multiple times. Catalytic converters stolen very frequently too. This could be mediated by the building upgrading their gate system (it's sooooo outdated, slow, and always breaking). Stairwells, hallways, and service elevator are regularly in gross condition with trash or dog pee and not cleaned frequently enough. We've also had consistent water pressure issues that the building blames on the city, but the city says must be the buildings fault. Little to no communication is made from the building on the progress of this issue. We've given up entirely on using our main shower because the water pressure is so low that we can't wash ourselves in it, so we're forced to use only the guest bath. Our kitchen sink water pressure is also noticeably terrible. read more

Don't ever expect to get any of you supposed 'refundable' deposit back. It won't happen. This place was definitely built on the cheap. The noise between units is as if there is no floor between apartments. The floors are wonky, too. I felt every step my husband took on the floors without hearing him walk. I could hear the construction noise a block away as if it was next door -- the windows were wonky & didn't close properly. The sliding screen door never did close properly. The vertical blinds were broken when we moved in. Their supposed automated entry & climate control never worked in the 18+ months we lived there. The hot water pressure is a joke -- & we lived on the second floor. Apparently it got worse on higher floors. I tried to get them to address the issue but got nowhere. The dishwasher couldn't clean a dish -- most likely because of the lack of water pressure. The hot & cold water hoses on the washer were reversed when we moved it -- they did fix that. In short, the place shows well, but lives lousy. Pass this one by & look for a better apartment. The Mueller neighborhood is a great place to live, but Sync apartments aren't. read more

I lived here for about 1.5 years and wanted to give my honest opinion! I lived on the 3rd floor in a C2 two bedroom. Location: 5/5 The location of SYNC is amazing. You're very close to downtown where it's not inconvenient to go to and from or call a quick uber. SYNC is right next to Mueller lake which is great for walking around or having picnics. There's also lots of fun shops and restaurants walking distance like BD Riley's Irish pub. There's also a very convenient convenience store across the street that is open late if you need a quick snack or necessity. I loved the location so much that I made sure I stayed in the area when I moved out. Apartment: 3/5 This is one of the setbacks to be honest. The apartment itself is nice. It's very modern with hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining areas and the bedrooms are carpeted. Most of the apartments are outfitted with smart lights and AC so you can control them with your phone or Alexa. They also got Google Fiber installed so you'll have the fastest internet ever. The biggest drawback to the apartment is just how thin the walls are. They are very very thin and not well insulated. Since I was on the third floor, I have a family living above me and I could hear everything besides them talking. You will hear EVERY footstep. I'm not exaggerating. If they walk around a lot, the chains on your ceiling fan will shake like an earthquake is happening. You will hear their phone vibrate on a table. You will hear their TV if it's loud enough. You will hear them open and close the sliding door to a patio. It's not SYNC's fault, but it's definitely a fault to the builder of this complex. If you have immediate neighbors, you will hear them enter and leave their units. There's also lots of dogs in the complex and it's very likely barking battles will start where one dog will start to bark which will trigger another to begin barking. All of this can easily be heard from a completely closed apartment. Amenities: 5/5 The amenities are what you'd expect. The gym is outfitted with everything you need -- dumbbells, smith machine, cable machine, treadmills, etc. Everything is very clean and well maintained. There's also a pool table and shuffle board. I never went into the pool or hot tub but it looks nice whenever I walked past it. Community: 4/5 The community has been nice. People will smile and wave if you pass them. I had zero issues about every worrying about any packages being stolen if they were left at my front door. The only thing that bugged me was that there are a lot of aggressive drivers in the community. I almost got into a ton of car accidents in the parking garage because people speed and flew around the blind corners. People will usually tailgate you if you're not going fast enough in the garage too. People don't seem to be courteous where they will wait for you to pass or make your life easier. I honestly hated driving in the garage and it always worried me. I never had any issues break-ins myself but during my time here I did get about 3 emails regarding a reported car break-in somewhere. Employees/Leasing: 5/5 The staff at SYNC is great. They always responded to my questions and concerns right away. The maintenance system is quick and easy to request. They are very very good at sending out emails and keeping everyone in the loop for when something happens. Example, when the winter storm happened in Feb 2021, they were very transparent about the water issues and the progress being made. Overall, SYNC is a good apartment complex. If you don't mind the noises you'll hear from upstairs neighbors (or get lucky and live on the top floor) or dogs barking and don't mind the aggressive drivers in the parking garage then this is definitely a great spot to live. The location is amazing and it's definitely a comfortable and safe place to live. read more

