The contractors who initially built our shower were not competent and Lonnie was very helpful in pointing out the problems with how it was built, while we were soliciting bids. Thank goodness he did, because it prompted us to get our shower rebuilt which saved us from potentially even worse problems we found out later on. There were some delays getting the glass due to supply chain issues, but A to Z was good about updating us on the status of when the glass was going to be completed and ready for installation. Once they had the glass ready, A to Z showed up promptly and had the job completed in a day. From a price perspective, they were about right in the middle of all the bids we solicited, which is worth it when you know you're getting good, quality work done. Their quote was more expensive than the other two by about a few hundred dollars, but I went with them based on a few online recommendations. It took several weeks for the parts to be delivered. After the parts arrived, the crew arrived and did a professional looking but incomplete install because someone apparently forgot to order some parts (some clamps/hinges) that were needed to complete the install. The crew told me the parts would take a while to arrive. In the meantime, the office staff emailed me and mailed an invoice for the full amount. I pointed out that they hadn't completed the job, and they demanded 90% of the payment instead. I pointed out that our agreement was not for 90% of a shower, it was for a COMPLETE install. They repeated their demand for 90% payment. Fairly unprofessional behavior from the administrative staff: failing to order the correct parts, scheduling an incomplete install, then demanding payment before completion of the job.

The quality of work and the install team were great. I'm very happy with the results. And the price couldn't be beat. at least 500-1k lower than any other quote. However their service left a lot to be desired: Between taking field measurements and having the glass installed it took almost 6 weeks. The delays were (to be fair) out of their control, but they did not communicate with me at all. I had to be the one to reach out each time and kept getting the same generic "We'll have an answer for you by EOD" and then nothing for days where I again would have to reach out for information. This happened multiple times. They also were supposed to contact me when on the way to take field measurements, they did not. Luckily I had workers at my house to let them in. No one ever contacted me while on site, I got a notification from my ring camera and had to call the crew to let them in. And again I heard nothing from them until I reached out a week later to get an update. They were an hour and 15min late to the agreed upon install time. I once again had to call them to get an update. After all the delays this was just one more thing to deal with. The install crew were very nice and did a wonderful job. No one has reached out to apologize or make any kind of reparations for all the issues. They just charged my card on file for the rest of the amount. Didn't even send me a follow up email or receipt. (You pay 1/2 up front and 1/2 after the install is complete).
