Loved the food, waiters are very attentive, great atmosphere and enjoy the Morher's Day Mariachis

Amazing owner and crew. The owner, Alfonso, and his team from his foreman to the actual laborers are very professional. We initially contracted them to repair our foundation. They were way ahead of the schedule they estimated and completed the job quickly. We were so satisfied with their level of professionalism and the progress they made, that we had them change our old pipes from cast iron to PVC. This job was done quickly as well. The team was in constant communication with us every step of the way. Prior to our foundation repair, water would come into our home from the heavy rains, but now it doesn't. We are looking to renovate our home and we will definitely work with them on that project. They provide a wide array of high quality home repair and building services at fair and affordable prices. We can't wait to see the magic they create with future projects on our old home. read more

Horrible service, BRAD was supposed to inspect my house and assess damages, he canceled on me 3 times at the last minute. Had to take off of work to meet him home and never showed up. He finally told me he wasn't going to be able to check my house and completely blocked me. Will never used their services read more

Never received estimate after site visit and multiple follow up calls. Had a handful of small projects that needed to be done, so scheduled these guys to come out take a look. Took time off of work so I could meet them at the house and go over everything. The guy called me a few days later with a couple questions then never heard from him again. Probably a good sign of what to expect if you do actually use them. read more

Castillo Builders has been excellent to work with. Had a duplex that needed a lot of work and updating. Wade, Belter, Nelson, Sherri, Terri and everyone was great. True shout out to both Wade and Belter who I had the most contact with! They are both amazing. This company works extremely hard and is very trustworthy. They always kept me in the loop of any issues that needed to be dealt with along with multiple options to remedy a few unexpected situations. I will definitely use them again in the future for any needs big or small. You won't go wrong and will not be disappointed with them. read more

I hired them to put new roof on my rental property in uptown New Orleans and needed it completed within one month (by the end of July 2021). I was concerned it might not get done in time due to the non-relenting daily rainstorms, but we eventually caught a break from the rain and Wade got the job done in two day and came in on time and on budget. The roof looks great and the workmen did a very good job of cleaning up afterwards. I have also looked into having them replace all the old wiring in this old apartment duplex and the person they sent over to give me a quote seemed very knowledgeable on just how to get it done in just a few days and to consolidate electrical boxes and wire runs so that looks better after than it does now. They did a great job, my house looks really good and per usual, there were a few tricky situations that needed to be navigated that they handled well. I never doubted that the home would be finished as expected, on time and on budget. Everyone worked hard and communicated and I got the house I wanted. read more

Beware of Castillo Construction now known as Castillo Builders. We terminated our contract with Alfonso 3 years ago for faulty work and delayed timelines. He went through multiple subcontractors for nonpayment to them. We brought a case against him which was eventually settled with a payment plan over 1 year. During this time he was usually late paying and stopped paying as of the second to last installment. We were told by our lawyer that his legal representation withdrew due to non-payment. In the midst of this he created a new LLC, presumably to avoid incurring any liens by us because Castillo Construction is now defunct. When we tried to serve him with lien papers, the address listed on all his business filings is a serviced PO Box at Royal Mail on Metairie Rd. If you know how to contact him, please let me know. In the meantime, I highly suggest avoiding his services. read more

Highly recommend! I had Castillo Builders help with two minor repairs prior to putting my home up for sale. Even though these were both small jobs, Wade and Nelson could not have been more courteous and professional. I was very happy with the work they did and enjoyed working with them both. read more

These guys did a great job in a fairly short amount of time for a large job they undertook for me. I had to have the sub floors and upper floors completely redone in my house with multiple joists that needed to be replaced in a short amount of time. They were informative and straightforward with any delays or areas of concern that needed to be felt with, and stayed within my budget. Being able to stay in constant contact with them helped take away a lot of worry, especially if I had a question or concern that needed answered. read more