We moved here in December of 2019. Our bicycles were stolen in February from the "secure" garage location where we were told to store them. This was surprising because we specifically asked about security when we were looking at the complex as a place to live. We reported this to the office as well as the police. We asked about security cameras only to find out the parking garage had none, despite the fact that (we found out too late) other bicycles had been stolen from the garage. Today we discovered that our motorcycle which was parked on the third floor of the garage was stolen overnight. This is devastating to us. How can the security measures at this complex be so lax??? AVOID THIS PLACE! It is a dump. Nothing gets taken care of around the property. There is one grill that hasn't worked in 2 years! Packages get stolen all of the time, because there are doors into the building that haven't been fixed in months. Your rent will increase significantly every year, and nothing will change. Staff is unreliable and inconsistent at best. Half a dozen times now I have left work early to get there before 6 PM--everyone leaves the office 15 minutes 'til. Gym is disgusting and literally falling apart. Hall ways are stained, dirty, and usually have an odd odor. There's more people living in specific units than there is rooms (I.e. noticed 4 people living in a 2 bedroom). Garage is crowded because guests are allowed to park wherever/store their vehicles. Although management tries to remedy situation, dogs still use halls and amenities as restrooms; even saw 2 dogs using the treadmill in the gym and 1 aggressively protecting the conference room. Most likely will not re-sign my lease since this place is falling apart, lease rates are going up, and service is sub-par. read more

I want to begin by saying that I have had some positive experiences living at Sync. My toddler and I love the area, which is very kid-friendly, and the amenities and general condition of the apartment interiors are great. Overall, I have found management to be responsive and willing to discuss issues as they arise. That said, for the past year, I have dealt with repeated noise complaints from my downstairs neighbors. My child and I are not up during quiet hours, and thus, the couple of complaints about late night noise cannot be from us; it would be impossible. The daytime noise complaints likely stemmed in the past from my child playing with his toys on the wood floors or not treading lightly on the floor. When I first moved in, my son was still crawling, and the neighbor below us complained. I can only figure that the noise she heard was due to the crawling or toys on the floor because I was not, as she claimed, doing aerobics or anything out of ordinary living. The courtesy officer himself came when one noise complaint occurred and observed that the noise could only be stemming from children playing (when my son had a play date with another toddler). Eventually, that neighbor started coming at my door to aggressively complain at me about the noise, and that made me extremely uncomfortable. While I can understand the annoyance of hearing something loud coming from above you throughout the day, I have found as the person on the other end of the complaints that the thin flooring is disruptive to my everyday living as well. I wish that the management were more honest with the residents who make complaints about the common sound problem. I've noted 17 other reviews about Sync (aside from the ones already on YELP) that mention the thin flooring or lack of sound proofing. More than one resident mentions on the Modern Message reviews being able to hear every footstep of the person above them. I am sure given what my situation has been that is likely the case. I have never written an apartment review before and have been apartment living for a decade, but due to the experience I've had here with unwarranted noise complaints and the burden I feel that has placed on me to change my ordinary living (I've felt the need to purchase a $400 full room rug so that my son can freely play with normal toddler toys), I wanted other people with children to know about my experience so that they can make an informed decision before moving in here. If you don't want to receive frequent noise complaints for ordinary living and you want to move here (for like I said at the beginning of this review other than the noise issues I have had a positive experience), you might consider putting rugs down when you move in or choosing a first floor apartment. Moving is a financial burden, and I would hate to move my son out of an area of the city he loves and that has a lot to offer for young children (the park, the Thinkery, some good restaurants, slides by the food trailer, a petting zoo at the farmer's market, etc). The complex is also very safe and secure, and as a parent, I am very appreciative of that. I also understand that the noise situation is not the fault of the current managerial staff. I have found Viviana to be kind and responsive; the courtesy officer, Oscar, is also very kind. Nevertheless, I think that the problem with the flooring between levels in the building should be better addressed, especially considering that the issue I am describing here has been mentioned by several residents across the reviews of the complex over the past few years. I should add that despite the fact that I have truthfully said multiple times that my son and I are sleeping during the times the resident beneath me says she has heard a loud noise the apartment staff has not chosen to investigate another possible source of the sound or said they would consider doing so. When noises come from the people who live to the right of me (I know it's them because I can also hear their conversations sometimes through my bedroom wall, which is a testament to the poor sound proofing in the building as a whole), I perceive the source of the sound as coming from above me. I know it cannot coming from above because there is nothing above me; I live on the top floor. It would behoove the complex to investigate another possible source of loud noise given that two different residents below me have complained about it, and the noise in the nighttime cannot possibly be from me or my son. We are asleep during the apartment quiet hours. So, if I have a criticism of the management, it is that there are more responsible ways of resolving noise complaints, more proactive ones, instead of taking an irresponsible and frankly distrustful approach of assuming in all cases that the source of the noise comes from a particular location when there has not been any proof given in my situation of noise coming from my apartment. read more

