Nice outdoor seating under a large tent.

Ok went for the coffee. Left telling my family about the great pastries they have and the unexpected empanada I ate. Quick service and the employee was very helpful in telling me what to buy. Good seating inside and a great shaded area outside.

Delicious treats and savory handpies, warm service, cute interior. We come every visit to the vineyard for the wonderful food. My favorite are their berry scones but you cannot go wrong with any item on the extensive menu!

We were looking for a place that is open super early, and near the ferry terminal. I found this spot that offers some light breakfast items, and lots of sweet items. The inside was a nice size, not too small, with a good amount of seating for a café. They had some hot breads, scones, muffins, cookies, all sorts of sliced and whole cakes, Tart, mousse, pudding, fudge...you name it, they have it. We got a Cappuccino and a Machiatto (that is how they spell it) to go with our breakfast. These cups were super strong!!! I usually drink coffee without any sugar, but it was so strong, I had to have a little bit of sugar... We bought a Raspberry Scone, Cheesebread, and a Potato Bun. The staff heated the scone up for us. It was a nice large size, with loads of raspberries. It was so good! Better than I expected. Cheesebread was nice and hot, with real cheese flavor. I could have 10 of these babies easily... Potato bun was interesting, we chose the one with ham & cheese. It had great flavor, nice and cheesy! The staffs were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We had the kind of breakfast we were looking for; quick, easy, and tasty. If you are coming into the Vineyard early in a morning, and need a savory or sweet bites, give this spot a try!

I really wanted to like this bakery, but they made a mistake. Here's the story, I bought a cake ( key word: bought) and asked them to put my name on it and I will return. When I returned the lady said they sold my cake to someone else and she said she could replace it with another cake or refund the money...of course you will because I "paid" for the cake, as if your doing me a favor by selling my cake to someone else and not apologizing. In addition to my bad experience regarding customer service, the cashier wore a mask, but the older lady that was arguing and yelling about my cake took her face mask off to tell me she sold my cake and was not following the CDC safety guidelines by keeping her mask on, instead her saliva was all over the bakery when she was giving an excuse for selling my cake and talking loudly in unexceptional manner. The bakery items we did obtain: cookie, slice of cake and doughnut were not fresh. They were day old. Everything in the bakery case looked delicious, but I'm thinking they are not busy enough to sell fresh items. Also, the cake itself texture was crumbly and not moist. I'm disappointed with my experience, and initially I didn't want to leave a bad review because the desserts looked good when I walked, but I had to leave an honest review. I hope you get a better experience by getting the quality you pay for in a safe manner.

Shady spot to enjoy your coffee

A superiorly executed coffee and sandwich experience. The queue moves quickly, the outdoor seating area is covered from the sun with a large canopy, seating is well spaced out, and they deliver the items to your table. The breakfast sandwiches were made from scratch & were heavenly, the iced coffee was freshly brewed and on point. The location is just one block away from the shops on the main street in Tisbury. Highly recommend stopping by for a quality breakfast that you can either grab & go or enjoy onsite.

Amazingly beautiful sweets shop a block away from the ferry terminal. The super polite owner is Brazilian and stocks delicious Brazilian delicacies like Brigadeiro and cheese bread. The coffee was awesome as was the gorgeous outdoor spaces.

There is a novelty in the yearly trip to Sweet bites. Perhaps it is because they have such an awesome presence. What sticks out most to me is the big, burly wooden tables outside, as well as the thick wooden seats (each resembling a tree). It's a small detail, but you sit down with your sweet treat and think "wow, this is pleasant." For a main road, sitting at Sweet Bites is a pleasant break from the remainder of the street. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, it's a great place to relax and have a delicious bite to eat. They have savory options, sure, but you cannot leave without a dessert. In fact, dessert should be your top priority. From pies to flan, and from truffles to cookies, this is the premiere stop for desserts, and one not to be missed. On my latest venture, my partner and I split a Lime Bar and a Chocolate Mousse. The Lime Bar is a pleasant Curd that is equally tart and sweet, making for an excellent combination. Atop a graham cracker, it is a great treat that isn't too heavy. The mousse is the star, though, sharing a creamy dark and milk chocolate mousse with what appears to be pastry cream, also on top of graham cracker. Perfectly sweet, perfectly rich and perfectly salty for an all around pleasant treat. It's hard to not go more than once a year, but alas, these are the sacrifices one must make.

Amazing sweets in the display case. Homemade!

Very impressed by the pastry and baked good selection at this small cafe across from Cumberland Farms and next to Five Corners in Vineyard Haven. Their display cases have tons of different cakes and sweets, amazing homemade muffins (blueberry was bursting with fresh blueberries), and Brazilian style pastries including cheese bread. The interior of the cafe is clean and bright with several tables and self-serve coffee. This was our go-to morning spot for breakfast baked goods and we were not disappointed. Try the heavenly creme brulee profiterole (I'd swim across Vineyard Sound for this smooth, creme filled puff pastry topped with caramel).

Ordered 2 sandwiches, both were terrible. Soggy, ingredients were not fresh. Very disappointed.

Not expensive, you pay extra for very high quality. Delicious and located perfectly in the middle of Vinayard Haven near the ferry terminal.

I worked the Beach Road Weekend music festival on Martha's Vineyard and quickly realized this was THE JAM in Vinal Haven.

I can guarantee if you go to this adorable cafe, you will definitely see and even be able to pet…read moresome cute dogs. My friend and I decided to try out Black Dog Bakery and Cafe as big fans of the clothing brand and of coffee. We are both Celiac so we didn't get any food, but our coffees were really good and well made. I believe it helped that we went so early in the day too, literally right at opening. If you're looking for a cute beachy cafe on the cape, this is a great choice.

For many years, our family has continued to visit this black dog café location for really great…read morebreakfast options and has never been disappointed. We love the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food, and our children have always enjoyed dining at the outdoor tables on a lovely, warm summer morning. Since their renovation, we have noticed a few changes! It was really exciting to see how the café has been able to expand, and I'm sure it will be able to cater to additional clients with the addition of a larger bar set up with plentiful stools, while not sacrificing indoor seating. Although the pastry case looked smaller, the ordering setup for food and coffee was pretty nicely designed. The food items we ordered were delicious, from the avocado toast to lox on a bagel, and the coffee was fine. Our frustration came with a lack of respectful service. As a group of three black women with one teenage girl, we were met with lackluster service at the counter from the second we walked up to place our order. Although there were other larger groups ahead of us, our order somehow frustrated the cashier, and after us. When we had straightforward items to order, upon asking if everything was okay, she shared that we had caught her off guard by ordering for four people all at once. I can't imagine this isn't the norm with the number of families and groups that come into the establishment regularly. Still, we were 'disrupting her,' and it seemed to be an inconvenience to the point that some items from our order were never brought out, and a few mistakes were made on the order. Furthermore, upon her bringing some of the dishes to the table, we did not appreciate her demeanor; it was just shy of flinging the plates onto the table at us. It was an inferior example of the service environment we are used to at this location. The negativity from this interaction has tarnished this experience for us, and I can't say I will return. The cashier/server's demeanor was rough, abrasive, and straight-up rude. I hope they can find opportunities to improve because the food is usually spot on.
