Great service. Kind staff. Delicious food! Family friendly. Lots of homemade desserts and they have a delicious handcrafted Misutgaru smoothie. Lots of cute rice cakes and shaved ice desserts.

I was completely new to Sweet Rice today, so the woman at the counter (the owner, I assume) was incredibly helpful making suggestions. The Frappuccino was perfect, and she was absolutely right to suggest the custard. Seriously a gem in a world of commercial coffe!!

Love the fish cake and the black sesame rice cake. As I dont like sweet stuffs, black sesame rice cake is perfect for me as it doesn't have any sugar, just the aroma from black sesame. Fish cake is huge portion with lots of tiny fish cakes. Staffs here are very kind as well. Highly recommended!

For Montgomery, I was pleasantly surprised with Sweet Rice. I believe it's a chain because there's an identical place in Duluth, GA, but I've never been. Bubble tea is hard to find in Montgomery so I was curious to check this one out. Parking: Plentiful. Interior: Spacious. The inside is very cute. Several tables all around the restaurant and a large sectional sofa that's great for groups. This place offers a wide variety of Korean sweets, beverages, and snacks. * Fish cakes: Fish-shaped pastry filled with custard. These are made fresh on the side and very good! Not too sweet at all. * Milk Tea Bubble Tea ($4.50): The tea was OK, but the tapioca/boba was old and hard. I couldn't eat them and ended up drinking the tea around it. I would not recommend this. * White Chocolate Mocha ($3.99): Not bad, but also not special either. Service: Good. The ladies were nice, however, they don't speak much English. Overall, Sweet Rice is a decent dessert place in Montgomery. I'm happy to see more Asian cafes opening up here and would be open to trying something else at Sweet Rice next time.

I thought this was a pretty special discovery in Montgomery. I have to say, the Asian population has really taken off over the past several years after the Hyundai plant was built. And along with it, more Asian restaurants, stores, and specialty shops like Sweet Rice have been added to the scene. We stumbled upon a review on Yelp and decided to give it a try since we had some extra time over the holidays. They have a lot of sweet treats and desserts, although they were all Korean treats and we couldn't tell what any of it was. Still, I'm pretty adventurous and am always willing to give new things a try. So we picked a couple of treats that looked good. They sell by weight, so you can pick however much or little as you want. We ended up liking a couple of them and went back for seconds to bring back to my parents. They also sell bubble teas and these really tasty fish shaped cakes that are kind of like crepes. While the bubble teas were average, I thought the fish cakes were delicious must-haves! They come in 4 pieces and are filled with red bean custard. If nothing else, I highly recommend giving these a try. I will definitely be going back for these anytime I'm back for a visit.

A cute, small, but homely place where you can tell they are experts at what they do. These sweet rice cakes and goodies are best enjoyed fresh and the day of delivery, as they can get a bit less delicious over time. But we had them while enjoying a coffee at the store itself, which was perfect. Don't expect too "sweet" rice when you go, though. These little treats range from no sweetness at all, to just enough. Our favorite ones were the balls filled with sugar. I could eat a hundred of em! The others were definitely different than what you would find at any other bakery or dessert place, and that counts for a lot. They're good at what they do if you're into it!

For Montgomery this place is pretty decent! Get the traditional milk tea over the flavored bubble teas. There's a wide selection of Korean sweets that are 5.99/lb. pick what looks appealing but note they are typically less sweet than traditional American desserts. The real star of the place is the barely advertised four stuffed dessert shaped fish filled with red bean and custard. Comparable to what I've had in Cali and very delicious warm. Highly recommend you try it!

Absolutely amazing. Me and my kids stopped in today and got some bubble tea and strawberry Snow Bangsu and it was incredible. The women working behind the desk were also incredibly sweet and attentive. Will absolutely be back!!

Made my Korean friends in Montreal jealous with this find, so score! I liked it, especially the gold fish dessert with red bean and custard, which they call 1/2 n 1/2. I have to go back to try the shaved ice!

Glad Montgomery has another place that sells bubble tea! I got the green tea flavor and it was delicious. I wish they made their boba fresh, you can tell the difference if it's freshly boiled rather than sitting for awhile. I hot boba all the time in LA and Mr. Chen's sells it as well but I usually just end up making my own at home. The rice cake was nice and subtly sweet. I'll definitely be back to try more bubble tea flavors.

Love it! Fan of authentic Korean food and super happy we have this in Montgomery area. Loved the coffee and sweet rice treats. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable in what they do. Must try as a light sweet treat option in Montgomery!

