My six-month experience living in the Linc has been a nightmare. I've tried reaching out to the…read moremanagement company multiple times, but nobody answers the phone or responds to my emails. The apartment has forced me to pay a termination fee, even though it's not my fault that I need to break the lease. The constant noise from my neighbors has been overwhelming. Loud music plays at 1:00 AM, heavy items drop on the floor around 3:00 AM, and there are persistent banging sounds and kids running around at all hours. It's impossible to get a good night's sleep on weekdays or even relax at home on weekends. I have reported this issue to the leasing office many times, but the problem persists. I called the courtesy officer as instructed, but no one responded. I've tried using silicone earplugs, which have already hurt my ears, and I've had to take several 10 mg melatonin tablets after being woken up by my upstairs neighbor. I've even paid extra to stay in hotels and Airbnb accommodations because of this situation. Additionally, there are plumbing and pipe issues in the unit. The leasing office sent a vendor who entered our home without notice, disrupted our belongings, and caused us additional utility costs for cleanup. I had to call the police to determine if this was considered theft. The same thing happened again last week when I entered the apartment to pick up my laundry and found a man in my bathroom. It scared me because there was no sign indicating he was a maintenance person; he wasn't wearing a uniform or carrying tools--just a regular T-shirt.. Furthermore, when I found a pregnant roach in my bathroom, I saw no evidence that pest control had been sent to our unit. Now we have to pay extra to move and leave early. The leasing manager initially assured us that we would have peace during our last 60 days, yet the courtesy officers did not respond, we're unable to sleep due to the loud noise from the unit above, and we've had to pay for a new place early just to escape these conditions. If not that, then the trash pick up will. Everything in this apartment is so cheaply made. The window glass is so thin - you can hear people just talk from the sidewalk. The video below is what every morning sounds like. Our windows are closed and we live on the third floor. The leaf blowers are there until 10am-11am. If you value your sleep just don't move here. This was never mentioned to us btw. I get it's normal once a week but 5-6 times for 2-3hrs is just outrageous and should be mentioned to the residents before signing the lease. Their amenities are about 100$. This includes their terrible internet - if you work from home you will need to pay extra to get internet that actually works. It also includes cable, and valet trash. The valet trash also doesn't pick up sometimes. Basically the amenities are mediocre at best. We pay about 2400$ for 1 bed + amenities, not including the extra $60 we pay for the internet. We pay for utilities in common areas on top of amenity and maintenance fees and they refuse to provide copies of utility bills/resident numbers to confirm accuracy. I repeat: we pay for and are refused proof of delivery of a service. Don't get much delivery on anything-get in late at night and key fob's not working? Hope it's not winter. Need something fixed? Hah. Amenities promised don't exist. No package room that delivery people can access. No coffee bar. No cyber Lounge. I've attached photos of these advertised on the website, date-stamped for today. Gym is not maintained. I've had 10% of my packages stolen, one of which was an $800 non-refundable item. There was a delivery photo but management said WC's camera wasn't working when it was stolen. There are no working cameras anywhere but the lobby to protect Windsor's interests. We pay for that. We also pay for gated parking and they just leave the gates open now because they never work. The halls are FILTHY. There's constantly dog poop and pee and loose trash everywhere. Once there was huge ball of human hair outside my door for an entire week. Another time there was gallon sized ziploc with orange grease inside it. I didn't pick either of these up until I had to because I had guests coming over. I wanted to see how many times trash valet would walk by and do nothing. There is currently a large piece of broken porcelain on the staircase of building one that's been there for over a week. The fire alarm goes off incessantly because people are constantly smoking. We get ceaseless emails about that, the dogs, and not driving out of the Franklin exit. They'd rather auto-spam their residents on a daily basis than put up a simple one-way barrier gate. It would be pennies to a huge company like Windsor. It'd cost less than a month of rent for one of the studios in this complex alone. These daily emails are tantamount to harassment. If an individual contacted me that frequently unsolicitedly and I couldn't block them- we can't b/c important communications come from the same email- I'd get a cyberstalking restraining order. Right before my move out Sonia took the time to help me locate a package that was placed in the wrong locker- they go above and beyond to answer emails back promptly- always warm, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I lived on 6th floor, very quiet with respectable neighbors who were considerate and never had any issues with noise or whatnot. The halls are kept clean I have never once seen any pests in my apartment nor in the hallways and common areas. Upgrades are continuously done to maintain the beauty of the property and at minimal inconvenience to residents. The property is beautifully maintained and leasing is very responsive with communication. I always felt safe coming home since I work so much and only at night and never felt like my community had questionable residents around doing anything shady. They organized a lot of community events and food