I'm a Syberg's fan as far as sports bars are concerned. It's a sports bar. The food is decent, the wings are excellent but the atmosphere is what it's all about. Great place to watch a sporting event. The place is clean, the service is above average, and the beer and drinks are cold and hit the spot. I particularly like the Arnold patio. Very comfortable. I only wish the patio had a couple more TVs to watch the Blues and Cards on. read more

This place is ridiculous. We attempted to call ahead because we had a large group (8-9) 2 hours before we were going to be there and were told they don't take reservations and we had to use the yelp app. Up until we walked in the door, the yelp app showed 0 wait time, so you can't join the waitlist. Knowing this, I called when we were 10 minutes away and was told by the hostess that I was right, I couldn't use the yelp app because they have no wait but that she would go ahead and put our party on the list. She said it would be a few minutes wait while they waited for some tables to clear out, which I completely understood. When we got there, we were told it was a 45min - 1 hr wait because "2 other 8 top parties called before you did to get on the list". Great, why was I not told this when I called?? And why when I tried to call even earlier was I told that you couldn't call ahead? But these other people were able to? Oh, and when you use the yelp app, you can't get on the waitlist if you have a group of 7+...it tells you to contact the host. This system is TERRIBLE and your food isn't worth the ridiculous amounts of hoops we were expected to jump through. Never again. We called Another restaurant 5 minutes away who took a reservation and seated our large group immediately. read more

I went there during happy hour, and they had half off appetizers and drinks. I tried their sesame chicken strips, which was delicious and highly recommend! It's sweet and tangy with all the right balance in flavor. The waitress was friendly and served our food promptly even though it was getting fairly crowded that night. They don't take reservations, so it's first come first serve. If you come with a group on a weekend night, just make sure you arrive before peak hours to find seating. read more

I came here during opening weekend. As expected, it was so incredibly crowded with the Cardinals game on and folks rolling in for dinner. We were told our wait was 2 hours for outside or inside. We decided just to wait outside and split a bucket of beer. I don't think our actual wait time was more than 1 hour... pleasantly surprised! I only wish they had some benches outside for people to sit and wait on a nice night. The patio looked nice, just on the small side. The atmosphere inside was wonderful - really nice flat screens everywhere, and a HUGE bar area. I knew the wait staff was swamped, and brand new, so I didn't expect amazing service. I was wrong! Our waiter handled the chaos like a pro, and the manager stopped by to ask how everything was. We ordered wings, Sygoons, and the Famous Chicken Sandwich. Hit the spot! The food is mediocre bar food. The place is too loud. Slightly heavy scent of chemical cleaner when you walked in. The shark filet is nasty, is too fishy and has a weird Cajun seasoning that doesn't go well with the fish. The house salad is good tho, it has provable cheese in it. Went on Sunday for lunch around 11:00. Restaurant was somewhat full, but not packed. Ordered a salad and wings assuming my salad would come first...salad never showed and then here came the (lukewarm) wings. I had to ask the guy who brought my wings where my salad was at. It came out several minutes later. My wife ordered a chicken strip salad and the chicken strips on hers were cold. Our waitress never really came by to check on us once the food arrived...on the contrary, I had to flag her down for a refill of my drink. This is our third visit and the food/service has been spotty thus far. Need to step up your game as the new restaurant excuse will only last so long! Update: I was contacted immediately by Sybergs to make things right and they did. Looking forward to giving them another opportunity. read more

I was very disappointed. First off they won't/don't accommodate handicapped people. My wheel chair could not maneuver. We asked for our order Togo and since it was our first visit I had a coupon for a free appetizer and sine we had changed our order to go they would not honor the coupon to make it free. We told them to keep it and said we had to pay for it anyway or they would call the police. We took it since we had to pay for it anyway. Who wants to go to jail over $5. We were told that is the owners choice to not allow the free app to be given to go orders even if the person is handicapped. I got the roast beef sandwich and it was soooooo salty, the onion rings were ok but the coating fell off easily. My husband said his food was ok, also a little salty, but edable. read more

