Always enjoy coming here. The food is good and they have nice seating areas. The pro tip is the terrace which lets you be outdoors and see plans. Well smell them too :-)

These guys have a number of Highland malts that were unfamiliar to me. This particular malt is definitely worth seeking out.

This Star Alliance lounge is a real standout in comparison to its brethren at PEK and ICN. It's well-appointed and spacious. The WiFi is fine! The food is varied and quite good. Especially, the whisky bar is a knockout: malts of all kinds, including some that I'd never heard of before, are available for sampling. Stopping here is a wonderful way to begin a long journey. This airport looks superficially like Oakland but has even more class.

The Zurich airport in Switzerland is one of the best airports to transit through. One of the reasons is because they have lounges all over the airport. With our priority pass we have access to 5 lounges at the Zurich airport and if you are traveling business class or first class you get access to their flagship lounges. On our way back from Warsaw we had an hour and fifteen minutes to the next flight and we were still able to make a pit stop at this lounge. All Swiss lounges have tons of food options along with beverages and drinks. We were able to have a quick bite of penne pasta with tomato sauce along with a clear veggie soup. 5 star lounge and a perfect airport to go through. I really like Swiss air and the Zurich route works for us.

Careful-The access elevator at E37 can be easily missed. Then somehow my Swiss boarding pass didn't show my status and I had to show my UA card to prove eligibility. Rejection would be bad. Peace and quiet-except the guy who is talking to his daughter, lectures her, but missed the courtesy lesson about not to make calls on speaker in a public place. Now seriously 1. Awesome whiskey bar 2. Nice warm snacks served by a friendly chef 3. Best view of an A380 taking off 4. Relax area (without the poor parenting caller) 5. Charging ports for many adapters

If you have the option to come into the Senator Lounge instead of the Business Lounge, go to this one. Food is similar, but there is a whiskey bar and it's far less crowded than the Business Lounge. It makes for a much more relaxing atmosphere with less people crammed into the lounge.

Made to order omelette!

The Senator lounge at Zurich terminal E, is certainly amongst some of the best airport lounges that I've visited. The space is bright and airy and there is plenty of seating in separate areas depending on whether you want to work, eat, relax or simply look out over the airport. The business cubicles were well appointed with outlets, although I would prefer a bit more lighting. The food options are quite nice in the morning. They have cooked to order omelettes and they even do egg white omelettes. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses, as well as fruit, yogurt and breads. The beverage selection is vast and stocked with well selected wines and spirits. The restrooms were quite clean and spacious as well. There is also a pretty cool Breitling exhibit This was a great space to spend 5+ hours between my flight from Dubai and my flight to New York.

The best Swiss lounge in Switzerland. Great espresso drinks machine. Plenty of snacks/drinks/wine throughout the day. Unlike lounges in different terminals, this one has resting area where you can take a nap, quietly work, also shower. Hot food cooking station offers always one kind of pasta, meat and vegetarian item. PS: There is small packaged cookie above the coffee machine and you should try it. It's Swiss traditional cookie.

Review Highlights - Swiss Senator Lounge E

This lounge, unlike it's sister in Terminal A, is quite spacious and always seems to be an oasis of calm, even on the most hectic days.

On a Sunday night, this bar is open later than most everywhere else in Zurich, aside from its…read moreLangstrasse neighboring bars that cater to a very different audience (think establishments with clothing optional "performances" and all night hookah bars). It's a bit divey, for sure, but not in a dirty or dingy way. Despite Yelp saying that credit cards are accepted here, the bartenders told me otherwise (with a 30CHF bill), so keep that in mind if you're visiting from out of town and have limited Swiss currency. I'm guessing those instances are probably limited, given the relative neighborhood-y feel to the bar, but with its proximity to the train station you never know. There's not much specifically identifiable as great about Olé Olé, but it's the culmination of everything about the place that just makes it generally lovable. The bartender gals are cheerful and charming, and even manage to have their own labeled beer as a result of their infamy. The patrons are chill, but friendly, so much so that we wound up back at the flat of one of the people we met at the bar to have some after-hours drinks and inevitably chat about global politics (some things never change). Pricing seemed decent, with 4 beers (I think) being about 25-30CHF. They only had the local beer Amboss on draft in two varieties, which was pretty mediocre, but still better than the Bud or Miller products you would find in a similar dive back in the U.S. This definitely feels like more of a shots or whiskey sipping kind of bar. The bathroom deserves its own special mention here, with some of the most odd / interesting decor I've ever seen, featuring a full size skeleton hovering over the toilet with a bouquet of flowers for a groin, and a machine that dispenses something called "Travel Pussy".

This is a very nice location to go out on a weekend and to have drinks…read more The bar is the beginning of the vibrant part of Langstrasse. The interior is nice and well decorated. The crowd is kinda down-to-earth till the a-wanna-be-a-hipster. The music is nice (alternative - Rock). Prices of drinks are OK. Normal prices for Kreis 4. Just pay attention, it is a narrow bar. It gets difficult when you are with more then 4 people. And you can not be outside because it is right at the street. For sure a place to go once in a while.

Checked back home already in case this happens and looked for an interesting Lounge. The Aspire Lounge looked the most interesting to us. So we headed there and paid the fee (we flew Economy). 48CHF per person was a fair deal. The Lounge has a nice size, not too big, not too small. And has a deck outside with great views over the airport and the airstrip. You can see some from inside as well. Staff was very friendly to us and entering the Lounge was a quick affair. Be aware that it depends how full and busy it is. You might be sent away as a walk-in in case the place is full. Which is understandable. There is a good number of magazins and newspapers, TV and free WiFi. But of course most come for the unlimited food and drinks. There were hot and cold dishes. Cheese and meat. Pasta and more. Some cakes and sweets. Snacks. Also different kind of bread, croissants. There was some liquor. White and Red Wine. Also good Prosecco. Beer, soda and water of course. Yes, we were in some Lounges with a bigger selection. But we just came to enjoy a bit of food and drink, to rest and relax a bit. And for that it was a fair deal offered here. We had a good time. And surely we'll be back again.

Not sure if it's just me but first time that no meat i.e. bacon or sausage for breakfast in any lounge that we've visited. We were expecting more since we're in Zurich. If this is a Swiss breakfast then color me surprised. The cool gazpacho and the hot beef stock soup were both excellent alternatives. But otherwise, the biz class lounge must have over a hundred people inside right now and you can hear a pin drop, that's how calm, quiet and civilized it is here. Take heed, American airports: no one will miss it if you turn off the blaring televisions set to CNN and treat the lounge experience like the Swiss do, once they step up their breakfast game.
