After she finished the Math courses and prior to COVID starting, I purchased a reading class. Although the Sylvan centers in this area were still offering masked classes, I did not feel comfortable with my granddaughter attending - so I deferred sending her even though I'd already paid the money. Over a year later, after vaccines started and COVID was better, I contacted Sylvan to have my granddaughter start her class. This session was as different as day and night from the previous Math sessions. Whereas the staff had been very open and engaging, I found that I had to call or email several times to even get answers to any questions I had. The day prior to my granddaughter's last class, I realized that she'd had no reviews. I emailed Sylvan and asked if they still provided those. They said yes and for me to make an appointment. Well that was totally useless as she only had one more day of instruction left. I hate to say it, but I think since the money I'd paid them had already been spent over a year ago, they somehow didn't feel that they needed to be as engaged as before. Needless to say, I probably wouldn't use Sylvan again.

We put our notice in and did everything right. The refund is supposed to take up to 45 days. We are past day 60 now and have been lied to and given the run around. Told it was mailed. Didn't get anything in the mail. Tonight my husband called the center director and she said she had nothing to do with the refund a d gave him a 800 number to call to check on the status. He repeated it back to her and she confirmed. When he called the number, it was an adult hotline. Not a place you want to deal with. Sorry we ever stepped foot in the place.

He in particular complained about not being able to remember math facts and other concepts taught in class. We decided Learning RX would be the perfect training to help him overcome these short falls, close gaps and get him ready for middle school. He was matched with the perfect trainer and all objectives were achieved and more! Our son is in 7th grade now and enjoys year round swimming, Boy Scouts and being in the National Junior Honor Society. He is a successful student in the accelerated STEM program at JN Fries Magnet School. Our daughter has always been a successful AIG student who balances many plates. We felt that Learning RX would help her do this more effectively and have not been disappointed. Through training with her perfectly matched trainer, she has been able to excel in all areas, both academically and extracurricular. She is an extraordinary student in the very accelerated International Baccalaureate program at JN Fries Magnet School. She enjoys dancing ballet, jazz, contemporary and performing year round, Girl Scouts, National Junior Honor Society membership and is an accomplished violinist.
