I went to vaccinate my 8-year-old son for the flu, a nurse who managed to upset him and did not allow himself to be vaccinated was very bad, she called another nurse to help him, who treated him worse violently forcing him to vaccinate him, my son is autistic, they think, feel and see everything differently, these 2 people should not take care of children, it is better for them to go home to annoy their family, I felt that they discriminated against my son Because I am Hispanic, I clarify that it is my son's clinic and this has never happened, it has always been very good care read more

I took my son here for about a year and I wanted to believe it would turn out better each time but honestly it got worse with each visit. They misdiagnosed him twice with simple things, and the staff was generally rude. I never felt welcomed. It really seemed like they were all miserable to be at work. Plus, the office was rarely busy and we always had to wait. (Even a well check took 45 minutes). I would look and find somewhere else if I was doing things again. We've been using Swift Creek Pediatrics for the past five years. I have a teen daughter that feels comfortable talking to Dr. Wilms because she talks to her like she understands what she is feeling. They have a quick wait time so it actually means something when you schedule an appointment with them. They don't rush you in and out which that means a lot. We couldn't be happier. I haven't had any issues with the front office. They always do a great job answering the phone, scheduling my appointments and helping me when I need something faxed or scanned. Just this week I called and within 5 minutes the paperwork was in my inbox. That's excellent customer service. read more

I have been taking my daughters to Dr Bantle since we moved here in 2006. We have seen every Dr and NP in the practice through the years with excellent care being provided every time. The ladies in the front office have been extremely helpful as well, school protocols with specific forms and many other things that we have needed through the years. Thank you Julia, Kelly, Dr. Bantle, Dr. Cantor, Dr. Willims and all the wonderful nurses through the years. I can't imagine the many different medical situations and other challenges you have to deal with on a daily basis. You all have contributed to the good health and well being of my children which is a priceless! read more

the only reason I'm not giving this place a one star is because of Dr Bantle. However, Dr Cantor is the most rudest doctor I have ever dealt with. As a first time mom, I of course have a lot of questions/concerns and a lot of things can be scary. Dr Cantor is very dismissive and gaslights you into thinking that you're bothering her for doing her job as a doctor when you have questions about your little one. You can educate patients or parents, but don't be dismissive and make them feel stupid or like they're taking up your time because a baby is colicky or has a bad rash. I went in today because my 5 week old baby has a terrible rash which she says is baby acne and the first thing she said as soon as she saw me was again? As if me coming into the office was taking up her time. If you're going to work in the medical field, please be more empathetic especially when it comes to new parents with their little ones. We're learning a lot of new things that may not be a big thing to doctors, but are very worrisome to us as first timers. At this time, I will continue to see Dr Bantle but it's getting to the point where i might as well find another practice that is more empathetic and cares about the parents concerns. read more

I have taken my children here since babies. The last few times I have been disappointed by the service. We always love the care we would get from the doctor and nurse practitioner but but the last few times we were treated like a number on paper. My most recent visit for my son we were taken in weighed and all the usual check in stuff then put in a room where we waited over an hour with no one checking on us to let us know they were running behind or anything like that just forgotten. I was forced to leave and make an appointment with a different doctor. I was as polite as I could be when letting them know that we just couldn't wait any longer we had other appointments to make but they just responded with ok. Not really the best way to run a business. I hate cutting ties with them but we will not be going back. read more

