AUSTIN'S HIDDEN WORKOUT GEM 1. The workout I've tried many workouts throughout my life, F45, orange theory, soul cycle, peloton, etc. just to name drop a few. But SWEAT440 changes the game. Their #neverlate policy really opens the door for everyone to workout- leaving executes at the door because a new class starts every ten min. Forget about uncontrollable traffic, your work schedule, etc. one thing you can alway count on- getting a sweat on at this place. I can truly say that this place never gets boring because the equipment and movements changes every time you step into the studio. I've moved my body in ways I never thought was possible and every day works a different part of the body! Such a great workout design. PLUS- my favorite part- NO TREADMILL!!! Cardio is done in different ways. No more thinking running is the only effective way to burn calories...hint hint: it's also so bad for you joints. 2. The atmosphere and staff This is the very first place I haven't felt judgment in a bouquet workout studio! There's no cliques, no member favorites, etc. Everyone welcomes you arms open!! Always up beat music playlist! Some days/times are slower than others but I like that it's always changing. It's like a open gym setting with a personal trainer. The coaches are not on a mic talking to the whole class. They are able to customize the workout to any fitness level, fitness goal, etc. It's truly a win-win! I'd also like to commend the place on their cleanliness. Their showers, bathrooms, and workout equipment is always in pristine condition. I almost forgot to mention it because it's never been a problem! 3. Conclusion You can read my review and others but try it now! Just say yes to a community of support and a new fitness journey!!

Staff was very welcoming and happy to help with any exercises or questions I had. Tough 40 minute classes but great for those wanting to get in shape. Bryan and Dave were very helpful!

    Never late!

SWEAT440 has been better for me than I could have imagined. The staff and other people working out are exceptionally nice and supportive. I'm stronger than I've ever been. I love that classes start every 10 mins. As a full time working mom to twins it was always hard to make it at the exact time for other workout classes. I know I can always start within a few minutes anytime I arrive. The private showers are so nice and great to be able to go straight to workout after. 10 out of 10 recommend giving it a try!

    Best coaches!

I took a free class and immediately fell in love with Sweat440. It always has a fun and friendly atmosphere. The coaches are attentive and professional, always making sure you're maximizing the 40mins spent here to achieve your fitness goals.

I love Sweat440! I've been attending for a little over 3 months and only have amazing things to say. The model is so convenient - you can start a workout every 10 minutes. The workouts are varied and challenging but I always feel comfortable - never judged or pressured - if I have to modify an exercise. All of the coaches are SO motivating and positive and fun, and are always there to help with questions and form. They really create an inclusive environment where I feel welcome every time I step in the gym. All the members are friendly as well - I've met some awesome people and even a gym buddy (shoutout to Brigitte!) on day one! Highly highly recommend trying them out!

I love this place! I've been going since they opened in the beginning of September.I've gone to 118 classes to date and the classes continue to be challenging. Its easy to get a few classes in a week between kids activities and working full time because of the every 10 minute start times and the classes are an efficient 40 minutes! They offer fantastic rates to all my fellow public servants - nurses, teachers, cops, city employees. Go check them out! Jamie

I am SO beyond happy that I stumbled into this gym a little over a month ago!!! First of all, there are classes every 10 minutes so you are truly never late. For me I was looking for an effective workout that fit my new work schedule and this gym is exactly that! It's such a great challenge, I feel so good afterward and the coaches are so friendly and helpful! Can't recommend Sweat440 enough. (And let me add that I have done multiple group fitness places and you just don't get the ability to get a kickass workout in at the choosing of your time elsewhere!!!) ALSO.... their commitment policy and price?Unbeatable. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!!!

Sweat440. Classes every 10 mins. Flys by! Coach Brian hypes me up for an amazing workout and makes me challenge myself!

They have plenty of machines, free weights, cardio equipment, sauna, towel service, a bunch of classes (boxing, HIIT, MetCon, yoga, cycling, etc.), turf area, sleds and recovery equipment like theraguns (for the guns ). Oh, it's also 2 stories with 4 indoor batting cages upstairs.

I've been going to HIT for a couple of years now and have really enjoyed it, but the last year,…read moreunder a new Director of Operations, has brought noticeable decline. Several great coaches have left, and in some cases, their replacements have been extremely underwhelming. I've heard consistent complaints from both coaches and members about the new manager, and unfortunately, the recent changes only reinforce those concerns. One of the biggest disappointments is the decision to eliminate cycle classes. From what many of us understand, management based this decision on the attendance of just one class that regularly had only one or two participants, a class coached by someone most members actively avoided. Meanwhile, the cycle classes taught by the stronger coaches were always at least half full, sometimes more. Yet despite months of rumors, management waited until this month to inform the cycle coaches that their classes were being cut. Completely unacceptable. One of HIT's strengths was the ability to combine HIT classes, turf workouts, and cycle for a balanced fitness routine. Removing one pillar of that variety makes the gym far less appealing. In place of cycle, they're adding a "wellness" area offering services such as IV therapy, infrared saunas, etc., services already widely available in Austin and definitely not something most members I've talked to plan to use, especially since they'll cost extra. They're also introducing Pilates, but we haven't been told if those classes will also require an additional fee. Given the high cost of Pilates equipment, most of us assume they will. On top of that, Pilates appeals to a very specific audience, and it's unclear how this fits with the gym's current member base or identity, especially in a market already saturated with Pilates studios. Across the board, members feel these decisions are being made based on what the manager wants, not what members actually value. We were never surveyed or asked for input on what changes we would support. Adding to the confusion, the gym has a large upstairs area with batting cages, and we've been told they plan to build out new rooms up there. If that's the case, why not simply move cycle upstairs instead of eliminating it? None of these changes make sense from a business standpoint, and I don't see how they'll recoup the costs. I already know multiple members who have left because of these decisions, and many more, myself included, are reconsidering their membership. It's incredibly disappointing to see member feedback ignored while the gym shifts in a direction few people asked for and even fewer will benefit from.