We've lived at Sync (formerly Elysian) for over a year now and have really enjoyed living here. Since I relied heavily on Yelp reviews to help make my decision to move here, I want to return the favor and give a lot of details for anyone considering the move. Overall, it's a great place to be. Pros: - The building staff - Ashley, Viviana, and Kara in the front office are all helpful and friendly, and I have never lived in a building with faster maintenance staff (the longest it's ever taken to fill a request for a minor item was 2 days, but several times they've gotten to us within a few hours. I come from NYC where I would routinely wait weeks or even months). - The apartments are spacious, well-maintained, and reasonably priced; the appliances (washing machine, stove, microwave, etc.) are all high-quality. I absolutely love the kitchen. - We've also made frequent use of the amenities, like the gym and business center. - Very clean - I've never seen a cockroach and only occasionally see silverfish. We had a few bees take up residence on our porch and the maintenance staff took care of it immediately. - Mail systems - we have locked mailboxes, package lockers, and sometimes the front desk will take them too. We've never had issues with missing mail. - Parking - there's a gated garage, no assigned parking (unless you want to rent a space), and ample spaces. - The location! This was the real draw for us, as you're very close to the gorgeous Mueller Lake Park. There is also the Sunday/Wednesday farmers' markets, Alamo Drafthouse, and ample food opportunities in the area, plus a bus stop to UT right around the corner. - The other residents - the community is pretty mixed demographically, with UT students, young professionals, families with little kids, retirees, and everything in between. Cons: - Thin walls - The only big one is that the walls/ceilings are a little thin and I'm a light sleeper. Our upstairs neighbor is a loud walker and has woken me up in the middle of the night; if any of our neighbors (left/right/above) have a television and have it mounted to the other side of our wall or likes to listen to it loud, we'll hear it. Luckily, all three of our neighbors have been very respectful, and it's not an everyday problem. We bought a white noise machine ($50) which is enough to block out most things and ensure a good night's sleep. - Other reviews have mentioned noise at the pool - we live on the pool courtyard, and while it might be a challenge if you work night shifts and need to sleep during the day, residents and the building staff are very good at enforcing quiet hours; it's never been an issue for us. - The pool courtyard can be pretty bright at night (the clubhouse lights stay on 24/7, as do the lights in their demo apartment). We bought blackout curtains and haven't looked back. - (Minor) We found tiny carpet nails along some the corners of the bedroom after I stepped on one. We put masking tape over the edges near the doors as a reminder not to step there, and no problems since; if you have a smaller child, ask the maintenance team to take care of it. Overall, a very good apartment experience, and a massive upgrade from my NYC apartments. read more

