So they messaged her that it would be on Feb. 15th. No delivery. Then Feb. 16th. No delivery. And so on for the month. I told her to cancel it, I was good with that. Well,on Feb. 28th, Snapp's Floral in Gower, MO received an order for B-day balloons and a card from FTD. He said he thought it was odd, so he ADDED balloons to make it seem like she got her moneys' worth and delivered them on Thursday evening, Feb 28th. After he left, I queried him on where were the flowers? I told him the story and how my daughter said she'd spent a lot of money for the flowers and just wanted it nice for me. He looked at his order and said there was nothing about flowers. We talked and then I figured that was what she eventually got. The next day, he called me back and told me he thought about it and got with FTD and explained my concern. FTD decided they needed to look into the situation to see if the on-line company was skimming the order. In the mean time, Snapp's floral decided to "make it right". They put together a beautiful B-day arrangement and brought it to me at work on a Friday night - WAY out of his normal delivery area! I feel this company went WAY out of their way to make it right for me. AND at the company's expense AND after hours AND for no reason other than customer service. This was just a totally awesome experience! I have used FTD to send flowers all over the US and Canada for years and never had a problem. I think the problem (and FTD thinks this as well) that the on-line company she used was skimming the order to increase their profits. I would recommend Snapp's Floral to anyone up here in the Northland - no matter what his delivery area usually is.... For all his thoughtfulness, he deserves the praise and the business! Garden Gate Flower Shop did a great job on creating two flower sprays & the cost was reasonable…read morethat I ordered for my father's funeral, but it was such an UNEXPECTED surprise! Please let me tell you why...Because I live out of state I couldn't get to the Flower Shop until 3 days before the funeral, which included the weekend, to order the funeral flowers. It was short notice for the order and the Owner Stacy said she could get all of the flowers EXCEPT for the white spider mums and the red gerbera daisies. I had a picture of the flower spray on my phone that I wanted, and in my opinion, the spider mums and the red gerbera daisies along with the red roses were what made this spray especially beautiful and without them it would not stand out as I had hoped! I sadly accepted the fact that Stacy would have to substitute the spider mums and the red gerberas with similar flowers and I was truly disappointed when I left the shop that day. To make matters worse, later that afternoon I called Stacy at the flower shop and asked if she could add an additional ribbon to the spray that had, "Great Papa" written on it. She told me she could add a ribbon that had "Great Grandpa" written on it (one that she already had in her shop) but her employee who made the ribbons was ill & so I couldn't get the specialized ribbon. Again, I was very disappointed. So, on the day of the funeral, TO MY GREAT SURPRISE, I walked into the funeral home to see the most beautiful red and white flower casket spray and vertical spray on & near my father's casket that included the white spider mums and the red gerbera daisies! And to top it off the third ribbon on the casket spray had "Great Papa" written on it just as I had requested. I was elated and very thankful - Stacy pulled off what seemed impossible by calling around to several florists to get the flowers I wanted as well as the special ribbon! Thank you, Stacy! I was charged 93.28 to my card, may not be much to some but it was much for me. On 12/26, I called to make sure my order was correct and if I could get a receipt for my payment. The two girls who spoke to me on the phone, were terrible and treated me with total disrespect. I am 65 years old, and they were talking down to me like they were scolding a little child. Yelling at me, "we do this every day, the flowers will be where they're supposed to be on the day they're supposed to be there!!!" Her funky attitude was so much to the extent that I had to tell the girl on the phone to watch her tone with me. The other girl was in the background, "yeah, yeah" in that girl's support. I was a paying customer asking reasonable questions. What's wrong with these people? It appeared they wanted to argue and fight with me. Complete attitude adjustments are needed, and customer service etiquette is very much lacking for these girls. Not that I care, but you will be out of business if they treat customers like this. I will never order from Butchart again.
