I decided to give Burger Carte another chance. I've been a customer all of my life. It was a staple of my childhood. I'm glad I stopped in today. The food was excellent. The hotdog was good. The slaw was nice and sweet. My Big Gene was messy but super yummy. Big Gene special sauce was just like it used to be back in the day. Oh and my mushrooms were the best I've had in a very long time. perfectly cooked and plenty of them! I'm a big ranch dressing girl. Ranch can tell you a lot about a restaurant. On street parking, but bith of us found spots easily. The interior is gorgeous including the vintage tin ceiling that we both forgot to photograph. The dining area is elevated on 2 levels to take full advantage of the high ceilings and ample space inside the building! Great use of a older building in the Oak Hill area!! Shari ordered the Black and Blue Sliders with Fries and sweet tea and I went with a Grilled Chicken Mediterranean Protein Bowl and water w Lemon!! While waiting, we dove straight into conversation topics of our recent Florida vacation, our personal relationships and upcoming holiday plans...fully enjoying our time together!! The waitress, so very friendly and I'm so horrible I forgot her name, but definitely not her warm smile, brought our food! Again so very sorry" and took the other food back. I felt bad that the food we ordered might go to waste, but the food we were given was terrific and we were both more than pleased!! I definitely highly recommend Mandabee's in Oak Hill on Main Street. A great example of you can't go wrong with whatever you order there! It's all good!! My order was still a grilled chicken protein bowl w a Yum Yum Sauce, rice, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Bacon bits and avocado.....devine!! Shari received an Italian Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries...again we never noticed we were deep into enjoying each other's company!!