This used to be a great place to live, but after a recent string of burglaries and failure to react by management, its really gone down the tubes. When brought to their attention, I was told it is extremely rare to find an apartment complex with security cameras throughout. More on security, the building requires fob access, but this can be easily bypassed by wedging a credit card in the space where the lock meets the doorframe. It's clear to see how and why the aforementioned burglary occurred. For the price point and amenities, do yourself a service and look elsewhere in the Mueller neighborhood. SYNC's leasing requirements are evidently lax because it seems just anyone can live here. The hallways are almost always noisy after "quiet hours," with people drifting about. Speaking of, the hallway carpet is riddled in stains and often smells of marijuana. The gym equipment doesn't function as expected and the "resort-style pool" is ice cold and often filmy and filled with leaves. There's been unexplained caution tape around the grill area for the last several months, which is not much of an inconvenience because the grills almost always never work. You would think with all the fees assessed they would at least stay stocked on propane. What gives! The office staff seems friendly and unassuming, but they actually trash talk residents via email. Great neighborhood, ruined by bad property management. Kudos to maintenance. While rude, they've consistently addressed issues in my unit by EOD the following business day. read more

We have been here for over 9 months now. Our parents came and visited us too. We absolutely love this place. The running trails and the mueller park is amazing. Sunday farmers market is a block away. Maintainance is timely and the staff at the office is helpful. Only issue off late is - fire alarm is going off for no good reason! This has happened a number times - twice in the middle of the night! Hope they sort this out soon - I like my sleep too much. :) read more

Mueller itself is a wonderful place to live, unfortunately Sync @ Mueller is not a safe, secure option. This weekend, several cars were broken into and damaged. All we got from Sync was an email letting us know there is nothing they can do about it and our safety is our responsibility. Well, the gate has been broken for 2 weeks and the cameras in the parking garage do not work. My car got broken into INSIDE the parking garage and there is no evidence of who did it because there are no cameras. Guess where there are working cameras..... IN THE CLUBHOUSE. Of course there are cameras where Sync leaves their property. I would hope they would learn something from this but by reading reviews from months ago, I see they have learned nothing. We pay a lot of money to live at Sync. How about they use some of that for security. If they are unwilling to install cameras, then they should have security driving around at night. They are literally taking no steps to protect us or our belongings. read more

