Janus helps students with…read morelearning differences such as; High Functioning Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning diagnoses. It has small class sizes, around 4-5 students per class. Homework is assigned as needed. Because the student body struggles with learning, the students use much of their mental and emotional energy throughout the day for academic, emotional, and social learning. Many students are "spent" and need a reprieve from homework. Many parents report a positive change in their student. Most students report that they either like or love Janus compared to their former school. The Janus School is typically a transitional school. They help students find strategies that work for them so the student can transition back to a home school district. This is based on several factors: the severity of the learning difference and when a student comes to Janus. It is rare for students to stay all 12 years at Janus. Typically a student that comes during elementary will transition by middle school. A student that comes by 8-9th grade will probably graduate with Janus. Most students will stay 4-5 years. Some 1-2 years and others will be at Janus 6 years or longer. Overall the Janus School is a real Gem! The overall success stories of Janus are numerous. I grew up in the 1970's-80's and later in life discovered I have Dyslexia, ADD, with mild anxiety and depression. I WISH The Janus School had existed when I was in school!

When I come back to visit for Homecoming or my sororities functions on campus - it is great to see the new buildings and all the accommodations made for the students. When I attended the school it was known for "Education, Music & Health & Safety" majors primarily. Now, I see there are students who are there for many other majors and Millersville U. has been receiving good feedback in the academic world for having good programs. I feel for the education, the costs are still at a premium value. Millersville has done average in the sports department comparatively to other state schools - but it was always a fun outing to watch the games. I am glad I chose Millersville U. and when I come back to visit - it is wonderful to see how much it has grown and I can enjoy all that it has to offer upcoming students.

My daughter is finishing her first year here we were excited. It's been nothing but drama and…read moreissues. The staff who oversee her building don't want to do their job. She has lived in an environment not conducive to learning. She has been bullied by her suite mates for months with nothing being done. She has gone to countless ra's. Even their supervisor yet nothing was done. I have contacted the email and still nothing. She is going back into a different building next year and I hope it goes better. She is only planning on doing half of next year at this point due to the inability or laziness of the people who over see the dorms. It's just sad the classes are great but the housing is lacking. York Catholic High School is at a disadvantage financially compared to the public school system and…read morestill does an incredible job with the students. Compared to the public schools and with less financially, York Catholic turns out a more well rounded student. Consider the amount of money coming into the public school system, for example Dallastown. Tax dollars go a long way for them. York Catholic does not have the same advantage but still teaches the students at a very high level with higher standards not to mention a better teacher/student ratio and let's not forget the focus on values and morals.

The director was new last year. She is very inviting to parents and students. She tries to help…read morestudents and families when needed. The classrooms are nice sizes with one side of windows and a bathroom for each class. Class sizes are 14 three year olds with two teachers and 16 four year olds with two teachers. There is a nice playground with a soon to be added fence and an inside gym for bad weather.

They ve been trained to be 'experts'. they learn how to things right, and not to get top $ the fastest way. It took my student 40 minutes to do his job, while i m getting used to 15' top in any chain salon. The good news: the boss will fix the mistakes, if any, and he s good. By the way, it s $7 (YES, $7!). Congratulations to the initiative, they learn about job well done here.

My eight dollar haircut is every bit as nice as what I was paying over $20 for. The staff there were very professional. They were courteous and they were attentive. We are on a fixed income now, so this helps. I'd recommend retirees and people with large families to go here for a haircut. our experience here was less than unsatisfactory. We experienced the loss of two of their most…read moretalented employees in a moment's notice. When we asked the reason, we were told that one of them "just crashed out". We experienced hand foot and mouth twice in 3 months. We experienced lice twice in 3 months. We lost wages over this. When I asked they cleaning procedures, they explained that they only clean the room they found it in; however, every staff member is in contact with almost every child in the building at some point. My grandson got a large scratch right next to his eye. When we asked what happened, no one knew. We were told "a friend must have accidentAlly scratched him". When I watched a 3 year attempt to punch my grandson and left the building with him, I was not asked by the director who was standing right there why I was upset. She ignored me and allowed me to leave angry and upset. There is a child in the 2 year old room that is clearly not 2 years old. I watched her punch a little boy in the side of his head for no reason. I watched a staff member help a calm little girl with a baby doll rather than help to console my crying granddaughter during drop off. They will not remove my account from their payment portal and it us set up in such a way that you do not have control of your own money. They take whatever payment they want in spite of their contract and offer to pay your overdraft fees as consolation. They have a 30 day notice period. If you do not give a 30 day notice, they inform you that they are turning you into collections if you don't pay even if your children aren't there. They have no regard for complaints or concerns about safety. They only care about money.

There are so many interesting ways to learn things at Veritas - from learning fun actions and songs, to dressing up, to exciting trips, to great stories - and more. Math has become the favorite subject of my 6th grader! The academics are rigorous. The orderly environment gives my kids confidence and stability as they learn new things. Teachers and staff welcome parent questions and feedback in a warm way. We love that our children are developing a true love of learning, and that they are doing it in a Christ centered, kind, and thoughtful environment. While the financial piece can seem a bit daunting at first, we are finding it to be WELL worth the sacrifice. To those that are concerned about this, ask about financial aid, since it is the goal of the school to make this type of education a possibility for everyone.

We moved our son to Kinderhook and they have been amazing with him. He has even told me he likes this school and his teachers more than before. Center just lets the kids run around all day. No stimulation or curriculum whatsoever. When ever…read moreI walked in, the "teachers" were always on their phones sitting and not paying attention to the kids. There has been times when the bathrooms were smeared with poop and no one noticed or wanted to clean it. The director tries to pack as many kids in the center as possible. It is dirty and way overpriced for the amount of nothing they do. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone
