The plowing of the streets has been fine and those doing the shoveling are doing a fantastic job. I will say this is only the first winter this company has been plowing the association, so there may be some growing pains. But such an overwhelming review by the association seems a bit premature.

The work…read morewas primarily, strip front lawn of terrible, weed friendly soil, level the lawn elevation, truck in 2 dumps of "good, clean, ph neutral weed free soil and hydro seed for a great lawn by July. Only thing I had to do was water adequately. The spring and early summer of 2025 was exceptionally wet. 13 straight weekends of rain. Grass started popping up in 12-14 days. I was watering based on soil temps as we got into June. But at about 5-6 weeks in around June 21, the entire lawn, except for 10-15% that is shaded, was 90% crabgrass w/ small patches of brown skimpy grass blades. Lawn was major disaster. Company blamed it on me not watering. Wrong, I had watered, I don't abandon my investments. This crabgrass was very heavy, knarly, thick leaves and roots, nothing like it in my area / neighborhood. Obvious to me it was embedded in the new soil they had dump trucked in. Or in the hydroseed... Who knows. 1st they promised to strip it all and start fresh, which I thought generous, but in the end, they aerated through the lawn of crabgrass and seeded and aerated. It did work, and by mid- late October, I had a nice lawn w/ small remnant of crabgrass. They said they'd come back in Spring 2026 and lay down a crabgrass and weed pre-emergent. They didn't. I did it myself. I can understand a big mistake (bad source for the new soil they laid down) but don't blame the client for something obvious in sourcing the product.

Many are not informed or able to recognize invasive species or non-natives vs. native species of plants. This is not the case with Eco-Smart Landscaping. They are very well educated on organic and native plants as well as recognizing invasives. I was thrilled to find them and have them do work on my property! They went above and beyond in all areas, and performed the job exactly as I had requested. The workers were all friendly and extremely helpful and performed an amazing job right on schedule. as a matter of fact, due to an injury, I had needed to go to the hospital, and Jake from Eco-Smart drove me there. This in itself was impressive, but along with that they had to complete all the work in my absence, so I was not around to approve the final product. In spite of that they did the job to perfection! I couldn't be happier to recommend Eco-Smart Landscaping. In fact, I plan on telling everyone I know! If you are also committed to restoring a native environment and bringing back pollinators, or otherwise have a desire to do your part to heal the planet, Eco-smart, is the only way to go!

I have never seen such shitty work in my life. I moved from the home, back with my parents where I was safe and the SEVEN different times I returned to the home I was NEVER able to get up to my home!! The driveway has been a sheet of ice EVERY TIME and I have gotten stuck and had to be towed twice!! I just received a phone call from my father who is now stuck in the driveway AGAIN with the locksmith and the tow truck is now stuck!!! They are all stranded waiting for a another tow truck!!! The response from Family Lawn Care: "We just plow...we aren't responsible for ice, sand or salt." However, they didn't mind charging my credit card every single time they "plowed and salted" my driveway. In fact, the last time this happened I spoke with the owner and he said that he would be right over with sand and salt to help. He never showed up. He also told me that he was waiting for the weather to warm up so he could get rid of the ice. On a unusually warm 45 degree day, I immediately called him and asked if he would work on the driveway that day and his response "well now the ice is too heavy because it has turned into slush." If I could give less than one star I would!!! Awful people!! DO NOT USE THEM
