I use to really like this place, good beard trim and facial massage, I always tipped very well. I had my regular appt set but had a family emergency the morning of, I called to cancel and tell them of my situation but the only thing they cared about was making sure I knew that I was being charged the $30.00 for missing the appt. I hope the $30.00 they made off me covers the $150.00 I use to spend. So I have taken my business elsewhere. This did not bother me, but the adult language that was used for regular conversations could offend some folks. read more

I had the pleasure of checking out a local Rowlett Barbershop that just recently celebrated their one year anniversary. I had a haircut for myself and my two year old toddler. Julian cut my son's hair and Jimmy cut my hair. I really appreciated the attention to detail that they both gave us. I was worried my toddler would freak out but honestly, he did extremely well. Normally, I would have to give him a screen but he stayed very calm and didn't move around too much. Julian was also very careful with him and did not rush to risk any potential accidental cuts. I like to attribute the calm environment to the careful decor of the shop. The greenery of the artificial leave with the white flowers helped induce an extremely zen like environment that really helped reduce any stimulation for my son. It ensured that the cut was extremely high quality. My haircut was serviced by Jimmy, who happened to be the owner. We had a great conversation about his journey of beginning this shop. He's a very humble owner and he wants to grow this business to be associated with premiere and elegance. He's doing everything the right way. He was very meticulous in cutting my hair and never rushed once. The hot towel service was included with my beard trim, which I've never gotten before at any prior barbershops and yet the price was the same if not better than those places. The value of the cuts at Sway Barber Lounge is excellent. Very comparable and competitive prices compared to most in the area. They block out a very good time block so you won't have any next scheduled clients giving you that uncomfortable stare because they are waiting. I'm happy to have a local business in my area that provides high quality customer service while ensuring the best premiere quality haircut. I really hope the best for this barbershop and I most definitely will return here with my son. read more

Jimmy cut my hair and did an outstanding job. Clean cut just the way I wanted. Haven't had a haircut that looked this good in about a year! Took his time and figured out how to make my weird hairline work with the style I wanted. Inside of the shop has a great vibe. First of all, I'm not the type of person that ever leaves a bad review. I'm always trying to find the positive of bad situations, this is why I took this long to post a review. A few months ago, I took my 9 year old son to get a haircut. My son had pimples on his forehead , some where on the sides and right in front of his forehead., that could have easily been avoided while cutting his hair. Again, they were on his FORHEAD, not on top of his head. For some reason, the barber decided to shave them. Without my authorization, did not even cared to asked me or even tell me afterward. Before paying, my son said he felt sore and that the barber had shaved his pimples, been the type of person that I am. In order to avoid confortation, specially infront of my kids . . I dint say anything. I just paid, even gave a tip!! And left, thinking it will be ok. Praying that the pimples that he cut with the machine will not get infected or leave a scar. We'll it did got infected and it did live a lot of scars !!! After taking him to a doctor, he was prescribe a special cream and medicine so the infection will go away. The infection i belive is gone but the scars are still there!! Now I have to spend money on a dermatologist to figure out how to get rid of the scars!!! He is a 9 year old kid!! The barber should of asked me if I wanted that done!!! He should of NEVER DONE THAT!!! From what I though it was a simple haircut has turn into a nightmare that can potentially live permanent damage!!! I don't even know what to do!! I regret not speaking up right there and then!! Specially when it comes to my son! I regret that I took him here!! And I know this place will not take any responsibility , so it will be a waste of time to call and complain. Months ago or now, same thing. Nothing will be done.. but my only hope is that they don't bring down. This review , so people think twice before coming here!! especially parents with kids! read more
