On the day of surgery, I was told the procedure was canceled due to a positive nicotine test--something I was never informed would be required on the day of surgery. I was left emotionally devastated and financially drained. No part of the surgery was performed, and the practice refused to return any of my payment. After speaking with the office on the day of the surgery when I was groggy from medications and then one less than 10 minute conversation, the office told me they would not be discussing with me any further my request for a refund or alternative to losing out on my 25k payment.

I was told while having a mammogram that implants could hide some forms of breast cancer. But our in person consult also told me that he was a confident surgeon who knew exactly what he was doing. I understood the risks involved in surgery as best as I could but also knew that if anyone was going to get it right, it was going to be him. And I'm so glad I did. I would highly suggest reading as many detailed reviews as possible and doing extensive research on any procedure you intend to have. There are so many reasons people may want to elect to have a surgery but if you've made it so far as to be ready to pull the trigger on it, just make sure your fully prepared. One thing to keep in mind is that while you will look AMAZING weeks or even months later, you will have to be patient with your results until then. Very patient. It is hard to go into something wanting to look and feel better but to actually look and feel worse until you've fully healed. But that is a part of the process and the commitment that surgery takes. I was very specific in stating that I was exploring surgical procedures and I may not be able to accommodate a surgical procedure. I said I would only agree to spend $250 on a consult with him if I could use it toward a non-surgical procedure like injectables if I decided not to move forward. They agreed, and now, they are RENEGING on that promise!! They have no problem now that they have your money!! They've apologized for the misunderstanding, but will not make any exception or offer any kind of concession. So be clear, that when you give them $250 or more to have a consultation with Dr. Amadi, you will lose that amount if you decide not to do a surgical procedure or decide not to move forward with him. They will justify this action by saying he takes 1.5hrs of his time to consult with you. I did not dispute that. I was clear of the time he was spending but again, they said I could apply it to a non-surgical procedure. I thought this was fair because I kept the money in his practice. I was not asking for my money back. Aside from this, their front desk and Dr Amadi were nice. You have choices! Do your research and ask for their policies. Ask how they do their consultations. Get things in writing. As a sidenote, from my experience & opinion, 1.5hrs is not needed when you're just exploring options and doctors for the first time. You want to talk with other Plastic surgeons to get their inputs, costs and policies. Most of these intro level appointments have not been more than 30 to 60 minutes elsewhere. And if I wanted to explore further wi a doctor I booked another appointment. If Dr Amadi wants to run his practice this way, that's his choice. Just be very clear that you will lose that money if you choose not to do surgery with him.

I went to Dr. P as he was recommended by a friend of a friend, and I regret not doing more research. 1. It is almost a year later and my nose is still numb and I've had to treat 3 sinus infections with antibiotics this year (a problem I have never ever had before surgery). 2. Whenever I reached out to share my concerns about bleeding, infection and persistent numbness, I was repeatedly gaslit, being told "well that's normal and we told you it could take years to heal." No actually, I was told 2-3 months max. 3. In addition to numbness, discomfort, and recurrent infection, my nose is still crooked and my airway is not as open as it could be. I was so traumatized by the first surgery, I don't even want to find another surgeon to make a revision, let alone let him do it! After reading these reviews it seems like they want you to have as little information up front as possible and it benefits them financially for you to come back for a revision. I met with a new ENT today and they said "I would have never sent you to him. I can't legally tell you why." Don't do it.

During my consultation Dr. Egrari he told me he would also do liposuction (paying for it) to remove some extra fat from my arms but when I asked his nurses after surgery if liposuction had been done they told me it hadn't. My results were not anywhere near what I expected/desired. I was left with approximately two inches of loose/jiggly skin and my "after" looked like someone's " before photo." I was obviously very disappointed and upset after the money spent and the painful recovery. I discussed this with Dr. Egrari during my follow-up appointment. He basically gas lit me saying the results were proportionate to my body and that my arms looked better than before. When I lifted my arms and showed him the excess skin jiggling like a bat wing, he told me that even twelve year old's have arm jiggle. If Dr. Egrari would have validated my disappointment and acknowledged that the results weren't optimal I would have continued to have trust in him knowing this could potentially happen. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. He did tell me that we could meet in 6 months and if I was still unhappy we could discuss my options to see if I still felt I needed it, but doubling down that he stands by his opinion that my results were optimal. I'm not sure how extra time would solve anything, like in 6 months my arms would miraculously tighten up and the fat would disappear. I flew out of state to get a second opinion from a highly respected surgeon who told me that I had well over two inches of loose skin that still needed to be removed along with some additional fat that required liposuction. He also said as time went on the sagging would get even worse. I'm very upset that I have to pay for another surgery and start all over. While I believe Dr. Egrari does some things right (runs a safe practice with great before and after care) I believe his surgical approach is far too conservative resulting in a disappointing outcome.
