    I feel bad writing this because my stylist was very nice but this is the worst haircut I have ever had. I wanted some length taken off and a full highlight. My hair is fried. It was coming off in chunks on the brush (I was panicking inside). There was nothing I could do at that point. I have only had my hair done 2 other times in 18 months so it wasn't due to over processing on my part. I have very thick hair and I could tell the cut was rushed. I left with damp hair that I couldn't run my fingers through. There's not a lot a salon owner can do to make it right. I am too embarrassed to go back. I was too embarrassed to say anything. On top of it being fried it's splotchy and the foils bled. Now I'm left trying to decide to cut even more inches off or try and have someone fix my roots or just wear a lot of hats. ‍

    Roots galore didn't even get covered. No response from salon so I'm gonna got spend another $175 at another salon. Not happy

    Went to get my hair done her. Full highlights and a cut. Paid $175. When I got home my boyfriend told me it looked like they didn't even get my roots at all and took a pic to show me. Had an appt scheduled to get it fixed. Ok fine- let me waste another 2.5 hours of my life in the salon chair. Then the receptionist called me to inform me that stylist was sick and they didn't know when she was coming back. Tried to reschedule and the problem is that I'm out of town most of September. We got an appt scheduled thru another phone after they let me know the stylist was no longer with the salon but when I told her I'm not paying more and it's a correction she said she would call me back. Haven't heard shit but crickets over here and I'm out $175 with some busted up hair and grown out roots

    I am back and very satisfied afterwards! Let me explain~ 1. The environment: Clean as per usual :) 2. The wait: None. Cayla definitely planned ahead and actually had me come in earlier. Noice. I got lucky. I had an appointment also FYI :) 3. The staff: very friendly! I was definitely greeted pleasantly :D. I may have been talking too much when I was getting the cut but I couldn't help it lol. That was awesome. 4. The cut: I brought the picture I wanted to mimic as close as possible, got the consult/advice/expectations from Cayla, and at the end. Perf. Haha. (I honestly did my own research prior to coming in to make sure that my expectations were fair then came in open minded) Verdict. I am still blown away like last time. My cut came back great and I had fun in the process. I'll be back again most likely since this is only the first phase from getting that silver / grey highlight :)

    Well she did it again! Katie is an amazing stylist!! I had blonde for almost 2 years, and finally decided to go darker and ashyer....and we were able to accomplish that and kept my hair healthy! Katie was so patient with me and gave me the best advise for my hair! Thanks Katie!!

    Butchered and burned! What a complete nightmare it has been trying to get my hair highlighted! In September I went to a salon near me and I got highlights and a haircut. My hair turned out very nice. It wasn't as blonde as I wanted but it still looked pretty. I went back in December to get more highlights so that my hair would be more blonde. But instead I ended up with darker hair. The owner was nice enough to refund me my money as she knew that I was very disappointed in the outcome. That is good business. I was going to give the salon one more chance to fix my hair but after waiting over a week for a response to find out availability and be able to schedule an appointment, I decided it's best to go elsewhere. Wednesday night I went to a different salon that I had never been to called Swank. Huge mistake! The girl that did my hair, Britni Paxston, completely damaged and butchered my hair. The appointment was scheduled from 6 PM to 8 PM but I wasn't done until 9 PM. There were several issues during the appointment. She was very rough with me, seemed like she was rushing to try to get me done, when she put me under the heater it was on full force and it was burning the top of my head. Then when she put me under the water to rinse I asked her to use the coldest water possible because my head was on fire. I didn't really want to get a haircut because it was an additional $40 but she said that I had to because my ends were so damaged. She had to use toner in my hair about 3 to 4 different times to get the brassiness out. What I didn't know is that while she was toning my hair multiple times she was darkening it once again. All in all I ended up with dark hair once again and a terrible haircut and damaged hair. I paid a total of $145 plus $30 gratuity. Totaling $175. This is the most I have ever paid to have my hair done. The next day I contacted the owner, Miranda Vinyard, and explained to her what happened. She told me that I could come back in and have my hair redone, "same service", at no cost. She had me come back in that night to speak with her husband, Nate, so that he can take a look at my hair and we can discuss what's going to be done. He made an appointment for me to have my hair re-done at no cost on February 7. However, the next day when I sent Miranda the pictures of what my hair looked like before and after , she got upset and changed her mind and told me that I would not be able to come in to have my hair re-done and fixed. She said I would have to pay for it out of pocket. She completely denied offering me the option to have my hair re-done at no cost. She blocked me from texting her, told me to not email or call, and told me not to come back into the salon. Very disturbing, very unprofessional, and terrible business After reading the other negative posts, I am quite sure the owner will respond by blaming me, the client. That seems to be her pattern. She will claim I want service for free when in fact I paid $175. She will claim that I had been warned that my hair would damaged when in fact I was told by hair my the stylist that she would do her best the get me as blonde as possible, and IF damage occurs I would need a haircut. I was wiling to get a haircut if my hair turned out blonde. But it did not turn out blonde, instead dark and damaged, and still needed to be cut. Oh and by the way, since I left the salon on Wed night, the left side of my neck and behind my earlobe has been icky and super irritated. Not sure if it is a chemical rash or burn from whatever they used on me. Warning! Do not go to Swank Salon! If they mess up your hair they will somehow try to twist it around and blame it on you saying that it's your fault. They will not refund you your money and they will not try to fix your hair. And on top of that they videotape every single service on security cameras. They then try to bully you by saying "I have your service on video." I am so disappointed and appalled by their behavior. Feb 8th update: Look who's stalking my Facebook Page! Wow! The owner of Swank Salon! She is the one that last week blocked me from texting her, told me not to email or call, and told me not to come back to the salon and refused to fix the damage that was done to my hair by her stylist! And as you can see she also threatened me on yelp saying that she would take legal action if I refuse to take down the the review of my horrible experience at her salon. She even said that she contacted the commerce city police department and told them that I refuse to stop contacting her which is so untrue. And now on top of that all, she stocking my Facebook page. Yesterday I was able to get some pictures of all the damage that was done to my hair by Swank Salon. I had to get a major color correction done that took 3 1/2 hours to fix all the damage that was done to my hair by Swank Salon. See pics below. They are now visible for you to see on Yelp along with my review. Beware people!

