Her work is absolutely amazing, and you can tell she loves what she does. Everyone I shared these photos with were amazed at how beautiful the photos came out and needless to say my husband was very happy. A few months after I did another boudoir session with Erin for one of her promotional projects which I could not turn down. These sessions are just so fun an empowering, I was so touched she asked me to be a part of this and it definitely won't be the last time I do it either! We paid $385 for a Christmas Vintage Truck mini session. I received and downloaded the 5 photos…read moreincluded in the package and the lighting of the photos is horrible. It was a sunny bright day on the day of our photo shoot and the photographer did not account for this in her planning and executing of the session. In the pictures you can see the sun hitting all of our faces on one side and the quality is very poor. You can also see the yellow and orange fall foliage on the trees in the background...so while we are sitting on a nicely decorated Christmas truck, it is clearly fall in the background. When I expressed these concerns Krys said she could re-edit the images. She sent me a sample re-edited image which still had the horrible lighting and the fall colors. She also did not edit the vintage truck name "Joe's Fix-it Goshen NY" off the truck like she was supposed to. Her reply to all my concerns when we went back and forth via email was "every session is unique by location, setting, lighting and situation but your portrait gallery is in line with my work and other sessions from that day. I can't control Mother Nature (lighting, fall foliage, etc.). I think your gallery turned out absolutely beautiful and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season." The bottom line is this was not worth $385 and yes it is a photographers job to get the lighting right on the pictures they take. Pretty sure that is taught in photography 101. I said, "I need to find a photographer in the Hudson valley or Catskills for a family photo shoot. Does anyone know anyone?" No one knew anybody. So, then I turned to Yelp, cause what else do you do? I reached out to 5 photographers...and from the first email, Denise stood out. She was friendly, to the point, and had a beautiful portfolio to share. Her prices were reasonably and she exuded a warmth and sincerity, even through emails, that was palpable. I booked her. When she showed up at our rental house to photograph all nine of us (ranging in age from 3 to 77) she was nothing but professional, friendly and gracious. She was on time (to the minute). And full of energy and guidance. Our hour of photo time went quickly!! it was fun! And, even though the youngest had a few minute long meltdown, Denise was not phased...and ended up getting some of the best photos during and after the meltdown. She edited and emailed the photos so quickly! And even got my hard digital copy in the mail super fast. The photos themselves are gorgeous, and there are quite a few we are looking forward to framing.
