Frank Bergeron came out to give us a quote. He was very nice and for the most part professional. I enjoyed talking with him, however, the only thing I didn't really like was him asking me what I did for a living and my wife work. If it was a genuine question bout interesting in my work, thats one thing but it seemed he was more asking how much money i made. Other than that, I enjoyed talking with him and he was very responsive to calls. During the quote I did Ask how much they charge for labor, but he told me that they don't reveal that information. Overall, Excellent communication with Natasha, Frank, and Samuel. There was a lot of subcontractors involved in the project. They worked very hard. The quality of the frame was a bit disappointing, although they got the frame up in a single day. The wood quality looked very cheap for what was being charged. The pavers and installation of pavers was excellent work. The only down side to the pavers was the edges. They just leave the edges with broken up sloped cement. The edges didn't look good and with the cost of the job, you'd expect them to at least fully cement it or anything to make it look good. But I have to understand that wasn't part of the job i guess. tl;dr Very expensive, They don't tell you the cost of labor, HIGHLY recommend getting an Inspector for the job to make sure the subcontractors do good job. Job completion was very fast. Looks good, but quality of material could be a lot better. My project for a 20x25 covered patio with a 5'0" x 14" bar, with Pavers cost $32,000. read more

Frank Bergeron came out to look at the project, took measurements, etc.. We scheduled an appointment the following week to go over the estimate, and schedule the job. A week passed, and I was excited about getting the quote. Frank was late, so I called him to find out the ETA. He said, I forgot to put you on the schedule. Then I told him, I rescheduled my week to fit your schedule. I asked him what the cost would be for the job. He said, it was at the office. (My thoughts, lie number one, Frank did not work up the estimate) He also said the company was short handed and that is why he could not come out. ( My thought, lie number two) He said he would call in a little while with an estimate. (lie number three) A week has passed, and have not heard a peep from "storyteller" Frank. I called the office, and asked for my price quote. Surely it was sitting on his desk, like he said earlier. As I suspected, the woman could not give me the quote that was supposedly on Frank's desk. She said she would have Frank return my call. I do not fault the woman for his incompetence, this is all on Frank Bergeron. Bad News: I wasted two days dealing with Frank and his incompetence. STOP!!!! Pick someone else. From their communication with the customer to the quality of their work, this company is managed poorly. For starters, we were told to contact different people to address our issues throughout the process. When we tried to contact the project manager, she did not ever answer the phone and still has a voicemail set up from her vacation back in March. We had to call multiple times and different people to get a hold of anyone that we could relay our issues to. Once some eventually got back in touch with us, the reaction time to respond to an issue was just as bad. As another example of poor communication: We asked multiple times for a notification when someone would be at the house so we could be there, however this rarely happened. When it did, they would show up thirty minutes to hours late. The work was subpar at best too. The concrete slab was not finished correctly so they had to chip it out so it could be resurfaced. The concrete around the edge of the structure was supposed to be sloped so it would drain, but it wasn't done correctly. So now we'll have to brush the water off after every rain to avoid staining the concrete (which is already happening). They didn't even offer to fix it, they just took off $500 because they know fixing it would cost much more and it would save time. The paint job was splotchy. They left our backyard a mess with concrete all over our fence and all the grass torn up in one area. Hand prints on our house and dirt everywhere. We had to ask multiple times and bring the issue up to the owners of the company to finally have someone come pick up their mess. The concrete on the fence never got corrected and we had to plant seeds for new grass ourselves. Overall, go to someone else. It's a poorly ran company who will talk to you when it's time to pay up. A small house was built in faster time than it took them to build a covered area/shed building. 0 out of 0 stars. Absolutely horrible experience all around. read more

Frank came out to give us a quote. The very first question he asked me was "what do you do for a living?" Unbelievable. Usually, workers sneak that question in a little later into the conversation. Frank got right to it! So I responded, "I'm unemployed." Needless to say, I never heard back from Custom Outdoor Concepts. Two weeks later I emailed to say, hey, can I get my quote? No response. I'm not sure if they do good work or not. But if you want Custom Outdoor Concepts to do your job, be sure to let them know you have a disposable income, so they can give you a nice fat quote. read more

We were pleased with the hardscape and deck work completed at our place. Unfortunately, we only saw photos initially as the work was done at a rental property several hours away. When we arrived at the house, we realized that the contractor had left our gas grill shoved behind a tree rather than putting it back on the hardscape, so it was covered in filth and damaged. They also didn't remove a tree we had agreed upon as part of the job. It took weeks and several phone calls and emails to get that "taken care of." Here's what we found this trip - tree was cut down but the stump wasn't removed. Now we've got another mess to deal with. These guys left us with a mess. The hardscape and shade cover look great.