The rice cake here is really good and really fresh! I also like that they package it in different sizes so if you live alone, you can't buy several smaller packs to try or larger packs to share!

I picked this spot because it was local and they had a drive through for coffee. I didn't go inside but it's a cute little building. Limited parking and a sort of twisty drive through, but I really like the concept. I wish more higher quality places had a drive through. I ordered one of their seasonal specials, the Cadbury Egg. It's a double shot espresso with white mocha, regular mocha, and caramel. It gave me /bad/ sticker shock. I ordered the smaller size and it was almost $9. For the size of it, I thought the price was very, very high. Service was also quite bumpy. The girl who took my order didn't seem too happy to see me but she took my payment and went back to make my drink. We waited a while, and then a different, friendlier girl came to see if we'd been helped, which we said we had. Then we waited....a lot longer. The first girl finally came back after an extended time, made a very halfhearted apology for our wait (after we watched her horsing around with a male employee right behind the window) , and we were finally on our way. The drink was aggressively fine. I didn't taste any caramel and it mostly had a sort of nondescript mocha vibe. It was a touch on the bitter/burnt side too, though not unmanageable. I think I'm more upset about the price vs the size and quality rather than anything intrinsically wrong with the drink; if I could've had the same drink at around ~$5-6 I'd probably bump up to a 3 star rating. As is, though, it was a mid drink for a high price served very, very slowly with a touch of surliness. I wonder if service is quicker on the inside. They didn't seem too busy but it's hard to tell what was going on indoors; the drive through had no one ahead of us though. The food offerings look good. Perhaps I just caught them on a bad day.

There were many different types of tea and I chose one to take on our trip, but we were also blessed with some chicken salad sandwiches on a croissant and two different desserts. I rarely like anyone's chicken salad, I favor my family's recipe, but I will say, I really like this one and would give it a five 5. Additionally, we had some little petite shortbread cookies and lemon bars, and my husband LOVED 'd the lemon bars. I really liked them too, but he loved them! The cookies were so cute and if I lived in this area, I would probably go to this particular restaurant often. I met the owner and she was SO nice and really went out of her way during our short visit there. The next time we're there, I hope to go in and dine on some delicious homemade food!

The value in the atmosphere, ingenuity, and taste presented by The Tea Garden was simply delightful. We loved being able to browse their array of English teacups and saucers, selecting whichever we pleased to accompany our meal. Their selection of add-on options was also impressive, presenting more like a traditional Southern-style tea (and providing a welcome dose of nostalgia akin to the days of Montgomery's era of Gracie's English Tea Room). The service was also unbeatable: generally tea rooms have a bit of a wait due to how the meal is presented, but The Tea Garden's pacing was perfection. Iced beverage glasses were refilled in a timely manner and we were checked in on many times to see if we required anything additional, including a fresh pot of tea. For the tea, I was very impressed to see their menu goes past providing just a few select blends, leaning into true tea aficionado favorites. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend any tea lover (or posh-but-savvy lunch-goer) check this gem out before the secret gets out. Aside from a gorgeous lunch destination, this would be an excellent location for engagement parties, bridal showers, baby showers, or most fitting, a proper Graduation Tea: a Southern tradition.

Our Place Cafe is a strange little restaurant. I've been to this place twice: once for dinner, and…read morerecently for brunch. As always, the most important aspect to dining out is service. Now, what's funny is that the woman who owns Our Place, Corrie Sid, also owns Cafe de Fleur in Auburn - which I actually gave 1 star for having service so slow they we weren't able to get our meals. Well, Our Place is also quite slow, though not to the same degree. Just like the other restaurant, they seem genuinely short-staffed, even though Our Place was mostly empty at the time. But what really sets Our Place apart - in a bad way - is the environment. Normally, I don't give too much thought to interior design, but this one raises a few serious flags. It's a very old building; I can only guess what its original purpose was. You can see daylight peeking through the walls, which is odd. And the rusted tin roof isn't so much charming and folksy as it is off-putting. However, the big issue that caught my eye was the thick layer of dust over the ceiling diffuser, right above the tables on the ground floor. When the AC kicks on, the result will be blast of dust, grease, and mold spores directly onto the food of the people below. I'm not even going to talk about the food, other than saying "it's fine." Normally a place like this would garner 2 or 3 stars, but the questionable (to say the least) health and safety of Our Place Cafe prevents me from doing that in good conscience. 1 star.
