As I requested of you several time and starting 5 months in advance. The best they could was to arrange this on the same floor. Since my mother is partially handicapped and needs help getting around this made our stay very difficult. I am very disappointed with how this all happened. I complained when I checked in but not after this as I did not want to disrupt the wedding. Also the desk at check in said they had no notes or requests on record that anyone requested we have our rooms together. If I would contacted the resort myself at least they would have had the request. However this is what I believed you were doing. Apparently not.

The room is large and we have a separate sitting area with a big couch, desk and two TV's. Bathroom is clean and sparkling and a curved shower curtain rod- so better than the straight ones. The bed is a large king too with comfy pillows. I love that there is a fridge and a microwave and we popped a quick bag of popcorn that I just happened to have with me. The keurig Is a nice touch and makes much better coffee than the old machines We pretty much went to bed as soon as we arrived as we had a very early coach picking us up, 6:05 AM to take us back to the train to get the rest of the way to Banff. They did have breakfast out when we were leaving so we had a quick tasty piece of banana bread along with our coffee. If we've been here longer, we would've stopped to enjoy the fitness center! This is a nice hotel. We definitely would stay here again.

We were in Kamloop as part of a trip that we were taking. The hotel was part of the package that…read morethe travel agent set up. We had been staying at Fairmont Hotels, which are known for their high quality (and expense), so I want to keep that in mind as I write this review. The hotel reminds me of one that we have back home, that is set up for families. The lobby is large and spacious. Upon arriving we were greeting by the friendly staff. Our room was on the second floor. It's a large space, with two queen size beds. There was plenty of space for our luggage, a couple extra shares, and even space to exercise. The bathroom was large and had a tub (I prefer a walk-in shower). The place was "nice", but definitely a bit dated. It was clean, but also needed some TLC (worn/chipped paint, etc). There is a large recreation area that contains a pool and hot-tub. We took advantage of the hot tub which was clean and fully operational (lots of jets and bubbles). Plenty of chairs set up in different areas if you had kids and wanted to keep an eye on them. There are also rooms on all three levels that look out on to this area. Overall, a decent experience. I don't know the actual cost would have been, but on the online price is approx $170/$200 for a weeknight/weekend. They also have a restaurant inside that is a nice convenience (reviewed separately).

The good bits: staff were friendly, the room spacious and clean, beds very comfortable and WiFi speed decent. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine, but no room safe. The downsides: the hotel feels quite tired, and our room faced the atrium, so it had no natural light or ventilation. There was a lingering smell of chlorine from the swimming pool and echoing, penetrating noise from other guests until late at night from the atrium seating area (take ear plugs). The air conditioning was effective but very noisy. Overall, it did the job, but I would not stay again here by choice.

Garbage overflowing, elevators and floors dirty, the pet area looked ghetto. Common area furniture was dirty and had tears in the cushions. Maybe there is a difference in the maintenance requirements of a Holiday Inn vs a Holiday Inn Express but there was never anyone cleaning and it showed. We travel with pets and paid more money to stay on a floor that hasn't been remodeled like the rest of the hotel. When I asked the person at the front desk he was like.....yep, sorry! I question why this hotel hasn't had any reviews in years? Red flag.

The neighborhood is shady and the view from our room was the worst. Canada is full of trees. They should have left a few behind this hotel. (I've included a picture of the view from our "suite"). The horrible view didn't bother me as much as the dryer and the jacuzzi. We'd been on the road for an extended road trip. We had laundry and wanted a relaxing jacuzzi so we booked this hotel on line to make use of those specific amenities. It felt like the classic bate and switch and we were too tired to cancel and look elsewhere. On the plus side, it was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Thick white towels and modern bathrooms. High quality bedding and comfortable mattresses. Special touches such as a microwave for guest use and a non-traditional vending machine with interesting snacks are a bonus. The rooftop (actually 2nd floor) pool/hot tub area is spectacular. Kids and adults alike enjoy using the space. Poolside bar and meal service is available. Staff routinely maintain the pool area, picking up stray towels and dirty dishes. The upgraded executive package is a good deal, as it includes underground parking and a breakfast voucher for the on-site restaurant. The breakfast menu has many options from pancakes to eggs Benedict, and the food is high quality and prepared to order. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Kamloops and is steps from a full-service grocery store, a large drug store, and many cafes and boutiques. I wear earplugs when sleeping, so I cannot comment on room-to-room noise. I don't feel that the noise transfer between rooms is atypical for a building of it's age/construction type. I sleep better here than at home. Overall exceptional experience. I look forward to staying here.

When we arrived the building was updated and modern. Smelled nice and it was hot that day, however the hotel was cooled to a good temp. The staff was very friendly. Went to the room and it was so-so. Not the best room, but not bad enough to go to a different hotel. The area of concern was the riff raff they allow in the hotel. The level of clientele was low. We really go to know this when we were trying to sleep. People were partying in the hallway and were very loud. We called down to the manager and they said they would take care of it. We waited and the noise came back. I called down again and management said they would be removing the loud guests shortly. The noise then stopped, however a good night's sleep was out of the question at this point. Not sure if it is the proximity to the casino, but the quality of customers was very low during our stay.