I hired Castillo Construction for renovations on my house due to a very large water oak tree falling on my house. This was actually the second time the tree had fallen (I know...how can a tree fall twice?!). A year prior a large branch had fallen and done considerable damage. I wish I had hired Castillo the first time!! The contractor I hired the first round wasn't even finished with the repairs when the rest of the tree fell a year later. I did my research the second time around and Castillo Construction was the most responsive to my requests, had the best quote, and worked within the bounds of my insurance claim. Not only did they do a great job repairing my home, they also finished a lot of the work that my previous contractor had left undone. Alfonso's employees were at the house working all the time. They were polite and respectful, answered my questions in detail, and always cleaned up the worksite before leaving for the day. Alfonso delayed starting other projects so that he could get my son and I back in our house before Christmas. He has been completely honest throughout the entire process and has my trust 100%. I would highly recommend Castillo Construction for projects large and small! read more

We had a very good experience with Castillo. We needed to repair our roof and wanted to match the existing roof. They sourced the shingles from Baton Rouge. We even messed up their schedule due to going out of town last minute. I'd feel with them again in a second! read more

I started my search on Yelp looking for a contractor to do some repair work and entryway door replacement at my mother in-laws home. Out of three companies that came for quotes Castillo was the only company that returned with a quote...and a very reasonable quote. Part of the work was to repair a rotted section of siding. Castillo was honest and straightforward about making us aware that until they pulled all the boards back and started the repair that they couldn't confirm the amount of rot and damage, so the quote could change. Once we signed the contract for the work they promptly got the work underway. The workers were extremely courteous. They took great care to cover and protect the furnishings. They cleaned up after each day. The final work on all the siding, sheetrock repair and door replacement was fantastic. Alfonso runs a top notch business and top notch crew. I would highly recommend them and we will use them again. read more

I highly recommend Castillo Builders. I got several quotes for the renovation of my small home in the Garden District. Wade got back to me the fastest and with the most comprehensive quote of them all. The prices were fair and the written estimates included everything that we would encounter in the renovation. The communication was great and if something on the quote changed it was all done in writing, so there was no mistakes. These guys started work promptly, showed up on time and even worked weekends to complete my project. Nelson and the crew were courteous, professional and respectful of the property. Castillo is a well run company and I would definitely use them again for any other renovations. Great job! read more

Castillo Builders did a wonderful job on our roof and they were very reasonable. We worked with John Canamar who was extremely professional and personable. The team of roofers were quick and efficient. And after finishing the job they left it spotless. Also, our AC unit which is on the roof needed a new stand. There was some difficulty finding a new one and because of this John took it upon himself to make one for us and it came out amazing. We really appreciated him doing that. We will definitely recommend Castillo Builders to anyone and will be using Castillo Builders for our future projects. read more

Castillo Builders are professional and especially good with communication. They do great work for a reasonable price and are very honest about the job. Wade breaks down all the different steps/ equipment expenses in his quote so you can see everything they will do and what it will individually cost. They have done a few projects around my house. I will definitely use Castillo again in the future! read more

My husband and I hired Castillo construction to raise our house. Alfonso, the owner, came to our house and gave us a detailed and reasonable estimate. We had heard so many horror stories about contractors, so we did our homework on him and yes, his references were excellent and everything checked out. He is licensed and insured. He explained to us what the job was going to entailed. He was very flexible and understanding. Their work was performed in a timely manner. His workers were so polite and helpful. At the end of the project, Castillo Construction left everything very clean . Alfonso kept in touch to make sure that we were satisfied with his work . I really highly recommend him. He delivers exactly what he offers. He doesn't take shortcuts. A year later, we hired him to remodeled another property we own. He did a superb job. Since he is a general contractor, he took care of everything. We can't begin to tell you how pleased we are with his services. He is very honest, FAST, and reliable. Alfonso also gives you great suggestions since he has so much experience. We recommend him for any kind of construction needs. You will not be disappointed. read more

I've used these guys twice to do some renovation work on a rental property I own. They came highly recommended and I can say that I do too. First job was leveling the house, which went well enough for me to go ahead and hire them to do all the renovating on the house. They stay in touch with you throughout the whole project, their bids were very reasonable for me compared to a few others I had gotten and they turned out to be good all around guys to work with. Reliable contractors are so hard to find but they are just that. read more
