When pulling up to the hotel it's stunningly beautiful on the outside. When pulling into the driveway you're facing public parking so we weren't sure where the hotel parking was. Upon going inside and checking in we discovered that you not only have to check in with your hotel card to the parking but that it is around the corner, underground, and it is very limited. The inside of the hotel matches the outside, it's just as beautiful! I absolutely love the style and mixture of the different styles they've used for the decor of this hotel. The rooms are pretty small and compact, but they offer you everything you need and then some. We were in room 408 and we still got a full length mirror, a closet that lights up when opening, hooks to hang your stuff, a bench for your suitcase, a drawer for your clothes or what nots, a refrigerator, a desk and a chair, a chair with the table, and your two bedside tables. The bathroom may have the tiniest sink in the world, but for being a standard bathroom also packs a big punch! There is a seat in the shower/place to rest your foot while you shave your legs. The room is very clean and minimal just the Way I like it. We would definitely return here even though our view was of an adult bookstore and a cannabis store only.

So excited that we are finally able to travel locally again! What better way to support your local BC destinations then a weekend getaway! Last week we had the opportunity to head north to Kamloops for a night to explore the city and enjoy the sun and did we ever! I highly suggest staying at the Delta Hotels in Downtown Kamloops. They have everything you'll need for the perfect stay while exploring Kamloops. Not only is it in the heart of downtown, which makes it conveniently located just steps away from all the shops, restaurants and activities, but they also have a rooftop pool and one of the best restaurants in Kamloops! The staff were very helpful checking in, booking a pool time, dinner reservation and very professional with their COVID-19 response. The room was lovely, I really liked the decor and colours in the room, it was very crisp, clean and inviting. We had a lovely city view with the gorgeous mountains to wake up to. I slept like a baby on the King size bed, with the comfiest plush bedding. Our room included a large flat screen TV with complimentary Wi-Fi, coffee, tea and bottled water. It was heavenly walking into the AC from the heat outside, so very thankful for that! We even had a mini-fridge so we were able to bring some goodies of our own and store our leftovers from dinner! The bathroom was really nice, the shower was my fav, it was massive and super chic! For amenities, they had the nicest heated rooftop pool and cabana area. We booked a 1 hour slot and splashed around in the pool the whole time, it was so fun and had such a nice view, especially when it was so hot out! They even have fancy cabanas to sit in and order a poolside cocktail! Next to the pool they had a really nice 24hr workout room too which is perfect for the traveler trying to stay in shape! They offer $14 underground parking located on the hotel grounds as well as EV charging stations. The best part? They are also pet friendly which I absolutely love, so bring the doggies with you on this vacation! We went to their lobby restaurant for dinner; Cordo Resto + Bar, and it was amaaazing! What a beautiful restaurant with such delicious cocktails, and tons of local BC and Okanagan wine, beer and local spirits. It was definitely some of the best food I've had in a long time! They had lots of comfy couches and art leading into the restaurant, with some lovely brown leather comfy chairs at the bar to watch all the cocktail making action! Traveling on business? They have tons of options for the traveling worker, from free wi-fi, comfortable seating in your room or lounge to work on your laptop, and tons of conference and meeting rooms accommodating up to 50 people They are the perfect for a quick working traveler as they even have a grab and go breakfast station for those on the move. This is also a great spot for a Wedding as they have a Certified Wedding Planner to make your dream wedding come true!

As of my stay 08/2019, the hotel was recently remodeled and purchased by Marriot. The improvements look to be a great improvement with lots of modern clean upgrades to the rooms, lobby and exterior street level. The important part of any hotel is the bed and cleanliness, both get my approval. The bed was on the firm side, has 4 large fluffed pillows, charging plugs bedside, reading lights and a large flat screen with Netflix (need your own login). The bathroom is a little tight especially if you tried to get 2 people in at the same time. But, everything was bright, clean and easy to navigate. Figuring out the shower took a minute with a wall shower head and a hand shower wand. A fair amount of pressure comes out with a strong water heater, be careful there! Convenient location downtown with multiple restaurants within a 5 minute walk and only a few blocks from the river and park. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay but avoid rooms On the 01-16 side facing west. They sit above a bank of massive air conditioners that make a throbbing hum 24 hours a day. They also look directly into a green building under construction. Booked months ago but I suspect they put us here because we booked through Expedia however let's give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was all they had available.

When I was finally able to get through on the one road available for local use only, I found that the only parking lot available was full with homeless people camped out on the sidewalk. Not going to drag a suitcase down the street in unsafe conditions from blocks away. Booked on Expedia.com and used credit I had there. Cancellation/refund policy stated no refunds if the reservation wasn't canceled by midnight the night before. I wasn't aware of the conditions of the roads nor neighborhood before I was in town so seems pretty unfair. Called the hotel to request a refund and can't reach anyone so will be working with Expedia on this. The hotel also seems to be rundown and not kept up, definitely not what one would expect from a Wyndham owned property.

It's located downtown Kamloops. Parking is somewhat limited, just one strip close to the hotel but they have another parking spot maybe 2 blocks away. If you are like me, just passing thru and have my luggages in the car, consider bringing them down first then park your car to the distant parking spot. I was not comfortable leaving my stuff in the car and parked far away. The staff was friendly. Checkin in and out was fast and effortless. The elevator was cramped almost only for 1-2 people. It was ok in my situation. The room was clean, and comfortable. I was on the fifth floor and can see around downtown. Didn't have to wait a long time for the elevators when going out or back to my room. There was a complimentary drink, either wine or beer, when I checked in. The bar was not full and I was told there was a hockey game playing nearby. Vancouver and Calgary game was on the big screen when I came in. Breakfast was sausage, bacon, potatoes, eggs, coffee. Hot meal is always welcome!

We had been staying at Fairmont Hotels, which are known for their high quality (and expense), so I want to keep that in mind as I write this review. The hotel reminds me of one that we have back home, that is set up for families. The lobby is large and spacious. Upon arriving we were greeting by the friendly staff. Our room was on the second floor. It's a large space, with two queen size beds. There was plenty of space for our luggage, a couple extra shares, and even space to exercise. The bathroom was large and had a tub (I prefer a walk-in shower). The place was "nice", but definitely a bit dated. It was clean, but also needed some TLC (worn/chipped paint, etc). There is a large recreation area that contains a pool and hot-tub. We took advantage of the hot tub which was clean and fully operational (lots of jets and bubbles). Plenty of chairs set up in different areas if you had kids and wanted to keep an eye on them. There are also rooms on all three levels that look out on to this area. Overall, a decent experience. I don't know the actual cost would have been, but on the online price is approx $170/$200 for a weeknight/weekend. They also have a restaurant inside that is a nice convenience (reviewed separately).

The front desk was very friendly and accommodating upon arrival and the lobby was clean and well appointed. The rooms were very basic but got the job done. Breakfast was even put out early to accommodate hungry preteen hockey players before our early games. The breakfast staff was beyond kind and helpful, making sure we always had everything we needed for our long days. Long story short, is this a four seasons? Far from it. Did it house a hotel FULL of loud and rambunctious hockey players and families without batting an eye? Absolutely!