Very excited to finally have the time to try this newer establishment in Arnold, my wife and I ate here for the first time last night. My food was good (except for the chunks of fruit that accompanied my shark appetizer having excessive amounts of rind still attached), but my wife was less than impressed with her sandwich. Still, the one-star review has less to do with the food and more to do with the service. Our bartender was horrible. Very unfriendly, seemingly uninterested in serving us, and very slow to do anything. She was quick to serve & flirt with her regulars and the single guys at the bar, but we were an afterthought. It took almost 10 minutes to get our first drink (it was so long we didn't bother ordering another, not that she asked us if we wanted more anyway...) and we had to request everything that should have seemed obvious, like: menus (of which we were only given one), silverware (after our food came...), and to wipe up a sticky mess that was all over the bar when we arrived. Each time it was as though we were inconveniencing her. When she did check on us, if I asked for anything, she would immediately go do something else and make us wait for whatever it was that we needed, however mundane. Two cases in point: my wife asked for a water once & I asked for the check, both requests were delayed significantly even though she prompted the dialogue each time. That doesn't even include how long my card laid on top of the receipt after she did drop off the check... If you aren't prepared to get something simple for a guest at a particular moment, don't ask if they need anything. I would be more understanding if I had flagged her down when she was busy, but she asked me. Sure it was 11:00pm on a Friday night, but they were not incredibly busy. Our bartender seemed apathetic and unenthused the entire time we were there. I've seen bartenders 3 times as busy and still deliver far superior service. If she was overwhelmed (which did not at all appear to be the case), the manager could have and should have stepped in to help with making drinks for servers and such (which in fairness took up a significant amount of her time). There probably should have been 2 bartenders for that very reason. I would have complained directly to the manager about all of this, but he was casually strolling back and forth between the bar and kitchen, stopping only to have a brief conversation with an employee (particularly our bartender, which only seemed to further distract her from her guests) none of which appeared to be at all work related, acting almost too cool for this scene, and seemingly as uninterested in his guests experiences as the bartender. Nobody was in the weeds, but everyone was busy, except for him. I worked in the service industry for many years and have never encountered a staff that seemed more disinterested. Perhaps they all had a rough night before we arrived or maybe they were all recovering from the devistation of a Valentine's Day dissapointment. Whatever the case, the entire mood was almost one of aloofness. There was a sense of entitlement in the air. Just because there is a well known St. Louis institution's name in neon on the outside doesn't mean the service should lack because people are going to come in for the wings & shark chunks anyway. I was incredibly disappointed by this experience as I had been looking forward to having Syberg's wings so close to home. It is a beautiful building that seems like it could a great place to frequent, but my very high hopes were crushed by abhorrent customer service. What made it worse was we came in to celebrate a personal accomplishment and were ready to spend a good amount of money. This soured what should have been a great evening for us. It will be quite a while before we give this place another try (if we do at all) and if we do, we will likely try the restaraunt side. It's more likely that I will just make the drive to Helen Fitzgerald's to get my wings next time, or just settle for the knock-offs I can get across the parking lot at Hot Shots. Very sorry for the extra long post. I hope it is still helpful to any and all who make there way through it. :) read more

Okay place, but the Thursday night karaoke ruined the experience because there were 10 year olds singing one after another at 1030pm in the bar. Don't these kids have school on a Friday?? Shame on the management for allowing this. If I were a server, I'd refuse to work. People were leaving because of it. Only reason we were there is our hotel was next door. This location is unlike the other Syberg's I've been to, it's big and very loud in a generic bar/restaurant style. Definitely won't go back, but the staff was rather nice and tried to be accommodating. This is a decent place for a casual family meal. We were seated immediately even though it was a Friday night. Our server Michael was the most attentive server I've had in a long time. Not once did we have to ask for anything. He anticipated all of our needs and brought drinks, napkins, bread, and a carryout box at the right time. Even our teenager noticed Michael's exceptional service. The food came out hot and rather quickly. The lobster mac and cheese was very good. The kids had shark chunks and wings, both staples at Syberg's. They were delicious as usual. My boyfriend had the taco salad and said it was bland. The taco meat needed more seasoning. He also said the toppings on the taco salad were sparse. I reminded him that he wasn't at a Mexican restaurant and that he probably shouldn't expect the same level of taste at Syberg's. This is the only restaurant where my son eats fish so it gets an extra star from me just for that point. read more

We had cold and soggy onion rings given to us. Patty melt was cold no flavor no cheese. Wings were soggie and too vinegar taste. The kicker is that we told the manager about it and he walked away. I have been going to Sybergs for years down off Gravios. Was excited when the one in Arnold opened since it was closer. It's a great place for quicker more relaxed lunch meetings. I've always liked the food here. Had a lunch meeting here a couple weeks ago, the waitress, I think her name was Casey. She did a wonderful job and the food was just as good as always. read more

I love the food but I'm not happy with service. I work near this location so when I'm jonesing for some awesome wings, I always call ahead and place an order. More than a few times, they've forgotten items like an extra side of ranch or forgot to put my croutons on the side of my dinner salad as I've asked. Well, recently, called and ordered 12 wings with syberg's sauce and sweet potato fries, with 2 sides of ranch. Went to go pick it up, and waited about 10 or so minutes to just be acknowledged, turns out the waitress behind me chatting up the same table is working behind the bar. She grabs my food, I pay and head out since I'm crunched for time. The wings barely had any sauce (looked like they were in a rush and threw it in there), and the sweet potato fries were just okay. Only had 1 side of ranch even though I asked for two. After that, I'm okay with not ordering again.. I know I'm going to be disappointed one way or another. read more
