Bottom line: A delicious encounter enjoying the sweet delights at Sweet Boutique! Bright and welcoming atmosphere here. Both the Chocolate Honey Cake and the Almond Cake were wonderful with my hot latte enjoyed there at the cafe. Do note, this specialty shop has premium pastries/baked goods here so expect premium prices as well.
The Deets: I saw Sweet Boutique pop up on my local Yelp feed recently, bookmarking it to try as I like a good pastry/sweet baked goods/coffee stop. I got the chance to visit recently and enjoyed my experience here. This patisserie is located within the same strip of shops in Morrisville that contains Bottle & Cans, Shijiri Sushi Bar, etc., occupying the space that formerly housed Mochinut. Upon entering, this space is bright, modern, and welcoming while pleasantly dressed in seasonal decor that complements the shop's core look. I enjoyed the music playing overhead, a combo of mellow and upbeat but not overwhelming the atmosphere. I noted that there are power outlets along one wall only and did find out they do have WiFi as well. After inspecting the curated selections in the display case to the right of the register, I decided upon a slice of the Chocolate Honey Cake with a hot latte then also asking for a boxed slice of the tempting Almond Cake to go as well. My order was taken pleasantly by what I inferred to be the owner here, who also answered all my questions and was very helpful throughout. My cake slices came out immediately to the table while the fresh hot latte was being made for me (which was great when it arrived). The Chocolate Honey Cake (described within the display case as "delicate honey chocolate cake layers, sour cream mousse, milk chocolate") was a pleasure to enjoy. Delicious with a great balance, with not being over chocolaty or too sweet. After a few bites of that cake, I decided to just go ahead and enjoy a few bites of the Almond Cake while I was at it. I am glad I did, the cake described at the display counter as "almond meringue layers, silky vanilla custard cream, apricot confit, white chocolate" was amazing and might end up being my favorite. I ended up boxing up each half left of each cake slice to enjoy the rest back home. It was not crowded when I visited on a weekday morning but found out they have pretty heavy traffic on the weekends. One note here...this patisserie makes premium pastries and sweet baked goods, so do expect a premium price. That being said, I really enjoyed going to Sweet Boutique and will definitely remember them when wanting a special treat in the future. read more
