They masked the fact that his infection was spreading. He was rushed back to the hospital with the infection spread to his bloodstream and his kidneys were failing. She made me feel at ease and assured me that I would win this. I thought I'd never recover from this injury. My mobility is now at 92%. I certainly did not enjoy the recovery and pain. However, the staff at DHT made my therapy enjoyable (never thought I'd use 'enjoyable' and 'therapy' in the same sentence). Carlos-the ability to be myself and your humor got me through this. You're awesome and I'll never forget your gentle approach - except when you were stretching me, not so gentle :) Thank you for pushing me!!! I observed the therapist, Juanri Tyler, interacting with my child in a manner that I felt was inappropriate and not consistent with trauma-informed care practices. I discussed my concerns with both the therapist and the onsite manager; however, I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed. I subsequently submitted a formal complaint via email but did not receive a response or follow-up communication. At the time, I was informed that the facility was understaffed and that the therapist was new. While I understand staffing challenges can occur, I believe it is important that all staff working with children are appropriately trained and supervised, particularly in a therapeutic setting. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location to other families seeking services for their children.