    This place is a HARD NO.... They don't stand behind their products or their stylists . I went in there yesterday AND Nate did my hair and it was my first time at the salon and a HUGE mistake on my part . I told him do not put any brassy or red in my hair so as he was putting the color in my hair I said, "wait a minute that looks reddish" and he kinda of snapped back at me and said "that's not red". It sure as heck turned out red on my hair. In fact my hair has never looked worse than it does now. I also bought some of their products they're so called all natural products and I used them last night to see if it would help get some of the red out of my hair and it did not but it did make me break out in a rash and I was highly allergic to the stuff in their shampoo, cream rinse and styling serum so the manager/owner who I just found out through the grapevine is NATE , he would not let me return it. I hope nothing like this ever happens to anyone else .... Horrible ownership and customer service . Also Nate needs to learn to listen to his clients !! I do NOT recommend "swank" TERRIBLE !!!!! They said I yelled and cussed out the girl on the phone which is laughable. I never cussed at anyone and it's obvious it's just their way of not having to try to fix my hair or to give me a refund for their products. I saw no sign that says nonrefundable nor did Nate tell me that when I was purchasing them but then they told me to read their salons policy like who does that before they go get their hair done to read the pages of a salon policy . I sure regret ever stepping foot in this place . What a joke . I also REALLY regret giving nate a $25 tip. It was on my way home when I had my sunroof open that I could see the red in my hair and I was literally in tears. What kind of company would do this to anybody instead of trying to make it right. No company that I've ever been to . Nobody with integrity would do this such a thing and what they've put me through is very wrong at every angle. They texted me at 3:34 and said my stylist was ready in 15 minutes so I headed over. I was there at 3:50 and I said Hi! She asked if I checked in online and I said yes. On their appointment board it showed that I wasn't in store yet. Then I got another text saying "you're up, get to The store". I was already here and their board said I was next at zero minutes. They took two other guys who were checked in later than me and my wait time went from zero minutes to 25 minutes. So now I'm scheduled at 4:30 and I'll have sat here for 40 minutes in store watching everyone else go in front of me despite checking in after me. I brought to the stylists attention and she made up some BS excuse that they're running behind. The truth is, she didn't mark me as being in store when I came in and said hi. I followed every instruction and brought it to their attention and still got treated like crap. I can put up with a lot, but I reeeeeeaaaaally hate when businesses waste my time and ignore me when I bring it to their attention. I do not recommend Sports Clips and I haven't even gotten my very expensive haircut yet. Sad

It can be tough to find a stylist who's great with both adults and kids, but Selene has a wonderful, patient approach that makes everyone feel comfortable. My son actually enjoys getting his hair cut, and we always leave the salon looking and feeling our best. We're consistently thrilled with the results and can't recommend her highly enough.
