It went well with the chips. the only complaint was the ratio of chips was drastically more than the salad! - BBQ and Raw Oysters: you can taste the freshness! - Blackened Grilled Local Rock Cod: came with a salad and bread. it was perfectly seasoned and not overcooked.

They have a seafood market nearby and a restaurant where they serve seafood + fish sandwiches and chowder. Ordering is easy at the window and then you get a placecard to put on your table if you're dining in. They have only a few seats inside but there is a fairly big tent area with heat lamps that was comfortable enough to dine in. Luckily we were visiting during dungeness crab season and they had a special of a 1/2 dungeness crab plate which we grabbed along with a crab sandwich + a cup of lobster bisque on the side. It was a cold and rainy day so we also got 2 cups of hot apple cider which turned out to be delicious with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Simple but turned out to be exactly what we needed as we waited for our food. I loved the lobster bisque which had a nice sweetness and didn't feel too heavy. It was great with the salty oyster crackers and I ended up dipping the cold crab sandwich in the bisque. The crab plate was good as well with plenty of meat in the crab. It was served with cole slaw, buttered bread and melted butter on the side to make it a full meal. I only wish the bread was warm as well. Great spot for a casual lunch in Mendocino. I wish the weather was nicer so we could enjoy the view more but would definitely come back the next time I'm in Mendocino.

Absolutely Excellent! I keep saying this is one of my favorite restaurant experiences of all time…read more Our waitress Jazmine was so helpful. With suggestions and attentiveness and really vibing with our needs. The restaurant was out of stock of my favorite dish (seared white albacore), but I was so happy our alternatives worked out to perfection. We were blessed with the first of their new beef dish they haven't launched on their menu quite yet and it was perfection. The beef melted and was savory and absolutely delicious. Give Jazmine a raise! Oh and our greeter, who I assume was the owner couldn't have been more gracious or kinder. I will definitely be back!

Twas a solo, business trip on a Friday night, so I was able to experience this place on full, local display. Sat at the sushi bar and I was able to watch the chef make my Oco personally. The only reason I left a star out is because as I sat at one of those bar spots, I was exposed to the back side of the deep fryer so not only was it warm but it was a touch scummy. It needed to be cleaned thoroughly. (To me that something you expect in Japanese culture is the expected cleanliness.) The service was not bad, perhaps not top notch, maybe due to the fact it was a full house with tables turning over. Overall well done and I will return.

Big store, very nice place that resembles a Whole Foods or Sprouts Farmers Market. Seems to have…read morebeen updated since I was here last. It's a nice store. All kinds of great gifts, deli food, candy, bakery, produce, wine, liquor, fresh food in the deli, gifts, plants, home necessities, and the usual stuff found at grocery stores. I went in specifically to find Carol Hall's Kitchen's jalapeño jam. I bought one of those, a jalapeño berry mix and a blackberry jam. A friend swears by this brand. I also found some paper free, bamboo tissue. Easy to find employees, one didn't know where the items I needed were located. Another woman knew and told me which isles. The one unfamiliar with the store, at least the Irene I needed, came and found me to direct me to the right spot. I appreciate that. Checker rang up my items, the bagger banged them. Neither said much to me. The checker told me my total and the bagger asked if I wanted a bag. Customer service could be a bit more upbeat, eg, "hi, did you find what you needed, how's your day, thanks for coming in.

Looking forward, I'll just order the croissant sandwiches and wraps. Excellent customer service. Staff was extremely helpful. Plenty of parking space and the store is clean. Sushi Spot - Vegas Roll, Moon roll, and Salmon special roll. I would eat them all every night if I could!

The place was clean and bright. Definitely a Japanese "vibe". I sit down at my table, and it was coming toward the end of happy hour, so I decided to order a couple of things off the happy hour menu. I started out with the "mini monsters" a smaller portion of their "monster rolls" I chose the Vegas roll. smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado & shrimp, tempura fried and topped with unagi sauce, , , and their dynamite sauce, and masago roe. . They were amazing. The tempura gave it a nice crunch, you could definitely taste the seafood, and the cream cheese and avocado played along very well. I liked the briny "pop" of the Masago, and the sauces were also very good. The dynamite sauce was not too spicy. Just enough that I knew it was there. I also had three of the grilled oysters, which also came with the dynamite sauce and the Masago on top. The oysters were perfectly grilled, you could tell that they were good quality, oysters, and again, the sauce and the Masago added to the flavor. I also liked the "greens" on top. They provided a nice pot of freshness. For dessert, I had the chocolate peanut butter mochi. The chocolate shell played very well with the creamy peanut butter ice cream . Just a fantastic ending to a great meal. The prices at the place are reasonable, even more than this case, as it was the happy hour. . A great meal, for a good price. Thanks!

We came to eat here after a long drive up from the Bay Area. There was no one there but they had us wait for about 15 minutes to be seated (I walk with a cane and have trouble standing). The service was very slow and the bento boxes came very late after everyone else was already done with the sushi and oysters. The kids were very fussy waiting forever for the bento boxes. The sushi was awful! The servers were all "non-Asian" and I'm assuming the kitchen staff was "non-Asian" as well because of the poor food. Very bad experience overall. Will not be returning. Cost us $155 to feed our little family.