Lived here from June 2016-June 2017. Had to post because to help out people looking for apts. Honestly had a great experience here. No complains. Lived here with my cousin to a 2bed/2bath and the space within the apt looks and feels great. - Parking (5/5): The building's a wrap around with several levels of concrete parking in the center with the rest of the building around it. There's a few reserved spots close to the doors which are super convenient but there's a good chance you'll always find a good spot. If you live on the first floor like I did you have quick access to free parking around the building. - Pets (5/5): Very pet friendly with treats at the leasing office, so many residents have pets, and pet waste bag stations all around the building to keep the lawn clean. There's a park literally across the street with a great long trail where you can walk your pets. - Location (5/5): I love Mueller and sad to leave the area. You're 10 min from DT off of I-35 and Airport but you feel like you live in a cool up-and-coming area for a nice mesh of young families, couples, young professionals, and with a few senior living projects being built a few blocks away it'll also bring in that mix. The HEB at Mueller is so great to go that I always complained that we got people whose nearest HEB is clearly not the one on Mueller but like it to so much that they're willing to drive over there. They just opened an Alamo Drafthouse a few blocks away which is seriously great and eventually there will be a big Town Center across Elysian with a plethora of different retail spots and whatnot. I'd buy a house in this area right now. - Pricing (5/5): For what you get at Elysian the prices are fair and entirely in line with the market. You might get a good special depending on the season. Me and my roommate got a really good move-in special back in June 2016 and when our lease is up market rates were higher but, doing what a good management company does, they did what they could to try to keep and respect us staying there that our renewal rate didn't go up as much as they could put it out on the market for. That says a lot about them and is very appreciated. - Amenities (4.5/5): They're great, the lap pool in the center is nice and soothing with the fountains. 2 grills who if I was nitpicking I'd say a few times the gas tanks were empty for a little while. Used the gym all the time and didn't feel the need to get a membership elsewhere because it has all the essentials you could need. Only complain, but this is the norm with every single apt complex, is that for safety reasons they don't have free standing barbells, so I had to buy one off of Craigslist and bring it in every morning if I wanted to do some free standing exercises as opposed to smith press. Clubhouse has a bunch of tvs, free coffee machine (which was occasionally out of coffee but maybe tenants are abusive of it), shuffleboard, pool table, great private business center and a great computer lounge. - Apartment Features (5/5): Nice and elegant finishes with nice brown cabinets, dark brown floors, nice kitchen back splash, great washer/dryer units, etc. The bathrooms were all nice & spacious as well as the closets. The apt had a great feel to it which made you want to be at home. - Privacy/Noise (5/5): No complains. We threw a couple of pregames and were never too loud so never got any complaints. People are respectful here. - Mail: They have Parcel pending which are lockers that are available 24/7 for you to receive Amazon shipments and what not. Takes time off the leasing agents to do their jobs and gives you the flexibility to pick up your packages at whatever time you can, something other apartments can't offer to you because they close their offices at 5 or whatever. Can't emphasize how convenient that is. - Maintenance (5/5): This might be the best thing about Elysian. We put in a handful of maintenance requests online for several reasons like: water filter needing replacement, glass accidentally dropped in the food disposal, fallen window blinds, toilet paper came loose,etc. They Always came in timely and effectively with no charges of any sort. They're truly attentive. -Staff (5/5): This really makes or breaks your impression and feeling about living in any apt complex. Staff is great. Viviana the Assistant Ppty Manager is cool and easy to talk to, Ashley the Ppty Manager was very professional, fair, and just pleasant to talk to about any questions we might have and walked us through move out procedures and whatnot. Great staff. There you have it. Bottom line is we loved living here and the only reason why we moved out is because we found a ridiculous, once in a lifetime deal somewhere else and were price sensitive apt residents. But their prices are extremely reasonable and if you're a resident they'll always prioritize you. No quips about living here, apply if this is an area of town you'd like living in. read more

We can't say enough good things about my apartment complex. It's an apartment complex so you have to expect dogs barking and babies crying at times but all that aside, it really is one of the better places to live. The leasing office is so kind and prompt in handling any concerns - big or small. They set up fun social events for residents and we actually show up and enjoy ourselves! I've not seen that in many complexes. We've really become a family and look out for our neighbors so kudos to Elysian!!!!! :) We hope to live here until we decide to buy a house again. read more

