I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but when I realized just how expensive it was going to be I didn't know how I was going to pull it off. My handyman suggested I go and take a look at what I could find at Carpet World. Carpet World is on a service road in Slidell in a huge warehouse-like building. It is not fancy. At all. I walked in and was greeted by a huge burly bear of a guy. He turned out to be part owner of the place. Along with his brother they operate a no frills business of selling carpet, tile and hardwood floors. I explained what I was looking for and how many square feet I had to cover as well as my budget. For a while he looked doubtful and said he wasn't sure I'd be able to have the floor of my dreams without going way over my budget. I was starting to feel my hopes sink when his brother remembered a laminate hardwood that had been discontinued. He said there was only a little bit of it left in their store and offered it to me a very nice discount. It turned out to be just the right amount with a little extra to spare. And it is perfect, to boot! I bought it right away and couldn't be happier with my new floor. This is a great locally owned and family run business that I highly recommend to all of my friends and now to you guys. :)