I know that exact date because that was the date I read the Yelp reviews and texted a couple of friends and held my breath and jumped in this "Marlow's Movement" thing whole hog. It was... painful. It many ways. Physically of course with the weight lifting and whatnot. But also emotionally. It's bizarrely difficult to go from a generally sedentary lifestyle to something that requires five days a week and twice on Saturdays. Not. Joking. It's like slipping into someone else's life. It's not bad -- just uncomfortable. His program uses a couple of things to get you to show up and keep going. 1. Accountability: You're accountable to your team and to the program. Your participation, steps, team, weight goals, etc are all being tracked through your fitbit and myfitnesspal. 2. A reward system: If your team or you "win" the program, then you go on an all expenses paid trip to Cancun. You stay at an all-inclusive resort with the other winners. 3. Community: Since all classes are small (14 peopleish) you get to know everyone else in the movement. You become this kind of "we're all in this together" family. 4. Uncomplicated Workouts: 30 minutes of whatever cardio you prefer and 30 minutes of 45 second intervals of weights/body weight exercises. Also you'll participate in some external activities - 5Ks, Saturday morning walks, a scavenger hunt. I lost weight and continue to go to class, building my muscle, getting in better shape and it's legitimately the first time I've been able to keep it off and continue to workout. I mean, I love the ease of crash diets but just feels better.

Shoal Creek was not far from my place, so i booked an appointment with Cory to learn about it. I signed up, and started my commitment to working out 4-5 days a week, even on days when i had previously made excuses for myself on why i couldnt work out, because of a work schedule or whatever i had invented to get out of physical activity, and adhering to their meal plan, which also required more planning and cooking than i was used to. I fell in love. Even though i don't like doing burpees, a year and a half after i started the trial, i'm still going, still hitting 5 days a week, still challenging myself every class that i attend. These workouts are not things that i would do if i was working out by myself, which is a good thing, and the sense of community and camaraderie keep me going. I attend the morning classes since i work nights, so Trent is the trainer that i see most often, and he really helps to make sure that no matter what your fitness level is, there's an option for you. His demeanor also makes me feel really at ease and is very encouraging. Also, with everything that's happened in the last 6 months, all the Covid shut downs and mandates, the trainers were working hard to give us content, Zoom classes and recorded workouts with modifications and options for weights from things that can be found in the household... I did not gain any Covid weight, and i attribute that to having workouts available, and having access to the meal plan, which are pretty easy to prepare, and pretty tasty... and now that they've reopened, they keep it clean and have a great environment to make me feel safe. I love this place, and love the compliments that i get from people that have noticed the difference from my attendance. And i feel great!

Add the tum tum, and you would think this is the last place I would end up. The different orthopedic doctors and Physical Therapists all basically said go to something like this and see what makes you hurt :-( . I called and talked to the business and it turns out that they have many different types of classes, including rehab and recovery. They would make adjustments for me if needed. The business was spotless and organized to a T. Then came the class. The instructor, Jennifer, was quite charming as was the staff. The attendees were all ages, shapes, sizes, and I was not the only man there. Jennifer said she could adjust the instruction if needed due to all my damage and I said no way, go full blast and if I had problems I would adjust myself. So, full of confidence, I started immediately with the class which was a "grace", or something like that, for newbies. Jennifer was enthusiastic, and kept the tempo going. I had some problems at first following the instructions as I was new to this, but with the mirrors and her assistants, I started getting the idea. Yeah! I heard "shake it off and rest" but I could never see where "rest" was in the picture. I realized that if I totally stopped I would never be able to start up again, so I did the best I could. Then I learned to hate the words "bar and barre". When you are told to grab or lean on the bar, you are really going to get it. All in all, it was wonderful. Jennifer or one of her assistants would come and help with advice, and there was only 2 moves I could not do. When we were finally finished, my muscles were shaking so bad from lack of use in the past few years, I asked my wife to drive home, much to her glee. Fast forward 1 day and I am worn out and sore, but in a good way. I am definitely more flexible, I don't have pain where I used to have pain, so this event probably saved me a lot of money to doctors and therapists as I know now where to target and to what extent I can handle and still live.
