Appears it's still the same people, and the menu hasn't changed, but now they're known by The Purple Carrot food cooperative. They have a Facebook page but it really doesn't prove anything so I can't even bring myself to report the name change to Yelp so I'll just put it here. Marketing isn't part of the Carrot's strategy apparently. See: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Purple-Carrot-Cooperative/771365949548733?sk=info Had the black bean and brown rice bowl last night at the Thursday's Farmer's Market and it was delish, packed with some good greens and tasty cheese and a bit of hot sauce. Really hit the spot. Hoping these folks make a go of it. Only places I ever see them is as the Farmer's Market and it's pretty hard to generate a lot of business at those.

The pastor was my initial favorite until he brought out an extra chorizo for us to try! Highly recommend popping in if you're in the area or just passing through! A sign said cash only but I believe other patrons were paying with a card. There were quite a few covered tables to sit and enjoy the meal before hopping back in the car. Perfect lunch stop on a 6-hour road trip through Kansas.

I ordered three tacos ($2ea., so not bad), my son had the chicken quesadilla combo. The tacos were quite good - good flavor, corn tortillas, only onion and cilantro on top. I would have preferred a little more grilling for the tortillas. The quesadilla was quite good - piping hot, gooey Mexican cheese, and plenty of chicken. The rice and retried beans tasted authentic as well. Our meal took about 10 minutes to prepare after ordering from the friendly staff. They have one table to eat at, but it was a blistering hot day so we at in our car. We'll be back!

If you're all about fresh ingredients, meaty bites, and bold Asian inspired sauces, this is definitely the place to check out. I ordered the three bao combo for $20 along with a $7 lavender lemonade. I got the 'Mighty Meat' baos 2 of them and 1 Chick-a-licious Baos as a part of my combo meal. The mighty meat Baos were filled with slow braised shredded beef with spicy Korean barbecue sauce, and the Chicken Baos were flavorful packed with marinated lemongrass, grilled chicken. The baos were steamed fresh after ordering and packed with plenty of meat, layered with fresh toppings, creamy sauce, jalapeños, and kimchi. Every bite was full of flavor, and I enjoyed them so much equally that I'll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu. The lavender lemonade was another highlight freshly squeezed with half a lemon added right into the 32 is container. It's such a fun touch and makes the drink even more refreshing as you sip. The owners were really fun to chat with and told me that they have recently started the food truck and would love to venture into the Kansas side as soon as possible. They mentioned that they would be at the 'Kansas City dragon boat festival' in September, so definitely give them a call to confirm those details!! If you love food trucks, supporting local businesses and crave Korean inspired food, Bao Wowz is a must try. For me, it's a definite 10/10!

The food itself is okay, but the service makes the experience frustrating. Drinks rarely get refilled, servers hardly ever check on tables, and it takes forever to get the check. They also advertise call-in orders for pickup, but getting through on the phone is almost impossible. Either no one answers, or they answer, let you start placing your order, then hang up and stop answering when you call back. Overall, the food is decent, but the poor service and long wait times make the entire experience feel like a waste of time.
