York college was far above the usual school in caring about the student and their future. Robert chose this school first and was accepted early. York has been a blessing for Robert in so many ways . I cannot thank your institution enough for all your personal care and efforts to aid a student towards their future goals and dreams. I honestly don't know where to begin--York College has been a complete nightmare from start to…read morefinish. The administration is an absolute mess, with zero organization. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are ignored, and even when you do manage to speak to someone, no one has a clue what's going on. Every interaction feels like you're talking to someone who's just as confused as you are about the school's basic operations. It's as if no one has any idea how to run the place! But that's not even the worst part. The campus is unsafe and poorly managed. There have been several incidents of crime happening around campus--some of which were completely brushed under the rug by the administration. Instead of addressing these issues and ensuring student safety, they've chosen to keep things quiet, making students feel like their safety isn't even a priority. I've had friends who were harassed, and it seems like no one at York cares enough to do anything about it. The lack of transparency is beyond frustrating, and the attitude of the administration is completely dismissive. I regret ever choosing this school. The lack of communication, the disorganized nature of everything, and the fact that serious safety issues are being ignored is beyond unacceptable. If you're considering York College, RUN. There are so many better options out there where your safety and education actually matter.

Penn State Harrisburg is an incredible place to study, especially for Computer Science. It's the…read morelargest branch campus in the Penn State system, which actually makes it bigger than many standalone universities across Pennsylvania. That size brings the best of both worlds: the prestige and resources of a major research institution, combined with a close-knit campus community. The Computer Science program is particularly strong, with professors who genuinely care about student success and coursework that builds real-world technical skills. There are also plenty of opportunities for research, internships, and networking with employers. Campus life keeps growing each year, new buildings, more student organizations, and tons of events that make it easy to get involved. You can tell the school is investing heavily in its future, and the student population keeps increasing because of it. Overall, Penn State Harrisburg delivers an outstanding experience, academically, professionally, and socially. I couldn't recommend it more highly, especially for anyone pursuing Computer Science or Engineering.

This is the worst university I have ever graduated from. I have attended and graduated from three…read moredifferent universities. Penn State Harrisburg is outrageously expensive and the quality of education is not near worth what they charge. They don't treat students very well and I could give many examples of that. I had one professor who was given three classes to teach for what she had. Absolutely no qualifications to teach. In one class she relied on the students in the class to help her teach the class and would rely on calling her son during class. At one point I got an email from registrar threatening to cancel my classes because they said I wasn't attending classes. I called the director of registrar and told him not only have I not missed a class. I had never even been late for a class. I completely chewed him out. Most of the class content of the classes had nothing to do with the major and the field that I was pursuing yet they charge top dollar for it and once they got my money they couldn't have cared less. I moved across the country and was hoping to get a graduate assistantship which pays my tuition. They didn't even tell me until I got here from California that I had to take the GRE to even be considered. So I took the GRE and never got the graduate assistantship and they wouldn't even inform me and let me know. In my opinion and my experience, Penn State Harrisburg is a completely unprofessional discombobulated poor quality shabby institution that charges probably 10 times what they should charge for the quality of experience in education they provide. I WOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE TO ATTEND PENN STATE.

Well. Ive been there many times for different services. I've gotten my hair cut, highlighted, a…read morefacial, nails and a special scalp conditioning. Now, I have to say we go there knowing these are students who are still learning. That's why it's cheap. I've had a couple good experiences but, mostly not up to par. Oh, I forgot I also had my makeup done for my daughter's wedding. That was a disaster! The girl made me look like a drag queen and it took her forever to do! When I got in the car I wiped as much as I could off and fixed it the best I could. My eyebrows were SO thick! The eye liner very bold and heavy. Another one of the girls cut my hair and styled it. She did a fantastic job. When I had my nails done, right when I got home I noticed the polish was pealing off on the nail. I just picked it all off. The facial, not great. I'm not real picky about color, so when they do my highlights I just except it isn't going to be like going to a high scale salon. The last hair cut I had there was horrible! After showing the girl some examples of the cut I wanted she seemed very nervous. Basically I just wanted the bottom trimmed and my head layered. She cut straight across at the bottom of my hair about 2 inches up from the ends not blending it. Then she was done. I started to say no I wanted it layered all over but she seemed so frazzled that I decided I didn't want her touching the rest of my hair. When you do go there, plan on being there for hours! It takes them super long as opposed to going to a salon. Everytime I've been there for a hair service the teacher has to come check the cut or color when it's finished. However, that last hair cut I got the girl just took the smock off and said I could pay. I don't think she wanted the teacher to see the end product. And I had a black outfit on and there was SO much hair all over it. She didn't even apologize. One more thing I've noticed is that when you go to a salon the hairdresser will make small conversation or ask you questions about your hair. How you like it styled and so fourth. If you want them to talk to you, don't expect that to happen. They don't talk very much. So, the hospitality should be taught as something you should try to do. I always give tips no matter the service. After all as I said before, these are students trying to learn. But if you don't want to be practiced on maybe just pay extra and go to a professional.
