Tried Swig for the first time today, there was a pretty decent line this afternoon so it must be a popular spot. Despite there being a line, it moved pretty quickly. The setup is similar to Dutch bros, they have a couple of employees outside taking orders in the line. They have an app so you can order ahead as well which is nice, but this location isn't showing up on the app yet - maybe that will be fixed soon since this location is still fairly new. I ordered the dirty little secret - it was good! Would definitely order it again. I noticed they sell little snackie things too - I haven't tried that part of the menu but it looked like there were some yummy items!

My family and I recently stopped by Swig in Land O' Lakes to see what all the buzz was about. These soda shops have been growing quickly thanks to the concept of "dirty sodas," where traditional sodas are mixed with flavored syrups, creams, fruit purées, and other add-ins to create unique drink combinations you wouldn't normally find at a standard fountain. We decided to make it a full family taste test and ordered several drinks along with a couple of their snacks. Drinks We tried Life's A Peach, Buttery Beer, Poppin Pineapple, and the Cloud 9 Reviver. Life's A Peach was built on a Dr Pepper base with peach syrup, vanilla, and half-and-half, giving it a creamy peach soda flavor that balanced really well with the classic Dr Pepper taste. It was smooth, sweet, and probably the most balanced drink we tried. The Buttery Beer is Swig's fun spin on the famous wizard-inspired drink. It's made with root beer mixed with butterscotch syrup and vanilla cream, creating a rich, dessert-like flavor that tastes very similar to a liquid butterscotch candy. If you like sweet, creamy drinks, this one is definitely for you. The Poppin Pineapple was probably the most visually fun drink of the group. It starts with a Sprite base mixed with pineapple and watermelon flavors, then gets topped with strawberry popping boba pearls. Those little pearls burst with juice when you bite them, which adds a cool texture and makes the drink feel a little more interactive and playful. My daughter ordered the Cloud 9 Reviver, which uses Swig's Reviver energy drink base rather than soda. The Cloud 9 blends blue raspberry, pineapple, coconut, and cream, giving it a fruity, slightly tropical flavor with a little caffeine kick. It was refreshing and lighter compared to the sweeter sodas. Overall, all the drinks were really good and it was fun trying the different combinations. It's easy to see why the concept has built such a strong following. Snacks We also ordered the Salted Pretzel Bites and Mini Chocolate-Chip Cookies. The pretzel bites were excellent. They reminded me a lot of the flavor and texture you get from Auntie Anne's--soft, warm, buttery, and perfectly salted. They paired really well with the drinks and were probably my favorite snack item. The mini chocolate-chip cookies were also very good. They tasted like little homemade cookies, soft with plenty of chocolate chips throughout. My only small wish is that they had been served warm because that would have taken them to another level, but even served cold they were still soft, fresh, and delicious. Overall Swig turned out to be a really fun stop for the whole family. The service was fast and friendly. Between the creative drink combinations and the solid snack options, it's a unique concept that stands out from typical coffee or dessert shops. If you're in the Land O' Lakes area and curious about the dirty soda trend, it's definitely worth stopping in and trying a few combinations for yourself.

Strawberry breeze with not one strawberry in it! O paid extra for strawberry balls and it had like 5 in the whole drink

The nuggets were perfectly sweet and a generous portion. The icing was delish too! Also ordered the pretzel dog with cheese and bacon. I would not order this again, but I would try one of the stuffed sandwiches. The outside layer of pretzel dog was great and you get two dogs that are large enough to share. The inside was doughy in spots and the bacon was the mushy shelf stable type. We ordered with light salt but the entire combination was entirely too salty. If you don't like overly salty, consider ordering without salt. Also not a big fan of the cheese sauce. Tastes like canned nacho cheese to me. We'll give it another try and stop by to order next time. I think there are more options in store than thru DD?

We decided to order a bunch of options to cut up and share (a method I recommend!). We tried The Royal, The King, The Endangered and The Cheesy Galapagos, and for dessert we opted for the Apple Pie and Cinnamon Sugar Nuggets. Everything was tasty, and I'm glad I got to try a few things, but my favorite was hands-down The Royal - a surprise since I usually gravitate toward chicken. The Cinnamon Sugar Nuggets were also a big hit with the group. Now that I've tried the standards, I'd love to go back when they have specials (their Instagram account showed a turkey and cranberry stuffed pretzel around Thanksgiving that looked delicious!).

A bartender greeted me and gave me water. For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. I am glad I chose this place again as it was near my hotel. Definitely coming back for more great bar food at reasonable prices. Overall: A

I got everything except for sitting outside, but that's just because I was too stuck on watching the game, lol. But I am so glad that I sat at the bar because the bartenders were very nice and knowledgeable. They let me know items that were their favorite and I definitely will continue to trust their opinions because the food was so good! I had cheese curds, and those are probably the best cheese curlers I've had! The wings were also good too, but in my opinion, they were fraud a little bit too hard. I had the blueberry beer and that was really good too, and not overly sweet or dry mm and I had a sangria which hit the spot. I'll definitely be back on football Sundays and will sit in the beer garden next time

Relaxed atmosphere that works well for a casual meal. We'll definitely be back for the food specials.