This was posted on their "old" Facebook page near the time it happened- no response from them. Everyone needs to know how awful they are!!** I went here in November 2015 with my first child. I picked here because the staff at the hospital recommend them & I liked what Dr. Cantor had written online. It states online she likes working with first time moms- WRONG! First the paper work I was given about this practice had an incorrect address on it & so did Google (I reported this as incorrect & has since been fixed with Google). I was headed to the practice & was running late (I didn't plan ahead with a newborn- first time mom mistake) I happen to ask where they were located in the St. Francis Hospital grounds. The receptionist was very rude & told that they were no longer located near St. Francis Hospital. I asked for their address & the receptionist gave it to me but then explained that I would have to reschedule my daughters appointment if I was later than 15mins. I explained to her that I was given the wrong address & that Googles was incorrect as well - she then reiterated herself about the 15 minute policy. (I completely understand this policy but they should have some sort of flexibility with first time moms) Once there the receptionist that checked us in was super sweet (definitely not who I spoke with on the phone) & got us taken care of. Once we were taken in the back (the very last room down the hallway) I then undressed my child & the nurse scooped her up & started to head out of the room without telling me where they were taking my child. I stopped her & it was explained to me that she needed to weigh her & the scale is in another room. I told her I was going with her & the nurse seemed upset that I was tagging along. Once Dr. Canter came into the room she was very rude with all of the question I had (less than 10 questions & one of the question was about my daughter only making one wet diaper a day) & she then explained that my daughter had lost too much weight. I had started breastfeeding her differently & thought that she had been getting more since I had made a change. I was told I needed to schedule a weight check for the end of the week. Dr. Cantor then told me that the one wet diaper a day was normal. At my second appointment the nurse that took me back was absolutely amazing & very very sweet. She asked me if it was okay to take my daughter to the other room to get weighed & if I wanted to go with her. I explained to the nurse that my daughter at that point (after 4pm) had not had a wet diaper in 22hours. The nurse seem very concerned then my daughter peed on her. The nurse said her urine was very concentrated. When Dr. Cantor came into the room she explained to me that my daughter had lost more weight & she wanted me to pump to see how much breast milk I was producing. Dr. Cantor wanted me to make sure my daughter was getting 2 oz at every feeding. So if I was not producing 2 oz I needed to add formula to the breast milk make it 2 oz. Dr. Cantor wasn't concerned about my daughter not producing a wet diaper often. After arriving home I pumped & found out I wasn't even producing an oz from both breast combined. So I added the formula in with my breast milk. My poor daughter drank it so fast. About 10 minutes after she finished feeding she became listless... Then non-responsive but was breathing. After a traumatic ambulance trip to the hospital it was determined that my daughter system had been pretty much shocked because she wasn't getting enough milk from me & then was fed formula. Dr. Cantor should have taken the one wet diaper every 24 hours as a clue that she wasn't getting the proper nutrients from me. Like I said... I am a new mom, this also should have been taken into consideration. I feel completely let down. I could have really hurt my daughter. I will never return. I wish I could give no stars. read more

The staff should smile more....it's almost as patients are an inconvenience when they are in there. Always feeling rushed...I like the location and we mostly go for check ups and the occasional ear infections but I really feel like a $ when we walk in instead of someone genuinely looking to help us. read more

I have been taking my two sons for about 5 years. I now take my 3rd child who was born earlier this year. I've never been fond of the staff at the front desk as they have never been friendly. Especially considering this is a pediatric office. They never smile and never say more than they absolutely have to. I've kept going because of the convenient location and for the most part the doctors are friendly and very informative. However, after this morning i will never take my kids there again. I called at 1030 to take my daughter in and was told the doctor was leaving early so they can't see her. Their hours are 8-12 on Saturday. So unprofessional and out right rude. read more

I will never go back! I have been going here since my 8 year old was born! I called today to get a copy of my 22 month olds immunization records and was told she's missed her 15 and 18 month vaccinations!! They didn't even call or tell me as they've always done before when I was there last! I've been there twice for sick visits and no one said one word! She's supposed to start a new daycare Monday and now idk what to do because I can't take off Monday to take her in as my boss is out of town! Dr. Cantor could not be more professional, honest and caring. I trust her whole heartily with my two daughters and their care. My girls have been patients of hers for 7 years now and she has proven herself and her skill over and over again. Hands down the best pediatrician in Midlothian. read more