trucks for residents to socialize which was nice even though I didn't make it to many. Amenities stayed clean and well maintained. I renewed my lease after the first year with zero hesitation. But things have changed dramatically. The new leasing team, particularly Caleb and Isaiah, has made my move-out experience deeply frustrating. I sent a written notice to vacate in April, well before my lease ended on June 3, yet I was hit with a surprise "Notice to Vacate" form assigning me a false move-out date of June 20 and charging me rent and month-to-month fees I never agreed to. Caleb sent me a handwritten PDF dated incorrectly (signed as 2029), ignored my lease's actual end date, and now insists that I owe prorated rent and additional fees all the way through June 30--despite my lease ending June 3 and the unit being cleaned and vacated on time. As if this wasn't enough, Building 1's elevator breaks constantly, and the office repeatedly sends inaccurate maintenance notices. They even sent two emails about the same holiday closure--one with the wrong date. The professionalism is gone. It's disappointing to see how far this property has fallen. I once viewed The Monroe as home. Now, I'm gathering documentation and speaking with legal counsel to contest these fees and protect my rights. Around 2:25pm I finally was able to get inside of the main building -- I saw the leasing office and one of the staff (the female with the blonde hair, who I feel is a racist; name JESSICA) exiting the office with two (Caucasian) males who appear to be . I introduced myself; showing JESSICA my credentials and access code via and informing her why I'm on the . I asked her how to navigate to the package room from the outside. I noticed her face begin to scrunch up while I'm talking. She responded with a unpleasant tone as her face remained scrunched, "well, why do you need to be here to notify the residence about their packages, don't they get notified when it arrives?" -- I again briefly explained to JESSICA the purpose and how works (perhaps maybe she forgot). Her face remains scrunched and I felt she was no help with answering my initial question, "how to navigate to the package room from the outside?" I said, "I will figure it out on my own, thank you" as I smiled and walked away. As I begin to walk down the hall to the package room, she and the two begins to make and - comments about me. They called me "a crazy" and "the wild," One of the Caucasian males said, "oh the crazies are out today" and the other male said "does the wild normally roam the property,"-- JESSICA replied back to them, "not normally" -- over hearing their - comments and conversation, I said "Excuse me, what did you say?" as I'm trying to enter my access code on the keypad of the package room. They replied, "we didn't say anything about you, we are talking about something else" -- the keypad was not working from the inside of that hallway. JESSICA contacted the team to inform them about my Google review; asking them to tell me to remove my review. She tells the team that I am unprofessional and that she spoke to and about me the way she did because I fit the description of someone who stole packages off the property. -- I feel like JESSICA racially profiled me. Even though I introduced myself and showed her my credential prior to "roaming" the hallway to the package room. -- I was left utterly confused and baffled about her reasons and justifications. I finally entered the package room via the outside entrance. JESSICA, was present. She made eye contact with me, scrunched her face and said in a stern tone, "can you come with me into my office?" -- I said, "Salutations, sure." We enter her office; "umm can you take down your review?" Was the first thing that came out of her mouth. I replied back, "I removed it already," -- another property manager enter the office. A gentleman (I believe his name is NATE) stood near the door. JESSICA, was trying to minimized her part and also defend the two Caucasian males part in the incident. So if you have friends, they have to park in front of the gate. In my time, I have received SEVERAL emails from the exchange saying that cars were broken into in the visitor lot in front of the gate, but don't worry, it's the resident's fault they say (it's not their fault, why would it be? it's not like we pay for "parking monitoring" (we do, we pay TWO parking fees monthly but it's just bs fees). So if you have a social life, DON'T LIVE HERE!!! If you are a Georgia Tech student, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Seriously, just stop reading this review and look literally anywhere else. I'm trying to save you the time and hassle. Anywhere else is better, and probably cheaper. We get obliterated in monthly fees, which are not listed on the website. These are the fees that I am charged each month: 1. Package 2. Parking 3. Parkeaz parking monitoring 4. Pest Control 5. Trash 6. Rent Reporting 7. Utility Service Fee 8. Convenience fee ($1.95) All of that is IN ADDITION to Water, Sewer, and electricity. It comes out to almost $200 additional per month. THAT IS INSANE!!!!!! I ended up right back where I started and moved up to the top floor and I LOVE IT!! Dwayne is amazing and came into the new apartment to adjust a couple of things and make sure everything was perfect for my move in. He is just absolutely the best. They all are great here. The office employees are super sweet and very helpful. The amenities are amazing, the location is unbeatable for walking to everything and in beautiful neighborhoods. The apartment is super secure. They just replaced all of the heat/cooling on 100% of the apartments and put a brand new roof on too. I am looking forward to seeing the hallways get repainted. The hallway carpet is just beautiful and the elevators are very classy. The vinyl wood flooring in my apartment is gorgeous. I just love it here and glad I am staying!!!!
