I love the inside aesthetics of Sweetwater. They have local artwork on the walls that you can buy. This is a pretty solid place to study. They even have a printer you can use. We got the Nepali Brew and Matcha Ice Dragon. The Nepali Brew is my girlfriend's go-to. It's a sweet espresso drink with vanilla and hazelnut. The Matcha Ice Dragon was refreshing and not too sweet. The service was great. I would definitely recommend Sweetwaters for your coffee and tea fix! read more

I've never been more disappointed or frustrated with a coffee shop. I decided to try this place to support a small local business, and now I see exactly why it's always empty. I went through the drive-thru and ordered a matcha latte with a splash of cream. The employee looked completely confused and asked if I wanted all cream instead of milk. I explained that I wanted milk with just a splash of cream. Then I asked what sugar-free flavors they had, and she just said vanilla. When I asked again, she finally listed five more. Why not just list them all when I asked the first time? Then I was told my total was $8.00 for a small drink. I asked for a receipt and saw I had been charged $1.05 just for a splash of cream. I asked the male employee to confirm, and he said yes, that's what they charge. I told them to cancel it. I'm not paying $8 for a small drink with a tiny splash of cream. Then a different employee came over and said I had been rung up wrong and the actual total should have been $6.22. I said that was fine. As I handed over my card, she stopped again and said she clicked the wrong button and the total was actually $7.27 because she accidentally rang it up as a hot coffee. At that point, I was done. I told them to cancel everything. The entire experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating. Went here for the first time Saturday morning... Really nice coffee shop! Nice baristas, Lots of places to sit and enjoy your coffee, tea or snack. They even have a printer you can use, which may come in handy for those having a business meeting, or students doing schoolwork, writing a paper. They have a great menu, lots of options! I had an iced cinnamon oat milk latte, husband had the "Dreamy". He said it was the best iced coffee he's ever had!! We also got a ham, egg and cheese, croissant sandwich, and pumpkin chai swirl bread, both of which were delicious! We also took a sour cream walnut coffee cake to go. Along Murphy Road, north of FM 544 (near Country Burger). Next door is planned for a CINNAHOLIC gourmet cinnamin rolls. This Sweetwaters is not as big inside as the North Richardson location. A big laptop table inside the entrance, with really nice pop-up power ports. And then, the seating is kinda like living in a submarine along the wall. In far back are 4 upholstered lowback seats around a small coffee table. (Moms with strollers need to grab these if open). There are 2 child highchairs stored in back hallway. 2 restrooms, both unisex / ADA posted. DRINKS & FOOD: A massive menu, a lot of options here. The pastry display is very delicious looking, and easier to pick from than printed menu up on the wall. Do your online research before you get here. Drive thru is approached from the back of the building, signs, menu, and lighting are very good. The exit takes you to Murphy Road, or turn south back into Murphy Crossing shopping center to access FM 544 I had a hot, double Nicaraugan Organic Fair Trade (black) coffee for $3.09 and it was smooth, with low acidity. Staff is young & did not give the customer service I expected for trying for the first time. I ordered a coffee and got it as a frapp. I also ordered a blueberry scone and half way through it I found green bread and I mentioned it to the staff and they laughed and told me it was a blueberry. I'm sorry but I don't believe that blueberries are dark green and fuzzy. They told me they wouldn't give me money back and that I needed to understand that the blueberries cook into green colors in the oven. I gave this place two chances to wow me. The first time, we tried out the drive-thru and got the matcha smoothie. After waiting a long time at the window, it was just an average vanilla shake and hardly any matcha taste at all. Second visit, we went inside. Cute place. Ordered the matcha latte this time and a "vietnamese" iced coffee. We ordered the matcha latte without vanilla flavor in hopes of heightening the matcha flavor but it just ended up tasting like sweet milk. The viet iced coffee had the most awkward temperature. They poured hot coffee over a few bits of ice, so that the result was warm patches with slightly cold sips. The flavor was not rich and tasted like a bland sweetened coffee. Everything is WAY overpriced for the lack of flavor. I didn't try any baked goods but 3.50 for a mini cupcake didn't seem worth it. They def need to work on their flavors but I will not be visiting a third time. I am also confused by the sizes(??) and how to order. What is a double or a triple? Had the worst "Mocktail" EVER. I ordered a Mango Sunrise Mocktail. What I received was a pineapple concoction that was overpowered with artificial lemon flavor and tasted like cough medicine. It was evident that the young lady that attempted to make the drink had no clue as to what she was doing. I told her not to mess up my drink and she assured me that it would be made right. I love coming to this place. Very cute inside, the staff is friendly, easy to talk to, and willing to help with any "confusion" on the menu. While this is franchise and they can't obviously change how their drinks are called, a simple question on what is what will get you the answer... I love the ability to sit and work, read, and chat with friends. Very friendly and environment. The service at this place is amazing! I usually come in the early mornings around 7am, and the crew during the mornings is a dream. They're all very friendly and really fast, they always makes sure that what you order, you like. There is only one issue I have with the place... the pictures on the wall are not welcoming at all. They actually make me quite uncomfortable. The chalkboard wall with the beautiful art is not at all complimented by the pictures on the wall. Changing the pictures and adding some art will bring out the personality of the store and will match it with the personality of the staff that works there! Good job! read more
