Going to the dentist is never fun. But Dr. Sehmi and her team do everything they can to make the experience better for their clients. They practice dentistry using up to date technology on all of the scanning machines to the cameras for the before and after shots. Dr. Sehmi is very knowledgeable and extremely meticulous in her craft, she genuinely wants to do a good job and make a difference with your smile. Her assistant is fantastic as well, she goes above and beyond what is typically required. In my case, it took multiple weeks and visits but I am so glad I chose this place.

If I could give them a ribbon, this would be it. #1

I've been a patient for almost two years, and my teeth honestly feel like they're at their absolute best. As an avid coffee drinker, having white teeth matters to me--and their Zoom whitening service is AMAZING. The results are noticeable and long-lasting, and the process was comfortable and professional from start to finish. Their sweet RDA, Sara, was incredibly helpful, patient, and thorough!! What really sets this office apart is how attentive and proactive they are. During my last cleaning with Jordan (who is an extraordinary hygienist, btw,) I mentioned that I had recently learned I have sleep apnea and that a C-PAP machine wasn't a good fit for me. Dr. Ardita Ormeni took the time to listen and then created a custom oral appliance to help me sleep better--life-changing care that goes well beyond routine dentistry. The entire staff is friendly, personable, and genuinely caring. The office is beautiful, spotless, and equipped with modern, up-to-date technology, which makes every visit comfortable and reassuring. If you're looking for exceptional dental care, a warm and welcoming team, and truly personalized treatment, I highly recommend Park Family Dental. Erica, my hygienist, educated me on my gum health, and noticed signs of wear on my teeth due to clenching; which I imagine I do when I'm sleeping. Erica took photos of each tooth, measured my gums, and validated that my oral hygiene practices at home are on par. During my examination, we saw signs of decay, and there was enough time in the schedule for me to start the process of placing a crown on my tooth. From the moment Dr. James numbed me to the moment my temporary crown was placed, I was treated with the utmost care. The team remembered my son, who visited not too long ago, and were as joyful and relatable as can be. They even offered me a cozy blanket during my procedure! I mean, who does that? Pecan Park Family Dentistry does! All in all, though it was my first time at their practice, I was made to feel like family. Like I was being taken care of by my girlfriends, and I am beyond grateful to have crossed paths with them!

After more than 10 years with this practice, I'm incredibly disappointed to be writing this…read more I'm autistic, and like many neurodivergent people, I struggle with scheduling and making it to appointments. I want to be clear: I am already deeply aware of this, and I feel embarrassed and awful when it happens. Nothing feels worse than standing at the garage door with my keys in hand, frozen, shaking, overwhelmed, and filled with guilt. This isn't carelessness or laziness, it's something I actively work to manage. I also understand that missed appointments affect a business, and I am willing to accept financial penalties when appropriate. I appreciate that Pecan Park Dental has waived some missed appointment fees for me in the past. However, my most recent experience felt shaming and dismissive of my disability, and I left in tears. The morning of a scheduled appointment, I was called and told my insurance would not cover the visit because I had hit my maximum. I was told I would need to pay $540 out of pocket for a routine cleaning. I could not afford that and chose to reschedule for a future date when my insurance would cover it. At that time, I was told I would still be charged a $100 late cancellation fee, even though this cost was only communicated to me the morning of the appointment. When I returned months later for the rescheduled visit, I tried to explain that this situation resulted from an insurance and communication issue. Instead of working with me, I was repeatedly pressured in the waiting room to pay the $100 fee. I explained multiple times that I did not have the money that day. I was asked for credit card information over and over, in front of my daughter and other patients. It was humiliating. I ended up crying in the office while still being asked for payment. When I later tried to explain the situation, I was sent a chart of my missed appointments. It felt less like an attempt to understand and more like an effort to reinforce guilt. That approach isn't helpful, it adds to the shame and makes it even harder to access care. Experiences like this are exactly why many neurodivergent people avoid healthcare altogether. It becomes easier to avoid appointments than to face anxiety, shame, and financial penalties. I don't believe this is about bad intent, but it reflects a system that prioritizes policies and revenue over patient-centered care and basic compassion. After more than a decade as a loyal patient, and bringing multiple family members to this practice, I expected more understanding and professionalism. Because of this experience, I will be moving my care, along with my family's care, to a different provider. I hope this practice reflects on how it communicates with and supports patients, especially those with anxiety, autism, or other neurodivergent needs. No patient should be made to feel this way while seeking care

This doctor is nonjudgmental, hyper aware and acute to anxieties, and GENUINELY CARES about your well being before, during and after your visit. I have never felt so incredibly looked after by any doctor. I had a really bad experience with my wisdom teeth being removed and a cracked tooth experience, and Dr. Cho went above and beyond to not only fix the prior dentists mistakes, but ensure I am safe happy and comfortable the entire time. Everyone there is so lovely and kind, I have recommended this dentist consistently and will continue to do so to anyone that will listen.

