We entered into contract with this company in December of 2018 to install a new roof which included…read morea ridge vent (for ventilation). On the day the new roof was installed we arrived home from work after dark to a dumpster filled with old roofing material and on the top of the pile was quite a few empty beer cans and beer boxes, I knew this was a bad sign so I took photos of this. 3 months later the entire roof leaked because they forgot to put the water and ice barrier down. They also did not install the ridge vent (we questioned this via email and the owners response was he couldn't because of the pitch of the roof which is rediculous, you can put a ridge vent on any roof!) Due to the lack of ventilation it caused black mold in the entire attic. They came to fix it by installing the water/ice barrier material that they forgot to put on in march of 2019 but still did not install a ridge vent which is needed to vent air into the attic. I repeatedly voiced my concerns to the owner about the mold and he emailed me that it wasn't mold, just algae and it would dry up. Its now 14 months later (and we now have become very educated on roof ventilation) after several emails back and fourth to the owner and a final phone call to him which he became extremely belligerent, told me it's not his fault and told me to F off and hung up on me. We now have hired a very expensive mold abatement company and also had to pay a new professional roofing contractor to install a ridge vent which was in my contract with JS&R Roofing. Such a nightmare!!!

So it was a bit of an emergency situation. Valli responded quickly and brought a third-party professional who had a scope that could be put down into the drain system to locate the underground problem. They moved quickly to start and complete the repair which involved removing large boulders and other fill material, installing new drain pipe, and properly backfilling and grading. They also coordinated with a third-party paver who we paid directly. Since Valli pulled together everyone needed to bring the project together, it was easy for us. The work was professional, and they were nice to work with.

Originally the insurance company claimed that only half of the roof needed to be replaced, but Chris identified and explained why the damage had been more severe than originally thought. That kind of attention to detail and consultative service is what drew me to work with Millstream and Chris in the first place. In very short order, he had a team at the house and in a single day had completed work. It was so well done that I used them to install gutters on top of the roof work, which was equally as flawless. Things that stood out to me: - Service was outstanding - taking time to explain the why and how behind the what they were going to do. - Proactive and anticipatory consulting that made the job painless for me - Easy to work with - I could communicate with him via a variety of channels (email, phone, text) which made the job easier to manage. I wholeheartedly recommend this company if you need someone reliable and trustworthy.

I will now recommend Millstream to others for roofing projects, but just be aware that they might use subcontractors. I hope the company they use will learn from their past mistakes.

Yes, Five Stars. Look at the other reviews, they're Five Stars too…read more This is a great company and easy as heck to work with. A few years ago I contacted them to clean my gutters but also install gutters on my garage. They sent me an estimate electronically, I signed the contract and they did the job shortly thereafter. Aside from the clean (and new) gutters, you wouldn't have even known they were at my house. This year I needed the gutters cleaned again and didn't hesitate to contact RIO. Oh and RIO sent me a reminder via email, reminding me that I should get my gutters cleaned but also giving a list of their other services (power washing, roof washing, tree services). Again I was able to engage them via their website, received the quote quickly, approved it, scheduled the date. Well the date came and they guys didn't come out but Gabriel called me saying that they got hung up on another job and it was getting late and dark out and he said he didn't want them to do my job in the dark (makes sense). He said that the guys could get hurt or miss some clean up. I appreciated that. A quick reschedule occurred. I really, really dig the electronic contract, quote, appointment and such. That's my kind of contractor. Check them out. I think you'll hire them too.