They suck honestly. Some doctors are better than others there though. When my baby was a newborn we picked a place nearby that had good reviews online. It was fine for vaccines and just your everyday questions but if you ever really need anything or call the on call doctor they act very annoyed or like you are just a dumb new mom. They don't take you or your child seriously at all. I, as a new mom, researched everything online myself and got a lot of advice from other moms and it was no big deal. I didn't switch doctors because of convenience. BUT the finally straw, other than them always just seeming like they don't really give a crap, was when I went in there with my 1 year old who had been up for 2 nights and 3 days now screaming and had a constant fever no matter how many meds we gave him and they basically said oh it's just a virus and "it happens." They did check his ears and said they're fine. Checked his throat but did not even do a swab test. I left. They Offered no advice. Said to come back next week if fever continues. This was a Tuesday and he had already had a fever of 103 everyday for 3 days. Next week? He'd be in the hospital by that pt. Day 4, it got so bad he wasn't eating or drinking. Still high fever that was barely phased by meds. Took him to Kid Med and they had to clear wax out of his ears to even see clearly, which doc at swift creek said nothing about. He had an ear infection! Kid med seems shocked that the other doctors didn't see that. And the nurse seemed shocked that they didn't test for strep throat or anything while at swift creek. Just took our $ and sent us on our way without EVEN a care. I'm not exaggerating when I say one of the docs comes in the room yawning everytime and just stays on her laptop non-stop, and seems like she literally doesn't care at all. Horrible Practice, please do not take your child here! When my son was 10 months old he had a seizure in the middle of the night, we rushed him to the ER and it was determined that he had a fibril seizure. The ER told me to make sure I saw my Pediatrician that day (it was after Midnight when we were seen by the ER). I made an appointment with Dr Cantor for that day, just as the ER had said. When we arrived the nurse took us back and got all the details, as soon as she heard we had been seen by the ER within the same 24 hour period she rushed out of the room. She then returned 10 minutes later saying Dr Cantor wouldn't see us that day b/c Insurance doesn't usually pay for 2 visits within 24 hours. I was extremely upset that Dr Cantor wouldn't see him. Luckily my mom was with me and watched my son while I called my insurance company, which verified that they had never heard of that "rule". Hung up with the insurance company and gave the nurse the info, she then went back out to Dr Cantor and relayed the info. Still she wouldn't see us until we had a pre-authorization number from the insurance company. So I went back on the phone, got the pre-authorization number and gave it to the front desk. Since it took 45 minutes for all this to happen, I was informed that DR Cantor didn't have time for me anymore and I would have to reschedule. I refused and they told me I could wait. So we waited for over an hour and finally we were seen. Dr Cantor was completely rude and said I was over reacting to the seizures. We were sent home with no orders and just a blanket statement that my son was fine. Less the 2 hours later my son was being rushed to the ER in an ambulance having another set of seizures, which resulted in lots of testing and a few days in the hospital. My son is ok now, but it was a scary week, turns out it was all caused by his fevers, the result of an ear infection missed by Dr Cantor. read more

I like that there is short wait times and they are flexible with scheduling when my child is sick. However; they have a newer receptionist who is fairly inhospitable. She was really rude to me in person and on the phone. When I scheduled an appointment over the phone she sighed as if I was inconveniencing her. I really like the doctors so I will continue to go there. read more

If you take your child here and see Dr. Cantor you will be disrespected, belittled, and dismissed. It will be a miracle if she even glances in the general direction of your child or spends more than 20 seconds in the room with you. read more

I take both of my girls to Swift Creek Pediatrics one is 4 she sees Dr. Cantor. When she was an infant we were in and out of the office frequently. We primarily saw Dr. Cantor for ear infections and GI issues during those frequent visits. She is very sweet and to the point most days, I have a pediatric background so sweet and to the point is what I like. But just like any other provider of you have questions you should write them down and bring a list. My youngest is 6 weeks and she sees Dr. Wilms. She was the doctor on call when I had her so we just decided to stick with her. She is very sweet and attentive which some parents need more than others! She tries to be very thorough with all of your questions or concerns. We have seen Dr. Bantle for sick visits and she is great as well!! We really like the practice with the exception of the receptionist who has been there for a few years now she is very short on the phone and very rude in person. For that reason I give them 4 stars! The doctors are all great and we really enjoy not waiting long wait times to be brought back and to be seen. All the nurses are fabulous and Kathy is the master of giving vaccines quick and easy! Sick visits are easy to make and get in the office same day. Did I mention their new office is beautiful and very fun for the kids! read more