The next day during a follow up call from their office I told her about the broken tooth. The next week during my scheduled checkup, I reminded the doctor about the injured tooth and she made no attempt to examine it. Again, during my next scheduled visit 2 1/2 weeks later the tooth still wasn't examined. I felt this was very unprofessional and I had started losing trust and confidence in the doctor. I have been with a broken tooth for about a month now and can feel the gum around the tooth starting to swell. I also requested an itemized bill to show the billing codes and was made aware that the doctor billed me incorrectly twice. I was billed using the code 7210, which requires surgery opposed to the code 7140, which is a simple extraction. I called to dispute the charges but was told very rudely that the codes would not be changed and the charges were correct. At this point I lost all trust and confidence. I can only surmise this was done to me because I paid out of pocket and didn't use insurance. I have since obtained my dental records and have started to seek a doctor whom I feel is ethical and not just a salesperson wearing doctor scrubs. This was the worst dental experience of my life thus far!!

After neglecting my oral health for multiple years due to severe anxiety from a previous dental…read morepractice, I was told about this dental practice by one of my coworkers who recommended Dr. Pham. I made my initial appointment and was quickly brought back by Dr. Pham herself and she explained the whole initial visit to make sure I didn't have any concerns or anxieties from the beginning and also talked about what my main concerns were and what my oral health goals were. One of the tech's did my X-rays, which was also super quick even though it seemed like she was training someone! I was put in an exam room next and waited maybe 10 minutes and Dr. Pham came in and reviewed all of my X-rays and pictures with me. I knew my oral health wasn't great, but she did not talk down on me like previous dentists have before. She told me that I had 4 cavities as well as some gum damage and we talked about the options. Obviously with the cavities being the main concern, I opted to do the cavity repairs and fillings with the recommended deep cleaning at the same appointment to limit the appointments. Afterwards, a lady from the front desk came to my room and showed my the cost estimate with what my insurance was covering. Even with insurance, I did have to pay a little less than $1k BUT trust me, I needed it (I did call my insurance as well to verify the costs and coverage as well). I did let her know that I wouldn't be able to pay that all at once, so she immediately offered a payment plan which I appreciated. I went to my cleaning/cavity repair appointment today and I was in the office for about 3 hours, but I was being worked on for the full time, so there was not any long gaps of me just waiting around. Dr. Pham went really slow with my anxieties, especially with the numbing injections. When I told her mid-treatment that I was feeling some discomfort, she immediately stopped, injected more of the numbing medication and just moved to a different area. At checkout, they already had on file my payment arrangement and everything was good! This office has recently been renovated, all of the staff that I have came into contact with is professional and caring, and there is not "backdooring" with the prices, as they review the costs with you BEFORE doing any type of treatment.

Let's start with the inability to give this business ZERO stars! It's been a long time since I've…read morebeen absolutely scammed, but it seems this so-called dental clinic has perfected their complete scamming of patients. After reading other reviews, unfortunately post visit, my experience was almost identical. Having returned to Austin after a 16-year absence, I was looking for a new dentist. Both of my previous dentists had retired. Trails Dental was convenient, and since I only needed preventive maintenance and cleaning, I thought why not. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. I had given my insurance # to them in advance of the appointment and again at checkin. They had ample time to confirm coverage. ALSO, a sign at the entrance to the office promoted a $79 x-rays and cleaning offer. Wonder how many people have been scammed by that false advertising. After having a panoramic x-ray, followed by bitewings, then the hygienist (I presume, as 4 different women floated in and out during my time in the chair) proceeded to perform a 2D photographic image by placing a small hand-held wand like instrument in my mouth. Next came torture. A second person entered and began to aggressively poke my gums with a sharp instrument until I could taste nothing but blood. Rarely do my gums bleed. Not only was I gagging from the metallic taste, but no one ever offered water for me to wash out the blood. Then entered the dentist, Dr. Jessica Cicone, to explain everything. Not only did she tell me that I needed 3 crowns but that I also needed a deep cleaning. Keeping in mind that when I left my wonderful dentist in New Orleans, my teeth and gums were fine with her only keeping a watch on an old filling in one tooth, which ironically wasn't among the teeth that Trails wanted to crown. Cicone departed and in walked the 4th different person, this one to explain the costs. According to her, after insurance, my portion of the bill would be about $3,600. AGAIN, all I came in for was preventive maintenance and cleaning....covered 100% by my insurance. Declining to have the deep cleaning that day as I did not have a credit card with me, I asked for a routine cleaning. They REFUSED. That's like taking your car in for an oil change and the repairman finds a dozen other things. Even if you decline extra repairs, they still change the oil!! Insult on top of injury, the billing person detailed my portion of the crowns after insurance. Another big red flag, as I knew my policy didn't cover crowns. In the end, I left and immediately called my dental insurance company to confirm that they did not cover crowns. Nor does my policy cover deep cleaning or the 2D imaging--for which I've now received a bill for $408. At this point, my teeth still need cleaning, yet I have to either wait another 6-months to be covered by my insurance or pay out of pocket to see another dentist for x-rays and maintenance.
