I'd recommend the cinnamon rolls! -- The Sugary offers a variety of desserts ranging from cookies, cakes, muffins, and cupcakes. There are also a variety of "birthday/celebration items," like cards and candles. The interior is small, with one table, but very clean and well-decorated. The service is quick and conducive for to-go orders and they accept credit card. As there is only one register, if there is a line, it may take a while. When I was there, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I ordered the cheesecake, rainbow cookie, and cinnamon roll. These were all so delicious and I'll be back soon for more! The cheesecake was decadent but had depth to its flavor and the crust was thick and solid. I really enjoyed the slice and it was large enough to be shared, so I felt the price was spot on for the value. The rainbow cookie was one of the best I've ever had, with its rich chocolate flavor, and was an elevated version of ones I've had in the past. Lastly, the cinnamon roll was a bit too sweet for me, but otherwise it was what I'd call "a perfect cinnamon roll." Fluffy, cinnamon-forward, and with lots of icing! I'd highly recommend The Sugary for any sweet treat cravings, but only if you have no allergies or dietary restrictions. They offer custom desserts but there is a disclaimer of cross-contamination risk.

I opted for their tiramisu as I was drawn to the adorable packaging. And as it turns out, there's more to it than meets the eye since it also tasted pretty good. I liked that it was only subtly sweet and pretty light and creamy. I didn't taste too much coffee rum in it, despite the warning about the alcohol content. This tiny shop closes around 3pm on Sundays, so make sure you go there soon enough in the day so that you can give their delectable sweets a try.

The Dodo bakery focuses on Hong Kong-centric pastries, so I had to check it out. For the savory options, they do a steamed BBQ bun and it tastes much like what you would order at a dim sum restaurant, for a reasonable price of $2.50 per bun. They also serve various cakes and sweet buns that were pretty good. I ended up having the steamed custard bun, taro bun, and the pineapple bun, all tasty. The only thing I wasn't not as impressed with is the cinnamon roll, which arguable is more of an American item. I didn't see any egg tarts, but I heard you may have to ask for them behind the counter. The store is small and bright, so you have to get take-out. They also serve boba drinks, which looked good but I didn't get a chance to try. I'll have to come back and try more things from here the next time I'm in the area.

I have never seen Pandan egg tarts anywhere else, so I was super pumped to try those and they were delightful. We got the Taro Bun, Pandan Tart, Red Bean Egg Yolk Puff, Steamed Custard Bun, Pork Floss Cake with Taro, Pandan Sponge Cake Sandwich and my absolute favorites were the Pork Floss Cake with Taro and Red Bean Egg Yolk Puff. It is a bit far from my place so I ordered for delivery and they packed everything very nicely!
