I had an extreme lack of mobility, and my pain was at about a 7 or 8 every day. I was limping around at age 36 like a much older person. At that point I had tried everything - tons of physical therapy, 4 different trainers, chiropractors, massage...nothing worked. When I began with Sumair, I couldn't do much of anything. I mean, I had zero range of motion and very little strength. If you're feeling self conscious or scared, please don't let that stop you, we have all been there, and I would argue that is where TrainLifeFit really shines. Sumair has built TLF to be a holistic program. What makes it so great is that it is a body/mind/emotions program. What does it matter if you can do a proper push up if your mind has been programmed to believe that you CAN'T do things because you "just don't have the body for it"? Because I am petite and small, that's what I had been told. I'd also been told that my pain was just my "new normal," and to get used to it, so Sumair also had to help me overcome my sad sad sad mental programming about my body. He also taught me about mechanics and how to recognize what was going on with my body. That understanding was reinforced through the homework he gave me, so now I have the ability to identify what's happening and work through it on my own. That's important for the other days when I'm not training with him, and I cannot overstate how much it improved my relationship with my body. I now understand it and know what it needs. So my result is, less than a year later, my pain is at about a 1. I have gained significant strength, stability and muscle mass. My winter coat didn't fit this year because my arms and back had gotten bigger! My mobility is excellent and I have recently begun to run again, an activity I had been told wasn't available for me anymore. But most importantly, I trust my body. I know it is capable of much more than I had been told. I understand it, I have a vocabulary to describe what is happening with it, and I no longer treat it like an annoying employee by getting frustrated when it doesn't do what I say. It's the kind of place that makes you want to go harder. Only real downsides: the water fountain was out of order, and there's not much in the way of cardio equipment. There is a nice shower amenity. The best thing about TCS is the coaching staff! This place is not a lift as heavy as you can as many times as you can no matter how you do it or what it does to your body. Elliott, Kristina, and Travis are passionate about helping people learn correct technical form to avoid injury, and they are all really good at adjusting workouts to make them work for you even if you have pre-existing injuries. I have been going to Dane's now for ~6 months. I had been going to a Crossfit gym for years, but…read moredecided I wanted to make a change. The class programming at Dane's is setup so that you generally have 1-2 warm up sessions, possibly a strength session, then there will be 1-2 high-intensity sessions, and finally a "fusion" (cool-down/stretching) session. Everyday is different - you'll never do the same boring warm-up or cool-down routine. The coaches are fantastic. For the first half of 2017 I wasn't able to workout after breaking my ankle playing "bubble soccer" (note to self: don't play bubble soccer again). When I finally was ready to get back at it, I decided to give Dane's a try. The coaches were super understanding and helped me find substitute movements when needed. They're quick to make recommendations on form and technique improvements. Class size is generally between 8-15 students, so I rarely have an issue with getting personal attention if needed. They have a decent amount of equipment, but occasionally you may run into issues with too few dumbbells. Classes are not uber competitive. You don't write your time down or number of reps on the wall. You're competing against yourself. They offer several types of classes and the monthly subscription includes them all: Strength, Fusion and Yoga. The members at Dane's are fun and they host a lot of events. These run the gamut from impromptu post workout happy hours, to "Push-Pull" events, to fun charity events like "Burpees for Bros." If you're looking for a great place to workout with good programming, great coaches, and a fun community, then I would strongly recommend giving Dane's a try.

Not the best but solidly up there…read more Tons of racks and platforms for lifters (and eleiko gear), tons of 'functional' equipment like KBs, TRX, Nordic bench, med balls, dead balls, sleds, etc. would like if they had sandbags tho. Cardio room is fine but cramped with 2 rowers, 1 air bike, 3 skiergs, and like 5 treadmills. There are more cardio machines by the entrance as well. Tons of weights but surprised to not see any 2.5 lb plates. Maybe I just couldn't find them, but I didn't see a single one. Edit: found the 2.5s but they're very few and far between. Equipment is nice and they have enough to get 90% of what you want done, but so many chest machines? I wish we could have more cable towers as the cable section is always cramped. They got a GHD tho which is super cool. Great snacks and merch too.
