I have been charged for a membership without my knowledge since August. not to mention the service is horrible and you're paying way too much money for your car to be dirtier than when you entered. can't use the vacuums because they're all broken and I have never once seen a clean towel to dry my car with. I was on my way to pick up an important client, and I needed to have my car cleaned in a hurry. I bought the "Major Clean" and went through the car wash drive, thinking my car would be Marjory cleaned. However when my car was finished being "cleaned", there was still bird poop on two parts of my car. For a stain so common on a car, you would think that the $27.00 "major clean" would get it done. I was embarrassed in front of my client and I'm never going back to Swifty. I'll be going to Express Clean from now on, and you should too! read more

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews on this place. It's quite a good carwash. The carwash is automatic, and like all car-washes it's full of upsells. Annoying, sure, but price separation is also the only way you're going to get an automatic carwash for $10 bucks. If there's a place out there that charges $20 for a flat rate without any annoying up-sell, I'd pay it I guess, but I've not seen one. The auto car-wash is pretty standard, nothing special, but the vaccum stations are really top notch. Free, with the carwash. Very powerful, well maintained equipment, with thoughtful design of the hose extensions and parking bays. They also have well maintained stations with spray bottles and micro-fiber cloths for spot cleaning interior windshields and such. It's a good place, and I recommend it. read more

I left my Forester car mats two of them at the car wash. They said they left them out there for 45 minutes and after that they throw them away because they have no room for storage so my advice to you is never leave your car mats there and I canceled my membership. that is some of the worst customer service I have ever had to just toss someone's expensive floor mats. read more

If you visit this car wash, DO NOT ORDER THE $7 BASIC WASH. It's simply soap, water, and some weak fabric rollers. I ordered the basic wash and was left with a half-cleaned car (dirt still all over the too and rear of car) with soap spots all over it. I spoke with one of the friendly attendants and asked if I could ride through again or get a refund. After speaking with his manager, he informed me that they don't offer refunds or second wash for the basic wash. I was told the upgraded washes are more reliable. I usually get the $7 basic wash at Jet Carwash Express on highway 29 N. They do a better job, have stronger vacuums, and provide free microfiber towels with cleaning supplies. A basic wash should still leave you with a completely cleaned car, that's the whole point of a car wash. read more

I went through this car wash many times, the staff always failed to take off my car's antenna, which I thought was odd since every other car wash does. One day, after failing to take off my antenna, it completely messed up the antenna and where it was in my car. Essentially, it drilled a hole into my car. Thankfully, the manager on duty was very helpful and took pictures and filed a claim and let me know the district manager would reach out with more info. The district manager's email was entirely vague and lacked a reason for why they would be providing me with no compensation for the damage on my car. Don't come here! read more

Car exterior is satisfactory.... Was very disappointed to have paid and pulled around to the self cleaning station to ONLY FIND a bottle of glass cleaner spray bottle! Do not recommend! Customer should be made aware that ONE product is offered PRIOR to payment. Btw, I'm from Chattanooga and we are offered glass and interior cleaning products as well as deodorizer products! The car wash is cheap and they make sure the car is clean before you leave. My wife's car got bombed by bird poop, she paid for the $6 basic with presoak. The poop was still there when we came out so they had us circle around, scrubbed the poop off, and sent us through again. There's no poop now! read more

I drive for Uber, so I've been looking for a regular place to wash my car. I've tried pretty much every place in Athens. This is, by far, the worst one. The absolute worst. They charge more than every other place and yet give so much less. To start, every other place has someone brush the dirtiest spots on the car before you go in the machine. Not here, I thought they must have some great machine. Nope, the car was still dirty in those tough spots everyone else scrubs first. The back, particularly was awful. And it was soaked. The blow dryer there sucks horrendously. My car was soaked and still dirty. And they don't provide towels. Something most of the others do. I carry my own because of the one other place that doesn't provide them. The vacuums are not all working and have really short tubes that make reaching everywhere in the car really hard. Had to change spots 3x to get all of it vacuumed. Well, not all of it, I got so angry and frustrated I had to leave. I needed to vent and a place with all the negatives this place has does not even deserve my energy, insofar as lodging a complaint there with management. There was nothing good to say about this place. I'll never go back and my windshield is cracked. Can't prove it was here, but it wasn't cracked before. Go here if you want to be charged more than any other place for the worst service in town. read more

I went and paid $25 dollars and got out at the vacuums and the vehicle was just as dirty as before I went through the wash I could literally still rub the dirt from the outside but hey the windshield wash clean. Good value! They provide thick paper towels and glass cleaner. Some vacuums do not work very well (weak suction); just make sure you pull beside a station that has a good vacuum. You can also clean your mats- they have one of those mat cleaning machines. I brought my own mat cleaning solution then ran it through their machine. read more

I really needed to get my car washed in Athens. I usually get my car done while I'm home on breaks, but it was just getting particularly dirty with pollen season and I wanted to clean it up. I paid seven dollars for a basic watch which pretty did absolutely nothing. I didn't know that you had to pay for microfiber cloths or anything to clean the interior of your car in addition, so for four dollars, I got travel sized glass wipes and these sponges to clean the inside of my car. I'm leaving the car wash honestly feeling like my car is not much cleaner than before. I would not recommend this place. Overpriced and not convenient enough for the price. read more

I was surprised to visit today and see not a single employee wearing a mask or even having a mask nearby to put on as customers approached. When you pull, up an employee approaches the car and helps you choose the service you want. When I visited, the young female employee came right up to my car without a mask. I asked why she didn't have one and she replied "I don't wear a mask because it's uncomfortable with this earpiece I have to wear" (to communicate with the other employees). I asked her to please step away from my car and she did. The employees running the car wash did not have masks either. Also, there were only 5 working vacuums. I will not be going back. read more

