The staff was doing very good and impressive work so we called and asked about giving some much needed attention to our (new) yard. We had several mulched beds that were overgrown, bushes that were in severe need of a trim, flowering plants that were straggly looking. We really wanted to give our outside yard area a spring cleanup and 'refreshing.' We were warned up front that the company was very busy and it could be several weeks before they could get us on their schedule. We proceeded to obtain a quote which seemed very reasonable given the amount of work we were asking for. After approving, we then started the wait..... and true to their warning, the wait was pretty long. In fairness to The Doty Group, the first 3 weeks of July was very rainy and wet - meaning their schedule got pushed back even further. When our sunny July day arrived, the crew got straight to work, and work they did! After day 1, much of the cleanup and prep was completed and some of the mulching was done. Day 2 brought some more mulch, more cleanup and trimming and some crushed stone delivery. When they completed the job, I could not believe how much better our property looked; I'm certain that the refreshed curb appeal immediately increased our property value. Driving in our driveway now makes us proud of the appearance of our new home. I would recommend the Doty Group to anybody else looking for quality landscaping services in southern NH but suggest you book early, as we have, wanting to get on their spring schedule for next year!

I was happy with my purchase until I started filling my raised beds and scattering my lawn with the soil and noticed it was filled with large rocks and debris, I even found multiple pieces of plastic and old cigarette packages. The soil is absolute GARBAGE and ruined my spring lawn overseeing and raised bed filling plans. I now have rocks scattered throughout my yard and my raised beds are rocky and overrun with weeds. I contacted the company to work out some sort of resolution and was told that they source their soil from a 3rd party and don't even screen it themselves. The receptionist said I would receive a call back to discuss the poor product but never received one - that was three weeks ago. Learn from my mistake and don't do business with this company. Eric came to our house and helped evaluate what the problem might be. He recommended some masonry work be done to seal missing grout between the stones, and then a test to see how well that solution fared. The mason he brought in was absolutely fantastic and worked diligently to fill the gaps. We did a test on half of the waterfall and still lost water from the pool, so the mason came back and did the other side. We couldn't test that half because it was time to close the pool and the water level had to be dropped until spring of 2023. We will test again in the spring. Eric Brand was upfront about pricing. We are going through the repair(s) step by step to eliminate doing too much work too quickly on the waterfall. The last time we had the waterfall repaired, we spent a lot of money for a Hollis landscaper who fibbed (he really hadn't had his crew install a waterfall), he did find a kid to tear out the waterfall, but no one knew how to put it back together again! -- thousands of dollars later. No more work with that landscaper. Eventually we found a real mason who could reassemble it, and for a reasonable price. Eric's mason's name is Phil and he is a conscientious worker, staying later if the job requires it, and he works straight through while on the job -- no cell phone calls, no time wasted -- and he is very impressive (clean cut, friendly and professional). Eric Brand of P&L, too, is very impressive. He is a focused businessperson who doesn't mess around. He stays on top of a project until it's finished, from initial problem evaluation to finish...well, this project isn't quite finished yet because of our pool being closed, but I am confident he will be right back on top of the situation when spring arrives.