We lived here for a year -- if only the lease could've been terminated early without a massive charge. If you enjoy being up all night listening to your neighbors through paper thin walls this is the place for you. If you enjoy screaming kids in the courtyard unattended all day this is the place for you. If you enjoy evacuating the complex at all hours of the day and night for random fire alarms, this is the place for you. If you enjoy dog poo scattered everywhere including the halls indoors, this is the place for you. This place is apartment living at its worst. And beware of extra charges when you move out for damage you didn't do. Don't try to dispute them because talking to the office staff is akin to speaking to a very dense brick wall. First let me state clearly that this review is not written by a staff member as I have seen that done and they write heavily reviews. This review is written by a resident who has lived at Elysian in 2 different apartments for 1 and 10 months. Anyone is more than welcome to call the complex and ask if Cat lived here- they will know who I am since my name is unique. I will admit that in the first 6 months it was not great at all. In fact I was looking to break my lease and move as fast I could. This was due to the poor management team and horrible maintenance team. Even though the building was new it had several flaws such as the granite counter tops were not sealed- The kitchen sinks were not secure and on a few occasion falling into the cabinet. Just as I was ready to run away an amazing think happened. The building was purchased by an owner who traditionally only dealt in commercial properties. The first thing he did was get an amazing management and maintenance team on board and then rapidly fixed anything that should have been done prior to opening. The granite counters were sealed in each apartment, brought in several construction crews to properly install all the sinks in one day, spray washed the entire garage, painted new parking spaces, painted the hallways and a redid the common areas All of this was ONLY possible because the management team and the maintenance crew spent there first two weeks reviewing all past complaints, walking the property to find areas for improvement and spoke to the residents one on one to gather feedback. I'm not talking about pointless gathering of feedback they would listen and wither provide you with a date to solve your problem or provide a time they would get back to you if they had to some research. To date they have never not followed up as promised Example of customer service taken to whole new level: I travel a lot for work and one time forgot to pay my rent prior to heading out for a week. Viviana from the office called me on my cell to apologize that she had to put an eviction notice on the inside of my door. She new that I had always paid on time and that I had to travel a lot for work. Beyond that since they care about there residents they allowed me to pay my rent when I got home. Most places would have followed thorough with an eviction because no staff gets to know there residents like they do at Elysian. Ever time I walk in the office its " Hey Cat what can we do for you?" It's not just me they make a huge effort to get to know each resident. Repairs: THE BEST. The maintenance staff is highly skilled and have true certification's to be able to conduct repairs without having to call in an outside crew. This is vastly different than the handy man you find running maintenance departments at other apartments. I have never waited a day for a maintenance request to be filled. they also have helped with things that are not part of there job like the time I bought a rain shower head and was having a hard time changing it out. One call and they were at my door with tools and took care of it in a matter of 10 minutes. Who does that? The Elysian maintenance crew- that's who. The only reason I am moving is because I had the opportunity to rent a gorgeous condo near downtown at a very reasonable price. Had that opportunity not come my way I would be renewing my lease for the third time at Elysian. For those who want quick logistics: - I never hear my neighbors - Th apartment is pet friendly and they really enforces cleaning up after your dog - the office will sign and store packages if you don't want them left at your door. They e-mail you when a package arrives. - They have great community events. - Farmers market is two blocks away. - mosaic market is one block away and it's a convenient store with the best selection of wine I have ever seen. - Mueller Events on the green - like movie night or bands that play early are also on block away. - The new HEB is the best I've seen and is 10 minutes away. - Mueller district is growing and they are building some amazing things that would be awesome to walk to like you can from Elysian. read more

Place was pretty nice but now a family with two kids live above us, and the noise never stops. We hear running around all day, and very loud booms like someone is jumping up and down. Its so bad that the lights are shaking in their fixtures. This happens all day everyday, and we had someone from the office come up to listen and he agreed that it was really loud. We called again to follow up, and apparently the guy that came up said it wasn't that bad after all. Then basically told us they cant do anything about it, but would move us to a new apartment for a $300 fee, higher rent, and a new deposit. I have lived here for over a year, just signed a new lease pretty recently (before the noise started) and regretting it. read more

I would have given the property a much higher rating before it changed hands and was called Elements. Since it changed, almost all the staff has changed and the old staff was good, especially the old maintenance staff. The good news and maybe the only good news on the staff front is that the Manager is a holdover and she is very good. I found the rest of the staff not at all helpful. The other positive is that the apartment was quite nice, if a bit pricey. Plenty on the negative side. First, their resident portal is terrible. One cannot pay their rent before a certain date and the window is tight. Once I tried to pay my rent within that window and the site would not accept rents. It was a recognized problem, but one still had to pay by the 3rd or get a penalty. Another is the ancillary charges. There were literally 18 separate fees covering my last two months. Most of them were "admin" fees for water, sewer, trash, pest control and cable (that was in addition to mandatory $85 cable/internet charge). I understand the actual water bills; but trash, pest control and all the ancillary admin charges really do add up and should be reflected in the rent fees. Lastly, while the site is kept clean and tidy, I rarely found the gas grills in the common spaces functional. They were frequently out of propane or just would not work. read more