It's a good wash, but be careful about joining the club. I did, and then 2 out of 3 times I stopped for a wash they were closed due to weather. Then they were closed due to remodeling...In April I asked to stop membership via phone call and they continued charging me. Only now, after 6 months, have I finally (I hope) got them to stop the charges. When I spoke personally with the Site Manager, she told me I was supposed to go online and fill out a form to stop the membership...uh, that was the first I knew anything about an online form...at the same time SHE did not know she has a FACEBOOK page for Swifty Car Wash of Athens. I have just informed their corporate office, who ALSO did not know that the FB page has been up for ... over a year??? Great marketing folks they hired...lol! THE WORST CAR WASH! Starting with my car wash, I got some sort of tire shine and it left black goop all over my wheels that i had to wipe off. Not sure why that's a service if it's something that leaves your wheels looking worse than when you came in. Then i wasn't using my membership enough so i cancelled it on a different wash... turns out they don't even have the capacity here to cancel your membership so i'm not sure why they told me they could. I kept getting charged and when they closed I still got charged... if you are CLOSED for service, you should not be charging. The customer service rep told me there was a membership extension for that that i had to ask for... and I asked her how I was supposed to know about that and she told me they would tell me in person... so they have no way of contacting customers to let them know about important things like closing (and i wasn't coming in because i thought it was cancelled). Horrible horrible business practices and below average car washes. AVOID this place read more

After spending three years in Athens, I still have not found an Oil Change place that has suited my fancy. Quik N EZ oil change got the job done, but I don't think I will return. My oil change was nearly $40 and it felt like they did much less than other oil change places. For instance, he was not going to check my tire pressure until I insisted that he check the tire pressure. When I am paying $40 for a 10 minute service I expect them to give my car a once over checking the tire pressure, brakes, wipers, lights, filter and other simple items. The staff was friendly, but they did not do a good job of explaining the different service levels or oil choices. The real upside to getting your oil changed at Quik N Ez Oil Change is the free car wash. Because I got synthetic oil they gave me two free car washes($14 apiece). The car was seemed to be high quality and my car was drive when I drove out. My only critique of the carwash was that the vacuums had low pressure and seemed to spit out what was sucked in. I would not recommend using the vacuum until they resolve this issue. read more

Overall the car wash is good. I mainly go to use the free vacuum. I only get the six dollar car wash because the upgrades don't seem to clean the car any better. It is worth going to spend six dollars for a decent car wash and great vacuum. read more

2 times in a row when I have taken my car through this car wash, it has come unhooked inside of the machine. The last time I had to lay on the horn because there was a car coming behind me and the employees wouldn't get off their butts and notice. After they finally noticed and shut off the washer, they just had me drive out without finishing the wash. The car was half covered in soap and no one said anything about it. The employees here are as lazy as they come. I also noticed when I got home that because they had not turned off the machine sooner, my car was covered in scratches from sitting under the brushes. I will never go there again and make sure that all of my friends know how horrible the service is. read more

And for those who like details, hope this is helpful: I have been a returning customer since 2011, because I absolutely love and swear by this place! Finally writing a review because after 4 years of nothing but positive experiences, they've more than earned it. The other reason I felt compelled to review is: while getting my routine oil change at the "Quik N Easy" garage today, I learned that ownership recently 'cleaned house,' according to new management. I was definitely surprised at first, but ultimately very IMPRESSED with the results of their 'clean-up'. In addition to all-new management and employees, they're now sporting: 1. 'updated customer service'--employees now use iPads to scan the VIN # when checking customers in, etc. 2. expanded and upgraded service offers--like, for example, high mileage oil change options ranging from 5, 10, & 15K miles 3. WIDE variety of new discounts--(well, I think they're ALL new because I don't remember them offering ANY discounts before...) but now, customers who work in healthcare, military, public safety, education, etc. can claim a certain % discount offered per their occupation (these are just the few I can remember him saying this afternoon) 4. as well as new mail-in-rebates that accompany purchases of a considerable majority of their products and services. I've always really liked this place, and for the past 4 years (which have included 3 separate vehicles, foreign/domestic, SUV/coupe) I have come here, and only here, for every single oil change, carwash, AC filter replacement, and a bunch of other random and/or general maintenance. Management switch is new and still fresh, but they seem promising enough for me to confidently say that I'll continue to bring all of my vehicle maintenance/service business exclusively to them. I highly recommend this business to you, yes you: the reader, fellow informed consumer, and fellow 'Yelper.' Even though you are just as much of a stranger to me as I am to you, trust me on this; I would NOT have put this amount of time into a drive-in garage/drive-thru carwash review if the praise was not 100% EARNED. But, I am still a stranger, and there is absolutely no guarantee that my experiences are indicative as to how yours may ultimately be...but there's only one way for you to find out! Additionally, even though I'm only just now writing a review with high reccomendation to the Yelp community after 4 years of patronage, this is certainly not the first time I've shared my satisfaction. When I entered the office to set an appointment for someone to shampoo the carpet of my car, I was greeted at the door by a dog (no, not a bulldog) who began to growl and bark at me with the hair on it's back raised. This place is very well maintained and any time there is a problem they are quick to fix it. The vacuum's always work great and I love the rug machines. $6 for a basic wash and they have a pre wash station to use for your rims and other areas that need more attention before the wash. read more
