The school is money hungry. They add an exam average of 77% to your semester so even though you may…read morepass the class with a 90%, if your exam average is not 77% or higher than you fail and have to repeat the entire course and clinical. They implemented the exam average to increase their nclex pass rate but half the students fail out and do not get to take the exam. Also, I doubt any of the current nurses had exam pass rates when they were in class. You can study for hours and still fail and there is no empathy from some professors, and some professors are so nice and try everything they can to help you! They will accept anyone who apples but it is extremely difficult to pass. Mentally exhausting. Also if you fail any class twice, they kick you out of the program, which is insane because if you're paying for it, then you should be allowed to retake it until you understand it. The school is selfish. The upper heads of the school are not approachable and are very dismissive. Save your mental health and do not do it.

He plays club hockey which is a lot of fun, and joined a fraternity -- the frats are fun and low key, not the toxic male environment as it can be at some schools. The campus is beautiful. Equally as nice as most small liberal arts colleges. The dorms are no worse than at most schools. I think most important of all, it's really a positive and supportive environment, academically intense but not competitive in an unhealthy way. If you're considering schools like Bucknell or Lehigh or Lafayette, DEFINITELY consider F&M. (And they gave us some generous financial merit aid compared to Bucknell!)

When I come back to visit for Homecoming or my sororities functions on campus - it is great to see the new buildings and all the accommodations made for the students. When I attended the school it was known for "Education, Music & Health & Safety" majors primarily. Now, I see there are students who are there for many other majors and Millersville U. has been receiving good feedback in the academic world for having good programs. I feel for the education, the costs are still at a premium value. Millersville has done average in the sports department comparatively to other state schools - but it was always a fun outing to watch the games. I am glad I chose Millersville U. and when I come back to visit - it is wonderful to see how much it has grown and I can enjoy all that it has to offer upcoming students.

My daughter is finishing her first year here we were excited. It's been nothing but drama and…read moreissues. The staff who oversee her building don't want to do their job. She has lived in an environment not conducive to learning. She has been bullied by her suite mates for months with nothing being done. She has gone to countless ra's. Even their supervisor yet nothing was done. I have contacted the email and still nothing. She is going back into a different building next year and I hope it goes better. She is only planning on doing half of next year at this point due to the inability or laziness of the people who over see the dorms. It's just sad the classes are great but the housing is lacking. This school is constantly raising tuition and wasting money on useless "health and safety" initiatives for students when they are really just trying to avoid a lawsuit. Save some money and send your son or daughter elsewhere.
