You have chosen to make returns difficult for your customers. For this reason alone I will not be back. Now lets talk about Caitlin. Caitlin has a soft voice, muffled under a mask. I asked her a question which she responded to with a very fast, soft answer. While Caitlin may be well-versed in Autozone information, I am not. Further, I am hard of hearing. When I said, "Could you please say that a little louder and a little slower?" Caitlin repeated herself, YELLING the answer with a very odd maniacal shine in her eyes. She was absolutely, overtly patronizing and rude. I am a 40 year old woman. I have moderate hearing loss as a result of viral meningitis I was sick with last year. This makes life difficult. Caitlin's treatment of me was cruel and unnecessary. It was also extremely embarrassing. Caitlin appears to have some special needs herself, and ought to keep in mind that if she continues to speak to people this way, eventually someone is going to bite back.

I first came to this auto parts store the day after Christmas, it's a tough day for anyone to have…read moreto work and would have been understandable if they had been less than happy to be there, but that was not the case. I needed a special bit to remove my license plates screws (once you've had your plates stolen you opt for these kinds of things). I wasn't sure what bit I needed, but the guys at the store on this day were happy to let me try out everything they had. I went thru about a dozen different bits looking for the one I needed, and the staff was of good humour and helpful the whole time. I ended up not finding what I needed here, but I have to give them five stars for being so helpful on a day when most employees are giving you the stink eye for making them be at work. The service alone will make me return. END NOTE: Shortly after I left the store, I realized (d'oh) that I had used Allen key screws on the plates and that I already had a set of Allen wrenches in my car. Problem solved!

The return was process but I didn't get my tax back. So glad I was paying attention. I questioned the associate Juan (who later turned out to be a manager) who told me I couldn't get my tax back unless I returned them to the store I purchased them at in Washington - and that it has been this way for the past 10 years! I then had to rebuy them (I felt like I was being scammed the entire time) so now I have two charges on my card and I get to wait however long it takes to go back onto my card - only problem is how do I now get my tax back as it will appear in their system as they have already been returned from the original purchase. I contacted corporate (Tony was a great help and very patient) and it sounds like their Oregon locations are grossly misinformed (I called multiple location and was given the same information) as Corporate confirmed they were wrong with giving me this information and they should have never said NO to me and made it right. Corporate wanted to give me a gift card instead of giving me my money back, which I refused as I shouldn't have to be given a gift card when I didn't pay with one. Ultimately, corporate had to call the store I would be returning them to in order for me to get my money back. What a fiasco and so much wasted time that could have been avoided. They lost a customer for life over $6!

The manager profusely apologized and was all over himself to help me, and said he would talk to the store manager, he was just the assistant manager, I bought the blades from him, he installed in like 30seconds, I said there's 80 dollars your store just lost would have lost,had you not assisted me, I know in the scene of auto zones day 80 dollars is nothing, but it's 80 dollars you would not have had. I said you know iam sure it's hard to get people to work for you, but that attitude is not acceptable, if he drives off me, how many more has he disrespected to the point that O'Reilly, and car quest is just down the street.
